    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Saw those photos and the ad right after they were posted. Its clearly obvious the pics are all altered and jacked up. Really ppl a purple barred ambilobe? And from an unknown person? The only purple barred ambi in the country is Jims Hyperion. An hes a full red bodied ambi w/purple bars. And hyperions' bars dont glow off the page. You gotta look at the ads closely and if its too good to be true then it is.
 
This guy contacted me once about selling him a 60 lot of veileds once and will have to say he was very poor in communication and knowledge of the business. Basically he kept saying he was going to paypal me and never did, also never returned any phone calls. I can't say anything about his character but I would give him a few more days perhaps before filing a police report to respond and take this as a hard lesson learned. Good luck, I hope you get your cham or money returned.

just so you know i have a purple bar amilobe he is bright green with nice purple bars. if you ever wanna see a picture let me know :)

It's not JUST that this animal has purple bars, it's that a) his bars are way, way darker than any of the animals in his line -- they lean towards a clean blue and b) the color in the photo is so off that the stick appears black with magenta highlights, which is clearly not right.
 
hey Lauren your not far from me at all, you should go to hamburg reptile show little over a hour drive for me so add another 20 or 30 mins for you. they have lots and lots of crazy stuff. its not a given you will find what your looking for but you never know. I go and take the kids even tho I'm not going to buy anything just a fun day out. sorry about what happen that really sucks and the sad part is 99% of us reptile people are good people it's the 1% that screw it up for everyone. good luck in the future

That's what I was wondering too. I don't know what good a promise to send a receipt later is. There is no way to prove any money ever changed hands now. I do appreciate the warning though.
 
He finally got back to me after I threatened a police report and said the cham would be ready this up coming weekend. I expressed my concerns in regard to not having received a receipt and he hasn't responded to that. However he did eventually respond to say the cham would go home this weekend....we'll see. I'm hoping to come out of this with a hard lesson learned and a chameleon.
 
If the add is still up I say ,have some else respond to it and stomp the proverbial mudhole in his rectum. LOL No actually have some one else respond to the add and take pictures of him the car and send the pics straight to the police.
There was a guy from long island that did that when the ball python thing was all the rage And he went from predator to prey when he tried to scam the wrong woman . She had her boyfriend wait in the parking lot of the dunkin donuts before the meeting time in case something went wrong .
The dude tried to pull a fast one and her bf jumped in and held him til the cops showed . Turned out the dude was going to rob her and take her money .And she took a picture of his car and of him ,he flipped out on her .It seems this guy was doing the same thing in different places all over the county. And being it was an election year he dude got his butt kicked and arrested to boot .
 
Does anyone know if it is it possible to delete this thread? The seller finally sent me a receipt and requested that I remove the thread.
 
If you recieve the chamelion in good condition and it looks like the pictures I don't think this thread will hurt him. Please take a pic and post it here when/if you recieve it.

Lauren,
You trusted the guy with your cash, he did not communicate when he said he would, and he did not send you a receipt when he said he would.
Finally after a lot of fuss he sends a receipt, but you still have no chameleon, and you were willing to take down the thread at his request (which you can't do).
Until you have a healthy chameleon in hand, I wouldn't so willing to do his bidding.

Lauren did not say anything about the seller apologizing for phone trouble, or computer trouble, or anything of that nature. What she said is that in order to get to communicate with a seller to whom she had given a substantial amount of cash, she had to threaten police action.
Does that sound like the kind of seller one wants to do business with?
 
I would NOT apologize OP. He was clearly not thinking of his customer and would have certainly kept the money had you not threatened LEO action against him. Let him learn from this mistake and improve his business practices so this doesnt happen in the future. I hope all works out for you in the future and let this be a lesson to you and everyone that cash should never be paid for an animal(Or item) that is not delivered immediately upon tendering payment.
 
I am also interested to see pics of the chameleon when you get him. If he doesnt look like the photos in the ad(which he wont because it is edited) I would ask for a full refund.

Has nobody else noticed those are the EXACT SAME chameleons (one is obviously color/pattern edited)???

*Not from the same picture, but their body shape/symmetry is exactly the same. It's just in a different pose.
