In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Emiley Jones (Emileypaige776)

Emiley, what did Bridgette send back to you? From what I'm seeing, my guess is that Bridgette only sent back what was left of $300 (about 291) and they you lost the fees on that. That would be close to $20...but I'm only guessing at this point.

Good grief! Even if she had lost any money due to fees (she didn't), the maximum amount it could have been is about $11.00, which is 2.9% of the $300 you originally sent her.

$20 would be if the fees were paid both ways, Emily -> Bridgette = $9, then Bridgette -> Emily = ~$8.5... so $17.5ish or about $20.

Of course, this is all unnecessary as paypal returns most of the fee (except 30 cents) for refunds!!!

Man, I've had one or two refunds in my time and I've never had a seller deduct fees, even when it was a 100% mistake on my part.

Yeah. Me? I'd send an inquiry to Paypal about the fee deduction :dgrin:

Lol that's funny! She took out funds for "fees charged" from paypal. Money hungry much?

Whatever. I got the majority back. Can't complain.

Bridgette you are the BAD GUY here. I would almost be willing to bet that you just sunk your reputation here on Fauna. Way to get started in the business

I am guessing that the seller was charged fees because of splitting up the refund. I don't think that Paypal has an option for partial refunds, so she probably made them as payments. Again, this would be the seller's fault for not double checking with the buyer to see that they still want the remaining animals before issuing a partial refund, and she should eat the cost of the fees.

Ummmm yes they do. Last year I had a wholesale deal going out. Guy bought 22 snakes. When it came time to pack them up I had one that had escaped. I refunded him the amount on that species since I didn't have anything else. Partial fees got refunded back to me as well.

Any idea what happens if you give a partial refund, then want to refund more? XD

The refund link is still at the bottom of the page. My guess is you can refund up until you refund all the money or a set time frame expires. I think that is either 60 or 90 days after payment has been made.

Actually you can give either a full or a partial refund using Pay Pal. I've done that a few times over the years.

from their website-

Thanks! I didn't realize that part. I was trying to think of why that money could possibly have been taken out, and that's all I could come up with.

The buyer shouldn't be punished because the seller didn't know how to send the money back correctly. To me, around $20 is a noticeable amount and those fees should be given back.

Why is it my fault that she did not check the post before sending payment? I'm not sure about anyone else, but I am a bit more careful with my money. Yes, I could have been a b!tch and said tough luck, you bought them fair and square, see you later. Instead I refunded her money and shared my situation with what I consider to be a bad buyer.

This is enough for me to never do business with this person. Bridgette Taccolini shame on you :NoNo:

Kyle. I didn't receive money back from any "charges" from paypal she may have taken out. It was only a few bucks anyways. But I didn't ask her for it back either. I assume if she needed to lie about charges in the first place she needs it more than I do?

Guess her reputation was only worth 10 measly bucks... might have been a little over priced anyways lol.

Way to handle you BG thread Emiley!

Wow, just saw this thread and read it from start to finish. The absurdity of the entire situation is just over the top. Not sure how anyone had the gall to post the thread in the first place, but then the ignorance and attitude that followed was just unbelievable. No need to hand her a shovel, apparently she brought her own.

Glad you didn't taken for more than the $11 you didn't get back Emiley. You've handled the entire situation with class though.

Emiley, do you plan on giving me back the $300 you "stole" from my paypal account? I refunded your money on Feb 24th. You placed a hold on your original payment, leaving me negative -$300. You have your money, why are you trying to steal from me? At first I thought you would come to your senses and release the payment, but this is going on two weeks that you have had $300 that you basically stole from my account. Like everyone else I have bills to pay and purchases to make and need my money back. Release the payment please and this will not go any further. Everyone can go back to smack talking.

goto paypal screen and hit the PrtScn(print screen) button and then paste it to a blank document.........then attach picture to your post.
