    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Paul Moyer of Monster Reptiles in PA

I'm a little late on the topic but I feel I should put this out there... He posted the unedited video on mutiple fb groups. When I explained that if Jesus had no clue the snake was going to die, then how could Paul, therefor why should he be responsible? Keep in mind I am 16 and my profile picture clearly shows I am not an adult, and I wasn't being rude, just stating a fact. He immediately came back with profanity and threats to "smack the s*** out of me". My dad was standing near me as he is into reptiles himself. Of course like any good parent would he defended me through my account. Jesus offered to pay for my dad to come out to Philly to fight him, and threatened that "I guarantee you will not leave" and that his son was going to fight me. Clearly this guy is violent and should not be taken seriously at all.

Quite simply, because his brother is still banned from this site for his past behavior here.
I have very mixed feelings about Angel posting FOR Jesus - which I'm sure comes as no surprise. However, if Angel is an affected party, it is harder to justify disallowing the thread as long as Jesus has been identified as the person directly involved. I'm fairly certain, though, that there is no proof Angel's involvement - other than him taking up the torch here - so readers will have to come to their own conclusions about that aspect of things.

In the video he Jesus also mentions protecting his sisters as the only man in the house. But wait isn't Angel his brother? Or is he the same person? Hmmmm. Did this transaction initiate on this site?

It is hard to take his side when the only fact he can prove is the retic is dead. In order to decide in his favor he must do what has been said many times. NECROPSY!!!!!

point is, who killed the snake or why did it die.

One person states he can not get the test done.

If he can show where he's called and been rejected then the opposing party needs to step up and provide a place the test can be done. If neither party can find a place that can do the test, then asking for the test is unreasonable.

If I were in these shoes, I would not hestitate to have the test done. HOWEVER, if the test shows the seller was responsible, I would expect the cost of the test to be covered by that person on top of a refund.

If he was complained it was too far to drive, I would not be sympathetic. He can not find someone do fullfill the request.

Paul, find a place YOU trust who will perform the test and then its on the buyer to get it done. I wouldn't want some random vet I didn't know or trust doing the test anyway.
 
Unfortunately, Angel will be unable to particate for some time. We do not tolerate the use of the site's messaging systems to send abusive messages to other members. Please note that this is not a judgement on the merit of his posted complaint - people will have to figure that situation out for themselves.
 
The seller made a reasonable offer and I for one would do business with him.

I would not do business with Angel or his brother.

How is there ANY onus on the original owner to go out of his way to help someone that has been shown to have a history of questionable behavior and who has threatened him with the possibility of bodily harm? At worst, this sounds like a case of someone rolling the dice ('Angel/Jesus'), and coming out on the losing end.

Let's play devil's advocate, and assume that you're right about the pest strip killing the retic. You clearly state you had previous knowledge regarding the potential dangers of using the pest strips, so why go through with the deal?? Seems like a clear case of you taking a calculated risk that didn't go your way. Who in their right mind would accept a trade THAT THEY'VE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXAMINE IN PERSON, when what they can plainly see suggests it's been exposed to poison?

And then putting said poisoned snake right into the room with the rest of their collection. If the vapors from the active chemicals in the pest strip are harmful, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to expose your other animals to it. Just doesn't seem like a scenario that shows the use of much common sense, to me.

But even the most decent of us are not obligated or expected to make efforts to exonerate those who hurt us.

If your utopian view had any basis in reality, there'd be no need for the BOI to begin with. Past actions mean a great deal among those of us that place value on using context clues to form an opinion. How much smoke do you need to see before conceding that certain people just seem to drag fire along with them wherever they go.

Either way, here in the real world, I don't believe someone should be expected to jump through hoops to prove their own innocense. Doesn't the burden of proof generally fall on the accuser? Their contention that the pest strip killed the snake doesn't seem to have swayed many people here, and since somehow NO ONE in this state is willing to do a necropsy, I think that burden neither has been, nor is likely to be met.
 
I found someone to do the Necropsy it took all but 5 minutes. The Bolton Center will do it. The are part of UPenn and are in Kennett Square PA. I spoke with Dave. 610-444-5800. I am posting this for anyone who really cares about their collection and isn't trying to scam anyone.
