Sorry I meant Erica's not Eric's.
yes the money was used to pay the electric bill right know too keep them warm. the iguana is going to the vet later this week. again if you want to talk to me call me at 520-256-7747 and we can talk about my rescue.
I'm glad this is going to be properly addressed. Thank you everyone who saw through the high emotion and drama and took action so these animals can have a hope at a healthier life. I believe there are many ways to successfully house and care for collections of reptiles as pets, rescues or even inventory. These animals do take time and care, most of which isn't as glamorous as our Facebook pages make it out to be.

I rarely post, David.
But in response to your line- "I LOVE HOW PEOPLE TAKE VIDEO OR PICTURES BEFORE THE CLEANING GETS DONE AND THINK THAT IT IS DONE."
The filth and muck build up in the pen you keep those tortoises in DOES NOT manage to accumulate over two days or even a week. If you were keeping up these tortoise pens the way you claim, then the vegetation would not be rotten and slimy. Not to mention how dangerous those twist ties and rubber bands can potentially be to your captives.
You should not be taking in animals that you do not have the means to care for properly. That seems like common sense. When you take an animal in, you become responsible for that beings quality of life. If you cannot afford (in either time OR money) to give that being the life it deserves, then do not take it in.
I'm not saying you're a bad person. You obviously care about these creatures. But it seems you have far more on your plate than you can handle. I have to side with the other members on here saying that you should give the animals that you can't care for adequately to people who can.
Perhaps start by selling the tanks and cages that you are not using.
Then adopt out/ give away the animals that you don't seem to be able to afford to house and feed properly.
I can tell that you want to do good by your animals, but again- don't keep animals that you cannot give a good quality of life to.
I LOVE HOW PEOPLE TAKE VIDEO OR PICTURES BEFORE THE CLEANING GETS DONE AND THINK THAT IT IS DONE.
ALSO THEY DO NOT STAY AROUND TO HELP WITH THE FULL CLEAN AND FEED.
YOU are the one who took these animals in and took responsibility for them. If YOU could not care for them yourself, you should not have taken them. Volunteers are great, but you cannot rely on them to do all your work for you. If the work is not done, it is on YOU, not them, to pick up the slack and finish the job.
IF YOU PEOPLE WHAT TO HELP WITH LIGHT BULBS, THAT YOU THINK I NEED, DONATE THEM TO US, ALSO IF YOU THINK THE REPTILES NEED TO BE SEEN MORE THEN WHEN THEY ARE CHECKED BY A VET WHEN I GET THEM, DONATE TO ORANGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL UNDER D & M'S REPTILE RESCUE. THE IGUANA WITH THE JAW PROBLEM IS GOING IN THIS SATURDAY. IF ANY OF YOU HAVE QUESTION ABOUT MY RESCUE SERVICE PLEASE CALL ME AT 256-7747 AND WE CAN TALK. THANK YOU DAVID
I got the same blanket email from pacc after I gave a strong email asking why conditions were ok
Doesn't seem like a blanket, blow-off email to me. They plan to return with someone qualified, sounds like they're hoping to build a case to seize the animals and press charges that will actually hold up in front of a judge. Otherwise, they'll have wasted their scarce resources just to have the animals bounce back to D&M to die.

its my fault for not explaining what i ment by blanket and I do apologize, by that i ment they are giving everyone the same email even though we ask questions in it. They ignore and have sent me the exact email. I dont even know if they even read our mails to them, they just see the subject and throw that email back, maybe they really are doing something but I have been so disgusted with their lack of response time and the inability to get in touch with a supervisor even when they transfer me over. I always get either a full mailbox or no one there and no one will return my call.![]()
Wow, this just got really strange....as if it weren't already. This was just posted on ssnakes.com.
Hi, there, I saw this on Tumblr, I'm from Denver, and I even went out of my way to call this rescue. Mind you, I didn't go in guns a'blazing but I did ask how their animals are being treated. I believe I was on the phone with Melanie Shroyer, who assured me these pictures are not of their animals. Now, I am no way defending her, but I feel like I should post this because that's what she told me. Basically, her gist was they don't know the original poster and had confirmed they have received calls and emails about these pictures, and people come and go to check out their animals.
