Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Horrible experience with snakes at sunset

Di Pan, you don't seem to understand the reptile business and how it is operated, especially in a retail setting as in the case of Snakes at Sunset.

Point One - Not many (if any) breeders ship on Thursday.

Point Two - When placing an order online, it is normal for the process to take up to 5 BUSINESS days for the animal to ship.

Point Three - When a "customer" bombards you with message after message, the desire to deal with them leaves. (not saying that this is what has happened)

Point Four - IT IS A PET STORE! Retail stores have set hours, and respond to emails/messages during BUSINESS HOURS. 9-11 PM is NOT business hours.
 
Their phone # is (305) 270-0254 and they open at noon tomorrow. I'd give them a call tomorrow and be pleasant. I doubt they are trying to rip you off. If you decide to go through with the purchase I'm sure your friend would be fine with a photo and a note that it's on the way. I agree that they should have responded by now but you came off as pretty demanding from the start. The phrase "poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part" comes to mind.
 
@Pasodama @Dennis Hultman @weird_science04 I dont know what you guys thinking about. But I think it is NOT that difficult to just tell me if they CAN or CANNOT ship them by thursday. The fact is, I didnt hear anything from them till now.

I am just wondering why I didnt get any reply?

First of all, you are dealing with a live animal. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the weather or other circumstances may not be right for shipping? If you needed the animal by the weekend, you should have planned ahead or paid a probable higher price for a less than stellar animal from your local pet store. If you really needed to talk to someone there, a quick google search would have given you the phone number to the business.
But the weather is fine and no other any circumstance is not right for shipping. If there is, at least they need to tell me why they cannot ship the animal. And following is the Shipping & Returns on their website: Our shipping days are Monday- Thursday. Orders placed before 2pm usually get shipped the same day .
Orders placed after 2pm, get shipped the following day.

It is wrong, because you wanted PICTURES to chose from. If someone asks me for pictures, I tell them it may take a day or two before I can take them.

Their business hour is 11-4 doesnt mean I have to send e-mail during 11-4. They can reply to me during business hours I have no problem with that, but they didnt!

Did you see the message I sent to them on Thursday morning? I said I dont want the pics anymore, I want them to just ship the reptile on Thursday.
And the KEY POINT is, I am not angry because they did not ship the animal on time, I am angry because there is no communcation!! They didnt say they can and didnt say they cannot either.

According to the messages you inquired close to five on Wednesday evening.
That's pretty close to the end of day for most people.

You then followed with emails demanding pictures first.

When they came in the following day (Thursday) according to your own messages that you posted they responded with "will take pictures this weekend and send out Monday". You then emailed them repeatedly back.
Every half hour for awhile.

So you didn't simply order the animal off the website. You made a additional request and they responded with a time frame.

Besides the messages you posted there was more. The first message you posted stated was "did you get my messages and emails". Who knows how many others you sent on their system. That's not even including the emails that you state you sent.

After that simple sentence.

You have stated over and over that they never contacted you before today. Now, it is well except for that simple sentence. So where is the communication from today? Why didn't you post it?

I don't about their business, don't really care either ... just because they say they can ship on Thursday, doesn't mean it is wise.
You are also forgetting your request for PICTURES which can take time, as retail stores can be busy and no one is going to drop what they are doing to take pictures.

They are popular breeders, like we have all said time and time again, they. Are. Busy. Swamped with emails and orders, they have to clean cages, feed snakes, prepare reptile food, spray cages, etc. There's a ton of stuff to do, and you are not number one on the wait list. Who knows, they could be ignoring you because you are annoying. No, it may not be very good customer service to do so, but they are employees. Not slaves. So quit acting like you are a priority and like you are above them. You need to be patient, kind, and easy going. Or else they can and will refuse you business. Your emails could also be ending up with the spam folder. You have also not told us what they replied. So either leave this thread and let it die, or do the mature thing and send an apology email, act calmly and politely, and quit trying to be right and acting like a brat. Thanks.

If they are that busy, why dont they just not simply hire more people? and I did nothing wrong to mention that the communication is bad, and I dont care what cause that .
 
Junranpd, I feel your pain, brother. My advice, slow down. A lot. You haven't had a bad experience. Life doesn't move as fast as you can punch computer keys. You haven't been robbed. You haven't been disrespected. It's a nice thing to get your friend a rhino iguana. Put it in a lower gear, give mike enough time to get this done. I don't know mike, but I don't doubt for a second this can end well. Slow down. Let it happen. Don't assume the worst. As important as this is, it's one of many daily transactions mike has to nail down and execute. These things are complicated and time consuming. Hope it goes well.

I check my emails, once or twice a day and respond then. I am not monitoring my email every second to see if I have gotten another message, unless I am expecting a response to a question.

In their defense, they answered your first questions about pictures and shipping & figured that was the end of it till the weekend, when they were to send you pictures ... FYI, Sunday is still part of the weekend.

The reptile trade is not a popularity contest. I have seen many popular helpers exposed as frauds over the years. As far as having a "ton of stuff to do", they have no more work load than most people in the industry who strive to keep their customers happy and still find time to keep communication with paying customers open. That's where managerial skills come in handy. Whether the OP is right or wrong, I would not do business with said company.

But they seems check emails once or twice a week!After they told me that they gonna send me pics this weekends and ship on Monday and asked me if this works for me, I tried to explain my situation and why it doesnt work for me. I just want an answer if they can send me pics and ship the reptile on Thursday. They didnt say anything. Thats the KEY POINT
