I guess Charles doesn't break the speed limit.

My point is, so she doesn't have her permits. It is a calculated risk that she is taking just like when you drive over posted speed limit. If she gets caught she will pay the fine. Let fwc investigate and catch her not you. Just like it's the polices job to catch speeders not yours

Your right people do this all the time and it is not my job to control the situation just like peoplk speed all the time and it is no big deal....Until someone is speeding and hits your child then the speeding becomes relavant and you surely would bring up the fact that they were speeding at that point. If she was not in the middle of a bad deal with no permit she would have slid under the radar.

As far as I'm concerned, yes the permit issue is a problem, because again, it sheds a bad light on everyone in the reptile community, not just the person doing wrong. It just proves what all the bad guys out there trying to take away our rights are saying about us all being criminals that are willing to break the law and do "dangerous" things.

As far as the rest of this situation I have this to say. Charles, let it go. You tried to initiate a trade deal many times and were met with an answer of no. They did not want the exact trade you were offering and would come back with a counter offer that you would then refuse because you wanted it to go your way. They had no interest in all of what you were offering, only the single female hog island. And it seems once you didn't get your way you went on a rampage turning this whole thing into a circus over absolutely nothing. Going so far as to communicate with the other people making a deal with her behind the scenes just to claim some sort of fraud. I mean really, how hard is it for you to find someone else to obtain the same or similar snakes from?

And when it comes to the whole "Well they had a deal with me first and then went behind my back up until the last minute!" BS, sorry but no, that is not how this works as a seller or buyer. As a seller it is pretty much the rule rather than the exception that you will be talking about making a deal on a particular reptile with up to dozens of people, all at the same time. The thing is, the deal isn't made until cash or trade changes hands, plain and simple. If we as sellers were to tell every person inquiring on our animals "Sorry I have one guy emailing me right now saying he is interested so I can't deal with you even though it's not sold yet" then we'd never sell a dang thing.

If you honestly wanted the deal that bad then you had every chance to try to get there first and come to a mutually beneficial agreement. But because you were so stubborn in only wanting to trade one specific thing that you were turned down on many times, you missed out. That is no one's fault but your own.

So to summarize for everyone, don't whine like a child if you miss out on a deal that you were speaking with a seller about because chances are you are far from the only other person trying to make a deal with them, and if your money or items don't get there first you have no claim to the purchase.

I agree for the most part. They did keep telling me we were meeting to make a deal and had me on a string waiting though. Still like you said not a huge deal. It became a bigger and bigger deal as it went. I was only slightly put out at that point. You are correct. I only continued to bring it up because she said it never happend and did not post the messages showing we did but posted every other message. Certainly dont feel like I missed out. There are many quality animals on the market. And I already have some nice ones.

I agree. And its not what got the thing posted on the FBI page. It was for getting a refund for the male that was sold female and the thin snake. They refused refund. Nobody here wanted to go public. They made it very clear they would give no refund. All the nic nac stuff is coming out in the mud slinging that followed. Like her posting this thread here.

Oh no I agree it was not polite... still very satisfying. But still he was sited for being out of line and you say nothing to him. You are searching for ammo. Whatever....the girls are crooks. Jessica got what she was looking for today. Some great healthy snakes I must say. Got me a few of them also. What a difference! I learned a huge lesson here. I will never attempt to deal with a flipper for a deal again after seeing what they actually may try and dump on you. I still feel sorry for the animals. They are the ones hurt in this whole deal. Posted is the evaluation done by a certificated herp vet yesterday 11/30/12. When explaining to Dr. Rossi Charles Looney's claims of "anorexia" "on death's door" and "animal cruelty" he looked at me bewildered and said he could not find one reason for anyone to believe that, asked if Charles had eyes. He said the bump looked like a past injury that has completely healed awhile ago and doesn't seem to affect her.

I still feel sorry for the animals. They are the ones hurt in this whole deal. I can walk to the fridge as the rest of you. They cant. I know an underfed snake when I see it. r.

Quotes like this are exactly why I felt the need to take her to the vet to prove to everyone without a doubt that my snakes are healthy. I really have learned a lot throughout this whole situation and do see the areas that need improvement. I honestly cannot believe the way this thread has turned out, but I guess I shouldn't be so naive when it comes to Charles.

I think this thread has turned out well in terms of evaluating each of the parties involved, in different ways. Each side has had an opportunity to learn and change.
If I had to pick out the ideal vendor, he or she would be honest, courteous, kind, concerned, and learn from their errors.

Maybe it's just me, but I would never do business with someone who admitted in writing that they derived satisfaction from particularly nasty insults to others.
