Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sorry but I have to respectfully dissagree here. We have seen far to many failed attempts at trying to be polite with someone when they steal from someone. The only thing that this would likely acomplish is to make this guy think that he can stall even longer and not see the reprocutions for his actions. But we have seen people push and push and push until the offending party has realized the extent their actions have had on their name/business so they finally make it right. Many people have shown here that he does at least have the axo's and is still refusing to send them out polite time is over. He needs to own up and make it right. To the OP at this point I wouldn't even want any of his animals have you asked him just to send you cash for the value of the animals you sent him? Seeing that he has a store I am sure it wouldn't take him more than a day or two to come up with the cash.
 
He replied back after I asked why the critters did not show up. His response was he was waiting on my response. I just replied back were ready, and gave my address so he could not say he does not have it. I am still reluctant on receiving the animals, but at this point I am almost certain money would be out of the question for him.
 
Money back shouldn't be out of the question at this point, he's got a wanted ad for chameleons on kingsnake. If he doesn't have the animals, you need your money. It's that simple, failure to do one or the other proves he's just trying to screw you.

I think you are missing my point I am trying to make here. I'm not out to help Nate with anything. I couldn't care less about his business. I'm trying to help out Michael with some advise that would give him the high road, so-to-speak. All I know is it has helped me in the past, and that is what I would do if I were in his shoes. As far as Nate goes, I won't buy from him again after seeing this evidence, and I'm sure anyone else who's reading this feels the same way. I'm just glad I was able to get the DBTs in decent condition, and they are doing well. Good luck with your endeavors Mr. Mike.

Anthony you either have a funny way of thinking or difficulty in clearly stating your opinion. Not sure which.

Michael has already taken the high road. He has given Nate ample opportunity to make good. As you pointed out, since you obviously know him personally, Nate appears to be doing very well so the only conclusion one can make is that he is a scum bag. IMO there's nothing to be gained by giving Nate more time. He has clearly made his decision already. It's time to turn the screws not bait with honey.

I am sure that Anthony is not going to go broke over the loss but that's not the point. I believe he feels responsible for his friend also, like anyone would. Just because you can afford to loose the money, or animals, doesn't mean you should just take it. Try to rip of Microsoft and see how far you'll get, and last I checked they were doing okay.
 
I've done business with Nate a few years ago. What I bought were apparent LTC tokays in pristine condition. What arrived were tokays that were on deaths door. 2 out of the 3 survived the first 48 hours. The 2 remaining ones had to be tube fed for over a month to get them to eat on their own. That was my 1 and only experience with him. Although I received money as a refund I spent well over 200$ at the vet. I considered myself lucky that I got anything back from him.
I hope you get back what your owed. There's zero excuse for blatantly ripping people off.
 
Morgan funny you should say tokays if someone buys some captive bred tokays in the next few months they are probably from my groups since I sent some in part of that trade. I am glad I did not send him any morph tokays on this last shipment. We will see what he does for tuesday shipment arrival since his excuse was getting info from me. I sent everything he would need to ship that package to me even though he probably had tons of shipping boxes from me with the address plastered on it.

I admit I march to a different drum than most - probably why I like it here. Basically, all I have posted in this thread agrees with Michael's original assessment of 'nothing will probably come of it', so how is that so odd by your standards? I agree nothing will probably come from it, so write a final note to Nate and wish him well. It will be like piling hot coals on top of his head - trust me on this one. Michael might not get a refund from Nate either way, but he will gain it back in other ways. Don't ask me how exactly, but he will. His car may not break down when it probably should have a long time ago, or maybe something he was waiting to buy will suddenly be 50% off. Or maybe, just maybe, Nate will man up and make things right. The only way to find out is to be the big man in this case, and see what happens. At the very least, he will have a good outlook about himself. A good name is worth far more than riches.
 
Nate is sending me critters that should arrive tomorrow around noon I believe. If they arrive in good condition then I will consider this deal squashed. I still believe that he could've handled this way differently, and hope in his future dealings with other people his customer service is way better. I will keep all posted on how it goes tomorrow.

Critters arrived no worse for the wear. The male is a bit on the skinny side but should fatten up quickly. Deal is squashed but I hope other people really take a read before buying from nate.

Awesome that he finally paid up. I will be at the Portland Metro show tomorrow vending with a friend. I have done business in the past, and also was not happy. This guy expects you to give him good deals, but will not reciprocate the deals. He is someone I will not deal with anymore, and more and more here locally are feeling the same way.

Again, congrats on finally getting what you were told, and hopefully people will take notice of this thread and wont do business with him any longer.
