Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Now i did not know if i should put up a inquiry or a bad guy post about Charles, but figuring i have had nothing but trouble i figured bad guy...It started August 30,930pm. He called made a fairly low but acceptable offer on a pair of albino burms shipped to his address in nc, i agreed and he asked for a paypal request so i sent one as soon as i got off the phone. He said he gets paid the next day and what the latest he can send payment was, i said 12 noon, he asked if he could pay by 2, i said that is fine, i had to drop a package off anyways.
Well he asked a bunch of questions i answered all the best i could then August 31 came around 12oclock nothing...1oclock nothing...i called said im getting close to the shipping station, he said he couldnt pay...and said that paypal doesn't take prepaid debit cards, asked if there was any other way to pay i said not if you want me to ship now. I sent another request at 3:55pm as asked...still nothing. i suggested using a money order or check..he said he didn't trust them. I asked for his username on fauna and no answer TWICE so i can look up his information.
I decided to cut my loses, then september 2 he texted again asking for a third request to be sent. So i did, thats right THREE requests. He said he sent money and i never received it, i checked a few times thru the daytime,nothing. I tried calling him no answer,i tried texting no answer.
So Lesson learned never dealing with him again...said he paid for this pair of albino burms and never did,then no where to be found.

Think of the potential problems someone like this would/could cause if he DID send the money! Or you DID send the snake~ Oh gosh!

It really sucks when people waste your time, but it could be worse.

Where in that did he say he sent the money? It sounds to me as if he said he was going to send it but for whatever reason could not or changed his mind. If I put up a BAD GUY thread on every person that does that to me I would have dozens of them. I don't think it justifies a bad guy thread.

He texted me saying he sent the money. Kind of hard to send the money to a wrong request. But I have tried contacting him several times since and no answer. I'm just trying to give other users a heads up

Same here I don't want to sound like a dbag. Just very unhappy with the whole ordeal and there was no info on the guy. Figured I would be the first
 
THat's ridiculous.
BUT, there's no proof he said he would do it. :(


I've sent money to people when buying from them here.....in a very unusual way, but I have never had it stolen the way I do it!
 
Sounds like a lot of crying over nothing to me. Were you scammed in any way? Are you out any money because of this? No. Someone just wasted your time. It sounds like you may be a bit over-sensitive, honestly. This does not deserve a bad guy thread.

How do you figure ? If the guy is saying he sent the money and NEVER did, then he could be wanting the snakes or trying to get the OP to refund something never sent. I for one appreciate the heads up on crap like this.:thumbsup:

I agree with this. I can't understand how some people think it's no big deal to tell someone they sent money if they didn't. Thanks for the warning op.
 
Some people will do anything to make a dollar these days. I think Brenden had the right to make everyone aware of this guy. Potential scam, maybe window shopper, who knows but this will throw a flag up if this guy trys to buy something from you. In no way is he crying. To me hes looking out for his fellow sellers.
 
Brendon, what he did does not deserve a bad guy thread in my opinion. what he did is not uncommon with selling reptiles online.things like this happen more often then we all would like. my best advice is to never hold anything unless a paypal deposit is made immediately.the I will paypal you tomorrow or when I get paid almost never work out.

If there was a this guy was a pain in the butt thread, that would be more fitting than this bad guy thread.:thumbsup:

I think the point has been made enough times that ongoing debate over the OP's choice of deceptive labels (bad guy vs info, or whatever) is largely irrelevant to the thread. It isn't that people's opinions aren't appreciated, but it isn't as if the OP can go back and change the title if he caves to public opinion. I can understand feeling a need/desire to state one's disagreement with the label - or to defend the OP's choice - but once it's been said, it's been said. At that point, the OP (and other members that might be unsure about how to label their threads) can consider the those opinions for future threads...but to keep agreeing/disagreeing with a label that isn't going to change is beating a dead horse, and a waste of time and space. Send the guy a PM if you feel that strongly about it
 
I think that because the potential buyer said he HAD sent money when he has not, it's definitely a good thing to warn the general public. Saying "I'll pay when...." is so common that it's barely "mildly irritating" anymore. But if he is saying that he SENT money, I'd be telling him he needs to send you proof, before he starts saying that HE is being scammed.

There's a remote possibility he did somehow screw up and thinks he sent money when he didn't. There's way more of a probability that he never sent money but doesn't want to admit it.

Sorry you had the frustration. Hope you get your animals sold to someone who actually sends money and receives product rather than playing a bunch of games.
