In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Mythical Dragonz - Stay Away!

This is coming from a totally unbiased point of view, as I have only been a member here since November and really only recently have had much time to actually browse the site. I don't own any bearded dragons, but I still feel completely in the right to comment here, as this thread is largely based on poor customer service. I work in the restaurant industry, so customer service is something I am very familiar with...and Mythical Dragons, in my mind, has shown an absolutely horrifying lack of desire to make things right by the customer. The OP(Mike, I believe) has shown proof of the problems he has experienced with his newly purchased dragon from the get go, and said proof is being completely disregarded by the seller. In the case of violating the TOS set forth...I can't actually see that those terms have been violated. If I recall correctly, he notified Steven/Nicole of the problems with his dragon BEFORE actually seeing the vet. Had they been cooperative with his notification, they easily should have seen that the animal needed vet care. If it was an easy fix such as stress or a minor RI, Mike could just have easily canceled the vet appointment. A 24 hour health guarantee is questionable as well. If you want to run a respectable business dealing with live animals, you need to provide a better guarantee than any shoddy pet store would give. 24 hours would hardly be enough time to properly assess an animal, especially since(as said multiple times already) reptiles are very good at hiding health problems.

As stated, I don't own any bearded dragons, but I have started researching them as I may want one when I finish my new reptile room. I am very thankful for the BOI and threads like this-though at times overly drawn out, off topic, and full of insane circular reasoning(if you could even call it that) by the offending party. I know that I will personally never give my business to Steve/nicole in light of their unprofessionalism and generally careless ways. A novel's worth of BG threads(266 pages to be exact, not counting Ed Clark threads) involving Nicole should be more than enough to drive away any potential customer.

Mike, best of luck with Akira. You're doing right by that dragon, and barring any further tragedy, I'm sure it will be fine in your hands. I believe it will take much more than a stroke of luck to see a dime back to compensate for your vet bills, but at this point it may just have to be chalked up as a lesson learned. I've been there as I got screwed big time when I bought my first ball python morph 4 years ago.

That this thread has turned away one potential buyer takes some of the frustration away. I only hope anyone seeing one of the animals they currently have listed checks this thread before making the same mistake I did.

And Akira is doing a lot better (through no help of Nicole/Steven/Mythical Dragonz).

Your not going to get ANY help from Nicole... and since Steve doesn't seem to care what she is doing to HIS business.... then I think its safe to say they are two peas in a pod and you wont get any help from him either.

Very glad to hear that the dragon is recovering, and that she is obviously in much better hands that she was with Steven and Nicole. Not that I'm surprised to see that Nicole had absolutely no care or concern for what happened, but I was KIND OF hopeful that maybe Steven would man-up and make sure that the right thing was done. Guess those two are meant for one another.

Yep... goes to show he is either blinded by the ummmmm.... well..... ya know ;)

Or he is just as bad as she is.

Steven,

Since you are able to put your 2 cents in another thread that has pretty much nothing to do with you, why is it that you cannot come to your OWN Bad Guy thread and answer the questions that are actually asked of you? You're so quick to jump into a thread made about one of your customers that is trying to scam other good, credible breeders, but you cannot answer the questions regarding your own business?? :shrug01:

You've been asked repeatedly these questions:

Why aren't you following the advice of the professional--that you chose to use her letter to show you were a credible breeder--and extend your guarantee?

Where is your proof that Mike ever demanded that you ship in temperatures that voided your guarantee?

Why won't you take care of Mike, after you sold him a sick dragon that required vet bills and a lot of caring for in order for her after the vet?

You've shown us all that you only care about getting $$$ for your animals and could care less about their health, OR YOUR CUSTOMER, after the sale. If I'm wrong, come to YOUR OWN BAD GUY THREAD and tell us why!

Link to the BG thread?

Lots of postings for available dragons. Figured it might be a good time just to let everyone know this issue was never resolved by Nicole or Steven.

Good luck to anyone else who purchases an animal from Mythical Dragonz.

Sad situation to go unresolved. Good example of how important competent CS can be.

I see Mythical Dragonz are still advertising here, but their 'for sale' threads are all "closed".

How does this work? Is this done by the OP to eliminate people linking to this thread, or are mods closing these threads because of this issue?

That's to bad Mike, though I can't say I'm surprised....James, the seller can lock their adds

Anyone who posts in the classifieds has the option of locking their own ads. That way, no one can add anything (such as a link to this thread, for example).

Shady, shady, shady...

So a couple of days back, they posted a really nice looking Leucistic dragon that I inquired about. I had read the majority of the bad postings so my first email to them informed them that I had read all of the negative comments about their business, but not actually being involved with any of them, wanted to play devils advocate and hear their side of the story. What I got back from them was an email basically labeling all of the successful dragon breeders "crooks" and "Steven" went on to tell me that the top breeders are just trying to run the smaller breeders out of business because they can't keep up and are putting themselves out of business. Yeah, whatever. Anyways, I go in to this transaction with the mindset that immediately upon receipt of this dragon, I will take it to my vet to have a fecal done and an overall physical. Taking the cost of this into consideration, I began bargaining with "Steven" in regards to a price on the male. After obtaining my zip, he shoots back a price that is reasonable, however considering at least an $80 vet bill on top of it, I decline and offer him $25 less then what he offered. I then made mention of the vet check and was then informed by "Steven" that his fiance' had studied under a vet and that they have a $500 microscope and that they routinely do fecals on all of their dragons and that they medicate them for parasites every 6 months. He then went on to advise me that this male was due for his normal de-worming in 8 days and that they would go ahead and do so for me. I never asked for this and would have preferred them not go on and medicate. Instead, I asked for the instructions on how they administered it and some other pics other then the ones they had posted. I get an email back saying that he can't disclose the dosage information to me and I then get a series of pics with the dragon and some white liquid substance coming from his mouth. I am told that this is the panacur dosage that they went on and administered to the dragon anyways. I then went ahead and bumped my offer up $10 less then what they had proposed and I didn't hear anything until this afternoon. I get an email telling me that they were running on generators and that they would get back with me shortly. At this point I am assuming that I am waiting on payment info, however in the end, I guess they were backtracking and nervous about me taking the dragon to the vet to have tests done as soon as I received him. I send another email asking for a reply about the dragon and receive an email telling me that it was SOLD. Hmmmm.... that's a little odd don't you think? When I send them an email back inquiring how it all of a sudden became SOLD when I was awaiting payment info all morning, he sends me an email back saying that I wasn't nice to them and that they didn't want there dragon to go to me. Give me a break!!! Not one word that was ever exchanged was mean. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the entire time and gave them a chance to prove themselves. In the end, they become uneasy with what I might find out about the animal that they sold me and they back track and try to put the blame on me!!! STAY AWAY PEOPLE!! How are they still able to post on Fauna when they conduct business like this?!?!?!?

It would be a little more substantial if you were to post the actual emails, with the headers. Not saying you're lying, but basically as you posted it, it's hearsay.

Sadly we where scammed. A small group of what we call the "Big Shot Breeders" have been trying to run small breeders off. We sold a Red Female to one of them not knowing of this and they tried to claim she was sick with all these vet reports. We found it odd they did not show any information like dragon name gender color. So we called the vet it turned out they took a Yellow Male to the vet while our dragon was a Red Female. This hobby can be very cut throat lately as many of the big breeders got too big and can't keep up and are going under. I have sold Hundreds of dragons with no issues what so ever. I shipped 12 last week and everyone is thrilled. I have 3 more going out Monday possibly four. All I can tell you is I am very close friends with several reptile rescues ones with 501(3c) licenses they have been in my house many times and love the set up and dragons. We are looking at getting our non profit rescue license to do so the state looks at your facility.

Let me know what you would like to know about this boy.

Hi There,

I am interested in this guy but I can't help but notice all of the negative publicity your company has received. Would you care to give me your side of this?? I hate to just discredit and not buy from you without hearing your side of things. Thanks!

That is terrible news. Hopefully you get your power back soon. Let me know what you would like to do about the dragon.

That's odd. I got an email earlier saying that you would be getting back with me. Customer service is just another flaw in your operation I guess.
