Banned or not, I think it is completely relevant that John made a heartfelt apology....and very honorable of Kelli to post it.

I agree. There is markedly obvious difference between someone posting a communication from a banned member, and someone reporting back for said member. If all the bad crap that Jas posted was relevant, the apology should be as well. I mean, I really doubt Kelli was trying to post as a proxy for him.

if you can post things a banned person says.. and discuss that when negative.. why is it bad to post/discuss when it is positive..

I understand that in many cases, posting emails would not be relevant.. but this one is.

Kelli, I am glad he has taken a step in the right direction. Although it does not make what he said ok, or take the sting of it away.. it is a good step, and we all know how stubborn he is.. so you know that a sincere apology is just that.. sincere.. no way he would write something like that if it were not truly meant.

John's continued actions are not those of someone I'd be content to do more business with, nice animals or not. There comes a point when the way you speak to people comes into play, ans Jas just doesn't seem to know (or care) where the 'socially unacceptable to cross' line is.

He and a friend spent the better part of a day attacking a small, harmless forum a week or so ago. Up until they were both banned, the insults from Jas' friend Joe were uninspiring. Then a friend of mine gets this message via her facebook, and the wording is classic Jas who obviously did some coaching. (see attached) This friend of Jas' real name is on there per the third party rule, and he is a member here. Combined with the posts that day elsewhere, not the words of someone who is remorseful or truly apologetic for anything they've ever said.

Jas, I'm so disappointed in you. I really thought, for a long time, that there was just a misunderstood good guy in there. That people just heard you wrong. But now I see that you'll stoop to any level to be as vile and disgusting as you can. I would not do business again with Jas based on his continued behavior. The purchased animal is no longer in my collection, either.

I have a few from John, it says the EXACT same thing more or less. Since John had already been banned from the site under another name, I was quite surprised that he came back as SOON AS Joepythons showed up..showed teamwork to ME.

IMO, Joe had help from Jas in writing that, since we all know Jas loves to bring up dead loved ones.

Sorry to break your heart but John HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT i wrote to Deb on facebook.So why are you lieing here? You know this because i told you in a pm here.So why are you posting that info instead of Deb? Is it because she can not get me banned from other sites because of what i said to her? So now your going to give it a run and try and involve John to hide the truth? I was going to publicly apologize to Deb on several forums but retracted it once a couple of her family members tried to contact me on facebook.This can be verified by JUDYC here as i told her in a pm.Yes it was wrong of what i said and i dropped it now your lieing here why is that?

Lying? Where Joe? Your PM to me came after I posted this and does not change my opinion.. I don't lie. I also don't sling racial slurs, or poke pressure points regarding dead loved ones. Why do you continue to think I had anything to do with trying to get you banned elsewhere? I told you that's not so, but apparently that doesn't fit the criteria you want to label me with. So if I'm a liar rofl, doesn't that make you one, too?

And is still still my opinion that Jas helped you come up with that because it sounds like a lot of other things he's said and your posts that day on the forum were nowhere near as nasty (or let's face it, creative) so I doubt you're capable of that on your own, and that was the final straw for me regarding supporting him. Which (see above) is why I rescinded part of my original post giving him support as a good guy. If I had said I was basing it on something I had seen and not posted anything backing it, I'd have gotten grief because I didn't post a source. So I erred on the side of posting my source. It has everything to do with why I no longer support Jas. And nothing to do with this personal vendetta you seem to think it does.

I no longer think Jas is a good guy. I've had a chance to see it with my own eyes. End of story.

That is my first take on it as well. I think it would be more appropriate that if one decided that such information should be posted that it would be better served on the thread about the particular person making the statements.

It is not against the rules here to post third party information. It is against the rules to post anonymous third party information. Considering there is no dispute that you sent it and it has your name on it, it's not in violation of the rules here. It may better suited to a thread with your name on it. The relevance of such a post on the BOI would be determined by the individual readers.

Lastly, let me make it clear about the rules on this site. If Fauna is used to send such a message by email, private message or any means, it will not be tolerated here. Period.

I fail to see any reason for his comment from Facebook to have been added to this particular thread in the first place, but we're not going to let that derail the thread into a debate about that.

I am absolutely blown away at the vicious, hurtful things that were said by Jas/John and his "friends". He was often the antagonist of many a thread or conversation here on Fauna, and I experienced my own fair share of brutality from him, especially during a really hard time. I always figured he was just some cocky smartmouth. But even knowing his personality, some of these things are just an all-time low and absolutely uncalled for and NOT appropriate under any circumstances whatsoever. The hateful, racist, ignorant remarks about Deborah are just sickening and disgusting and serve no purpose other than to inflict mental wounds. And Kelli, as much as you and I disagree on things and butt heads often, I am so sorry that John had the gall to throw your family's loss in your face like that. That is just uncalled for, vindictive, cold, heartless, and evil, and NO ONE should ever have to endure something like that. EVER. Karma is a John, you reap what you sow. You will get yours in the end.

Go with your instinct, it has always served you well. This is just my opinion though, but a person who writes hateful racist remarks in a public forum feels that way. It's unacceptable no matter where it was said.
