Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Most breeders offer a health guarantee for a short amount of time, but the sex should be covered for as long as it takes. Not everyone can sex a snake, especially if it's small. If you sell something as a female, it should be a female. If the person can prove it's the same snake, there should not be an issue with refunding for the incorrect sex.

Actually, MOST breeders/wholesalers offer a sex guarantee only for a limited time. Most of them will tell you it is the buyers responsibility to sex the snake upon arrival. It should be common practice to remove the snake(s) from shipping container, visually check over to ensure there health, document all your notes, sex snake or have it sexed and take pictures of snake, container etc.

I'm not saying that I will not refund his money. If the snake in question is truly a male I will refund him for the whole purchase price plus shipping back to me. That is not the problem.

The problem is I have reason to believe that Dale does not even have the snake in his possession. He said that he shipped it to "a friend" and I have asked him at least 5 times if he has the snake. Every time he ignores my text. I even asked him on here about that situation and he has ignored that attempt also. I have all text messages to prove this. Only when I told Dale that I will be posting his text on here did he reply and say "I have control of the snake"??? I wasn't sure what he was trying to say so I asked specifically "Did you ship that snake to someone else and do you have it in your possession?" After that no reply???? AGAIN

After reading most breeders terms it seems every one of them offer the same return policy. If the customer is not happy with the animal they will refund the funds AFTER the snake is returned and is in healthy condition. Why should it be different here? And really who on here would refund the money if they had reason to think the guy doesn't even have the snake in his possession.

Um... take a look at your track record on here. That's what is different.

So your telling me that if you sold someone a snake and 2 months later they tell you its the wrong sex, they say they shipped to to a friend, they ignore your questions when you ask where the snake is and if it in there possession, there is no info on this person what so ever, there not on any forums or websites (not even a facebook), and the only forum they are on is this one which they joined a month ago you would refund the money no questions asked without the snake back in your hands?

I highly HIGHLY doubt it!

So since Dale is ignoring my texts I might as well ask on here...

Dale,

Did you send the snake off to a friend like you told me you did? If so why? Also do you have the snake back in your possession now? If you do can you prove (via FedEx tracking) that your friend sent it back to you? I sold you 3 other snakes, did you send them off to your friend also? Are the other 3 wrongly sexed or off weight?

I tried to ask you these questions over the phone but you ignored my every attempt.

Because there is info on you and because you are on all the different forums, we should trust you even if you lie about the origins of a snake and lie about its genetics. Got it

Your general analysis of me has no relevance to the question at hand. The above question simply asked if:

1. You sold someone a snake and 2 months later they tell you its the wrong sex
2. They say they shipped to to a friend but cant say why (Or perhaps he traded/sold the snake to this "friend")
3. They ignore your questions when you ask where the snake is and if it in there possession
4. There is no info on this person what so ever, there not on any forums or websites (not even a facebook)
5. The only forum they are on is this one which they joined a month ago

Would you refund the money no questions asked without the snake back in your hands?

Glad I could clear that up for you and sorry you couldn't fully understand the question.

You want me to answer the question at hand.
But yet, you yourself refused to answer why you were misrepresenting your non existent lemonblast, IMG, axanthic pin.
Everyone has to answer questions and not you. Got it

I will answer your questions.
1. I know how to sex the snakes. I would sex and resex before shipping.
2. My snakes would not lose over 20% of their weight withing a couple of weeks or less
3. I will have pictures of the snake in question so I will know if a bait and switch is attempted.
4. I have not been proven to be a lying scammer who lies about animals, therefore I get the luxury of having a snake shipped back to me before I refund.
5. If I sold an animal to someone, I would have their information in my hands.

Wait, are you saying you have no information? No name? No number? No address of the person you sent an animal to? WOW... send me some animals. I got monopoly money for you.

Its funny how the original question you are answer was not even directed at you. It was clearly directed at a specific person which is why I quoted them.

But while we are at it would you really buy a snake from someone you had no information on because that's pretty much what I will be doing.

All I simply ask Dale is can he prove (via FedEx tracking) that the pewter, which he said he shipped to another person, is back in is possession? If he can do that I will have peace of mind and send his refund asap!

Here is a screen shot of my phone with Dales number and him saying he sent the snake to someone else yesterday. Notice also he says "her"??? Not something big but I would think Dale would at least say "he" if he in fact knew the snake was male.

Here is a timeline for you
YOU directed a question to someone else.
I made a simple comment.
YOU then directed the question towards me and chastised me for not understanding and not answering a question originally intended for someone else.
I then answer your question which you have now directed at me
YOU then chastise me for answering a question that you directed at someone else then directed at me.
Make up your mind.

But while we are at it would you really buy a snake from someone you had no information on because that's pretty much what I will be doing.
I ask again, do you have his number? Do you have his name? Do you have his address?

I have bought plenty snakes from people who were members here and no where else.
I answered your question.

still waiting for an answer

Michael, he could have a friend breeding your animal, he could be doing a number of things but the point is...the mistake began on your end, and the mistakes started from the wrong animal, to the wrong weight, to finally a discovery of the wrong sex... unless you can prove that you sent the correct sex?

Time is of no meaning actually when it comes to sexing an animal. You sold it as a female. The pictures (unless they are Photoshopped) show a male and the patterns appear to be the same as the one that you sold to him, correct?

Since the mistake is on your end..so far, and there's no proof of any wrong-doing on your buyer's end (yet) you need to make it right. I understand where you are coming from, but the mistake STILL started from your end.

So far, imo, both of you are showing yourselves to be sellers to be avoided.

ONCE AGAIN! If Dale proves to me that the snake has been shipped back to him and is in his current possession I will refund his money prior to him sending me the snake.

In my last ad for that snake I clearly stated where he was bought and what I bought him as. Everyone that PMed me asking about that snake got the full story of where I bought it from. I have stated all this before and feel no need to keep repeating myself! You are asking questions that have already been asked and answered! If you read past post you will see that!

The focus right now is on the situation with Dale and I plan on keeping it that way until this matter is resolved!

So once again Dale can I get some proof that the snake was shipped back to you and is currently in your possession like you told me? This way I can get you your refund and you can ship the snake back Monday?

I understand where you are coming from. If you check the exif data on the second photo you will see the info is unavailable which was odd to me.

I posted that screen shot of the text message to show he sent the snake to another person before he mentioned to me it was wrongly sexed.

All I ask is for a FedEx tracking number showing the snake being shipped back to him which should be easy to come by if the snake really was shipped back to him like he said.

If he post a tracking number I will refund his money prior to him sending me the snake. I think this is fair???

How convenient. Actually my focus is usually on who the thread is about and all the participants therein.

But yet you claim you never misrepresented the snake. Then when shown proof that you did misrepresent the snake, you deleted it. Not only did you delete it once, you deleted it multiple times. You corrected the add only when you were exposed.

You say the focus is on Dale? Then why the need to review my trader ratings? (Whoops how did he know? :shrug01:)

You failed to understand my question.
Why were you misrepresenting your non existent lemonblast, IMG, axanthic pin? Yes I know you changed the add. But the question still stands. Why were you misrepresenting your non existent lemonblast, IMG, axanthic pin?

You KNOW what5 you bought it as. And you supposedly finally explained it to your customers. But why did you at first try and misrepresent the animal?

Michael,

Ball Python breeding is a hobby I started because of my children's interest in snakes and my own fascination with the genetics. However, I also have a family, I lead a small pharmaceutical company, I am a medical researcher and I am on the faculty at a prestigious university. This means that I have to compartmentalize my time to meet the many demands on my time. As a result, it is not possible for me to respond to each text and demand that you make the moment that you decide to reply to me.

The question here is not my integrity, the subject of this thread is that I purchased a 785 g pewter female and you shipped a 606 g pewter male. You have admitted to sending me a different snake than I purchased and all I ask is that you stop the banter and right this wrong.

As far as the snake, as I said in my texts and emails, I will ship him to you once I receive a refund. This is the bottom line. Beyond that, these interactions have become futile.

I look forward to receiving a refund from you and shipping back the pewter male. Until that time, he will remain well cared for in my home.

I guess I'm not most breeders then. If I sell something that is guaranteed to be female, I would refund even if it was a year later as long as I could see that it was the same animal. It would be my mistake to pay for.

My main point was that it should be a rule to have that checked upon arrival. An individual having that kind of guarantee is different than a breeder or wholesaler.
