    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

screenshot of the other email. not to sure why this screen shots a little more choppy though, but you can still read it. same time stamps...so the emails must have gotten hung up somehow and came to my email at the same time....wouldn't be the first time something went wrong with some sort of computer or text hanging up...i have been up front and answered and showed everything that i could to best best of my knowledge i hope this maybe helps to clear at least the me tampering wit the emails subject.

I havent seen Chris say " I never typed either one of those e-mails? maybe I missed it. there are a few post.

I fully agree were at the point of a screen shot. BUT would this prove chris lied about typing the dragons genetics in a email.(Anthony copy and paste job) Chris stated that he didnt say the dragon was a double het right? Then theres a e-mail with the dragons genetics.

Again , the dragons genetics were discussed over the phone before the trade (pretty sure anyway)

No, he certainly said the dragon was double het in November. I don't think that is in question in my mind. My problem with this whole thing is that nowhere in the original emails concerning the trade did he ever say it was a double het. I know there were many phone conversations but that is the big problem here. This whole thing teeters on whether the male was touted as a 100% double het or 100% het hypo and 50% het trans during the original negotiation. Unfortunately, I just don't see a way for either party to produce evidence one way or the other.

If someone emailed me 2 months later asking about the genetics of a specific animal, it would certainly take some effort to search through the breeding records to find it. Granted I would find it and have that information eventually but not everyone keeps as meticulous a records as some of us do. I certainly hope that Chris has learned that he needs to keep better records of his animals but I'm not sure there was an intent to scam you when he told you the dragon was double het (I may have to retract that if future deals show a similar pattern).

Chris offered to make this right by sending you some dragons. Now I understand if you don't want to trust the genetics but you cannot expect him to send you a female that is worth WAY more than the original male leather in question for free.

I'm not sure what more can come from this thread in terms of resolution. What kind of reasonable solution would it take in your mind for Chris to make this right? After all, that is the main thing the BOI can do for you is try to find a mutually agreeable solution to a bad situation.

I agree, the BOI is here to help and you have been reasonable. Maybe trading back for the gun is the way to go if he will. Chris, you need to step in here. Also, to be reasonable a G23 even with extra mags is probably a $500-550 pkg. realistically.
 
on the glock comment...i bought the gun brand new in august...he had the gun by the end of September, it was a new in box G23 less then a few hundred rounds through it...the barrel barely had any wear and tear on it, it was mint. im not saying the gun and all accessories were worth what i paid but my gun for his 2 dragons was fair we did agree on that..but the trade was for a dbl het leather and the female, i got a normal leather and the female. i told chris several times i wasn't out to rake him over the coals but would like something to justify his pretty big mistake that set me back quite some time.. i have been more then nice and calm about this prior to the boi and even now. and chris has only showed enough respect on the situation to post in here, what 2 times? he hasn't tried to call text email or anything hes basically avoiding the situation because i don't want his male.

the other comment about me asking for a female worth wayyy more money then this male...he was the one who told me i could have the female normal non- het leather or 2 het males for my trouble. i did not in any way go to him and ask for her, he gave me options i chose the female, and he backed out of that. honestly what more can i do here? i got beat and i guess im just accepting thats how he handles his business.

but again thats on him and when people in the future use the BOI for what its here for im sure people will choose to go to someone else who either doesn't have a bad guy thread under there name, or someone who did have a Bad guy BOI thread but made the situation right.

again thanks to everyone who has put there input and advice in on this situation.

i will say chris did just try to call me and left me a voice mail...i did ignore the call and responded via text saying that no offense to him but i will def not be handling anything further on the phone and i also told him i would be more then happy to handle this via emails because i would like everything to have a paper trail to cover my own back.
 
does any one have an opinion about where i should go from here, what do i ask for to make it right? or does this just all end here like this?
 
If the op can't provide any proof that the other party claimed the male to be a double het BEFORE the trade took place this one's a wash in my opinion. It looks to me to be a misunderstanding. Thomas Clarke, can you give an approximate value of what the op thought he was getting and what he actually got?
 
so outside of me proving everything else to be true on my end...im still a liar and chris never told me this dragons genetics on one of the several phone calls prior to me picking up these dragons from him in person...

I wouldn't say that concidering the seller has done very little to defend himself here. That has guilty written all over it. He is infact veiwing this thread now and has multiple times today and has not spoken up once.
 
value between a normal leather baby and a 100% dbl het leather baby would still be a good difference in price...how about the amount of value between a clutch full of hypo trans leather variations and a clutch of het leathers...that's a big difference

Don't get your panties in a wad. You posted the info you had now it's up to the readers to make up there own mind about the situation. I'm not ready to call either one of you a liar.
 
i wasnt getting "my panties in a wad" but the way you came off in what you wrote thats how i took it. like you were calling me a liar. i appreciate your input and taking your time to reply, so if thats how you feel then thats how you feel.

I learned something from this thread.

Not everyone's definition of "New in Box" is the same as mine.

I would be PI$$ED if I found out I bought a "New in Box" firearm with a "couple hundred" rounds through it. That would NOT make it NEW. That would make it USED.

Just sayin :thumbsup:
