Yes, this has everything to do with the forum community no getting their way and absolutely nothing to do with any bad dealings by Dart Frog Wharehouse. There is no evidence they have sold sick frogs, delivered wrong frogs, or taken people's money. As a matter of fact, a member of DB posted about his positive experience buying from DFW and was immediately attacked.
While I do not agree with the made up names, or the cross breeds, I do support their right to do so. I think we have enough cool natural frogs that we don't need crossbreeds, and the made up names confuse things. But, to each their own.
I think the marketing, regardless of how strange brings more attention to the hobby which benefits everyone. Most hobbyists keep several species. DFW only sells a handful. Therefore, they will have to buy their other frogs from other sources.
And, while I believe DFW is indeed selling alot of frogs, they have a very limited customer base due to a limited selection of species. Unless they expand their business and start to breed alot more of the species available including pumilio and thumbnails, they will run out of customers.
