In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Doc Walker, reptidoc, Dr. Daryl G. Walker = buyer beware

Rich Z hasnt been online for about 3 hours now. How can he be pming with you if he isnt online?? Plus, Rich Z not being online means it isnt coming any time soon.

I didnt take my stupid pills today. Darn it!

Well it might be through a different avenue. That is something I would think he wouldn't lie about, being as how Rich would definitely see it.

I just had a very helpful exchange with Rich Z today and believe I have figured out (Thanks to him) why this has been happening.
He said he would post his comments to me here on the thread for all to see.
I dont see it yet but I'm sure it will be on here soon.
In the past couple years, my collection has grown significantly partly due to purchasing many snakes from Rich when he was thinning out his collection before completely selling out of everything. I got excited about all he had and wanted to have a pair of everything I could. (The Fever got me I guess)
Although I did not double clutch any of my Females, I had several very large clutches (26-30 Eggs) which were the equivalence of 2 or 3 average clutches and therefore ended up with quite a few snakes to feed. A few animals Double Clutched without a second breeding which added insult to injury.
I divided up the Clutches into 7 groups of equal size so I could rotate them on a 7 day feeding schedule. That all seems perfect in theory but not every snake eats every time it is offered food. Ones that were 'Blue' on their day to feed missed their rotation until the next time around. Others that refused a Meal were in the same boat. I felt that if they ate the next time around that they would be no worse for wear and would be back on track, especially if they looked no different than the week before. Apparently that is not always the case. As Rich explained to me, an episode of that sort can compromise the snake internally even though it appears to be fine on the outside. The negative effects, if any, can surface weeks or even months later. I sent Him a response with much more detail on this that I am trying to paste on this thread here without much success so I am going to attempt to paste the 'Link' of the response here so it can be read by all and so I do not have to retype the entire thing. I was so worried about all the Major Possibilities that could have been causing these dilemmas that I stupidly didnt even think about what Rich brought to my attention which now makes perfect sense. I feel terrible that this oversite caused so many people grief but I am also relieved to know that the issue isnt disease related and that it can be prevented in the future. I know that doesnt change anything for those of you that lost snakes on your end but I just want people to know that there was no malicious intent in any of this.
Please read the info in the link below. It clears many things up for me. Hopefully it will be useful to you as well. Again I am So Sorry for all the Trouble I have caused.
I will continue to attempt to attach the physical text. Thank You.

Let me say I am glad you finally stepped up but it shouldn't have took Rich to make it happen that being said. SO this makes everything all better? The people you bashed and blamed saying it was all because they was new? That they were just incapable of taking care of snakes. Does this fix all the frustration and sorrow you caused because you coudln't admit you were actually the one doing something wrong? Just wow. Yeah snakes can be replaced monies sent back and all that. But the way things have went can never be taken back. Do you know what it is like to have to wash your hands with ammonia every time you handled one of your snakes for months? Do you know what it is like to worry you are losing every animal in your collection and can't find out why? Do you know what it is really like to doubt yourself and your abilities because your beloved animals keep dying and you are powerless to stop it? I had two from you live and an adult that I got from you and I gave them away, yeah was my decision to do it, but it should have never happened. This whole thing saddens me and makes me sick. Yeah I don't have a big name and if this is what it means to have one I really don't want one. I really hope it is going to take more than you coming on here trying to be all nice and apologetic before this ever goes away.

Rich did post earlier and Doc could of talked to him earlier! None the less, after all that has happened over the last year, I would think the remaining hatchlings should still be tested and for him not take the first scapegoat excuse that comes along. Underfed hatchlings could be a possible but I wouldnt rule out other things either!

Well it might be through a different avenue. That is something I would think he wouldn't lie about, being as how Rich would definitely see it.

I only say that because the 'link' he tried to profide was to His private message inbox here on Fauna. If I am wrong? I am sorry but not sure I am.

It is possible but why only now? After Rich Z suggested it? I smell a scape goat. Sorry.

I call bs.

:iagree:

this has been going on for at least 2 seasons, but he makes no effort to figure out what's going on till another BOI gets posted? How long would this keep going on if no one had had the courage to come forward? How many more people and snakes would have to suffer?

Stand up like a MAN fix the problem, you already knew problem came from your collection instead of blame on someone. We adult and don't need baby sis and you don't have to wait until Rick spoke to you about this problem DOC :(

I agree with you 110%
Too many GOOD people getting undo criticism from others when they do come forwards, making others afraid to do so! Too many poor animals have suffered undo sickness and death!

I still think the remaining hatchlings in his care should be TESTED!

I can not read the link provided, it is to his private messages!

That is exactly what I said Stephanie! that is why I called bs. Rich Z said malnurishment but hadnt Doc Walker heard from others, includeing myself, about how small the hatchlings were?? and for myself how mushy they felt? I have been breeding for 6 years and knew as soon as I held them something was wrong. How could he Not know?? How long has he been breeding to not know something like that??

My heart goes out to all that have lost the babies and to the poor snakes that went through something that is so horrific.

May question is... If the snakes are mushy and have not been fed properly... how long does it take for the snakes body to start eating its own muscles to become mushy?

I honestly dont have an answer for you on that. I have some non-feeders (second clutch) babies that have been refuseing for 3 weeks now and they are all still active and firm. I have never ever felt a snake that felt so mushy before in my life! and I have had corns for over 20 years. I have even worked in a couple pet shops and I just never seen the likes of these snakes. Its why I started to question Doc but never got an answer.

When I say mushy, what I mean is if you picked up a worm outside from a rain puddle who had been there awhile... that is kinda how they felt.

Wow! Hurts my heart to think of what those poor babies went through! I thank you for your courage of coming forwards Dee, Bob, Calvin and all the others! I have said my two cents which really isnt all that much!

It actually means a lot! I think every pair of eyes that sees this and remembers what has and is happening and can maybe warn even 1 person.... Its all worth it :)

I have to admit that After what Josh (cant remember his last name) went through with his thread about Doc Walker.... I was simply terrified to come here! But with one very dear man (bob brown) helping me kinda through all this... gave me the courage to try. I am honored to now call him my friend :) So, Some good did come of this tragity! :)

Till now he still put blame on us instead of fix problem, before resale them. Our hard working money gone to the wind and our hobby how we care for them like our kids????get nothing respond from breeder if he already test all his collection and find out WHY end up like this??? Until Rick spoke and he said will do it???? sound like we just little kids and get fooling around;(

I know I'm jumping in a bit late, but I figured I'd share my story as well. I received a 2.0 pair from Doc that I won in the same drawing that Dee won hers from. My initial 2 snakes arrived on the 8th. One of the snakes was very lethargic, the other was showing response to when I moved and when I touched him. Both were "mushy" feeling as Dee put it. Within 12-24hrs the lethargic snake was dead. I talked to Doc and sent him pictures at which point he offered to send me another snake to replace the one that passed away along with a female at his shipping cost. The replacements arrived on the 10th looking healthier and more active than the first shipment, but still felt "mushy". I checked on them daily, and found that the replacement male had passed away on the 14th during the early hours of the morning. I once again emailed Doc and let him know what happened.
