In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think that as a buyer when you actually meet and have the opportunity to inspect a critter you should do so and if you waive that opportunity, if significant time has gone by, it is more difficult to say exactly when an injury occurred, especially when there is a kink free photo from the seller. I agree with Joel that if a seller would not allow inspection I would not buy, but it does not appear that the buyer asked to inspect and the seller refused.
In addition, if I got a new critter I would not leave it cooped up in a deli cup while I went shopping for hours and then for even more time when I got home, but this buyer says she went shopping, got home and chose to eat dinner prior to taking care of the critter and looking at it. I just do not think that is appropriate care for a young critter.

Why would you leave them in deli cups? The first thing I do after receiving an animal is bringing it home immediately.This situation seems at this point to be a 'he said, she said' because there is no definitive proof of when the alleged tail injury occurred.
On the one hand there is a seller who has posted pictures of an unkinked tail. And even though he says he dropped it off flawless he has offered to exchange the critter for a $200 credit toward his available critters.
On the other hand there is a buyer who waived the right to examine the delivered critter, went shopping, ate dinner, all before attending to the needs of the new critter. After all that time, allegedly finds the kinked tail and attributes it to the seller.
She makes further accusations against the seller 'false advertising' of other animals in the initial post but has not brought proof here.
In a case like this, one has to look at the details, and choose what they are going to believe.

Why the heck would you not go immediately home and get the geckos settled, and then finish your errands? Especially since they were picked up, and not shipped. You should have done that FIRST and then worried about your errands. Oh and then you had to eat dinner, but don't worry about the animals still being in the deli cups...
For all anyone else knows, YOU not taking the animals out of the deli cups and getting them settled is what caused his tail to kink. As for the weight, you can say any animal is "RTB" or "Almost RTB" If the person thinks that they're close to breeding weight, then they can say that. It's along the same lines of someone saying that a hatchling is almost a juvenile, because technically they are...after a bit of time. It's in how you interpret what is said.
If you couldn't be bothered to assess the animals before doing your errands, then I fail to see how this is the seller's fault. Did you even ask him for weights of the animals BEFORE purchase? Or did you just go off of terms he used? You said you're very new to geckos, but you didn't bother looking at them when you were handed them. And NOW you want to gripe about it?
Seems to me that you (OP) were very irresponsible in the way that you decided to handle the transaction after being handed the animals, and you're trying to shove all blame for anything that might or might not be wrong with the animals onto the seller instead of taking some of the responsibility on yourself as well.
Does anyone have the information from the original ad? That might clear up some of the inconsistencies in the he-said/she-said.

Also s someone who keeps Rhacs. I don't see any tail kink in the photos that were posted...I'd enjoy to see additional photos from the OP addressing the tail kink they see.
As of right now, I am siding towards Apex because of their willingness to offer an exchange for the animal because everything else is he said-she said

I saw those but I'd like to see additional photos because tail kink photos posted are those of the tail, no where else on the gecko. Just for a comparison between the gecko that was originally posted for sale and what the OP has in her possession.

Yes it does, the second photo in the post shows the whole gecko! The others are close ups of the tail.

You DON'T know for sure that it was there when it was picked up.
Again, you cannot state that the kink was there when you received the gecko, by your own words you left them in a vehicle in their deli cups for over two hours while you did your errands, before even inspecting them.
I think the seller is being very generous and trusting ... I would not refund you any money or exchange the crestie for another. It is very possible your actions caused the kink and not those of the seller.
Whether the gecko is ready to breed or not is not a concern of mine, the terms are highly interpretational, based on each individuals beliefs. As you have shown no proof that you asked weights before purchasing, then that is your error.

Yea Apex decided to do the $200 credit AFTER the fact that I posted this transaction to the BOI, AFTER being rude to me through text.
I just asked him for a partial refund, I would have been happy to give the gecko back if he would have said so, but no he had to respond rudely.
Honestly, I am over it. I'm keeping the animals and if I wanted to, I could sell them to someone else. No need to respond anymore. It's over and done with and everyone keeps saying the same thing over and over. It's DONE.

They won't give any info over the phone and the only vet that specializes in exotics was closed.

I'm One the geckos isn't debydrated. Someone brought it to my attention and it was fine. The gecko also doesn't have fts I can post a picture later of it. I'm not sure what the other geckos have to do with this post? And you also didn't post what you said to me which was extremely rude and I took personal, hence why I popped off.
I think it should not be deleted, it certainly shows something about you. You did not think enough of this critter to bring it straight home. You made it sit in a deli cup while you ate dinner. And after you (allegedly) discovered an injury, you tried to get money out of the seller, but made no calls for professional advice on how to treat the injury.
Realistically, a vet will not be able to do anything for the kink unless there is necrotic tissue damage, but the other points do well apply.
Since Brittany has elected to repeatedly ignore the specific question on the animal's feeding response, I will assume it has been eating just fine. So the growth stunting "concern" is irrelevant for this particular gecko. A little seminal discharge will not hamper growth if food consumption is maintained. Over a billion teenage human boys would probably agree. lol
Still he-said/she-said on what might be damage or defect in terms of the timeline, but people sure can observe how different people conducted themselves on this discussion thread.
