    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't think Tommy is a bad guy here, he seems extremely even-tempered about the entire ordeal and wants to still uphold his end of the bargain. That's a lot more than many sellers would offer after having a bad guy posted about them.

Honestly, I'm simply baffled about what it is that set her off. Perhaps she decided she'd rather have the cash cow of baby snakes? I don't get it. :shrug01:

she has full intensions on breeding and has asked for my male to breed with her female next year and breeds livestock. although she can be considered a newbie to garters, she is not a newbie to the breeding world. she has been asking about garters for 2 years now and has been a member of a few garter related groups. imo 2 years is more than enough time to research one species. i researched for 7 months then kept for a year before i bred. i havent been breeding 3 years yet.
she has messaged a few of my garter buddies trying to sell the babies. they didnt buy them since they dont know her and she messaged them out of nowhere. she had the same style of messageing and was all over the place with topics and bashed me in the process. reffering to me as "MR. Hamilton". at first my buddies didnt know who she was talking about until today when they seen this post.

the "cash cow of baby snakes" have a lower market price then the ones im trading her. most of the babies are yellow pugets and a few are blue. i should know i did the pairing....i just want to do this deal and be done with it lol

You should probably have your friends post that info (you might get dinged here for "third party quotes"). It would be good to have them post just so future buyers/sellers can see the full extent of her behavior. I wouldn't want to do business with someone who flies off the rails the way she did, and then potentially badmouths the person she did business with. Who's to say she won't do it again?

It may not have been a solid trade agreement to send 10, but the whole "lah di dah I can change my mind any time I want to" would also be a red flag. That kind of wish-washy attitude is sorely off-putting. It's not much different than when I message a seller and propose a short term payment agreement, and then go back on my word. Do what you say, or don't make the offer.

She could have potentially held you up being able to make a sale on a neo you intended to trade her, for her to just go "well, nevermind, I want to keep them all." It just really rubs me wrong.

I don't know a whole lot about garters, I've only done rudimentary research on them so far (the ones I want are a little expensive, so I have plenty more time to work out the details) so I wasn't sure the total value of the trade. Still seems a bit odd, then? I'd certainly prefer to trade lesser for greater in that instance :shrug01:

And if she does intend to breed and sell, but is claiming not while wanting sellers to reduce price for her, that's an entirely other kind of shady I wouldn't want to be involved in.
 
This is just so my post doesn't come across as unfounded. It was actually one post where she claimed to only be a "pet person" and asked for a "slight reduction" from the seller. The other post I was thinking of was actually her wanting a seller to break up a group because she was "pet person."

While that kind of request isn't necessarily wrong in and of itself, it's the claim of being a pet owner only- when it seems she does actually intend to breed/sell- that makes it a problem and potentially misleading, if not an outright lie.

So this is just here as an informational post, which may provide insight into her as a buyer that some might find informative and worthwhile knowing before conducting business with her.

So far from what I've seen, I would not hesitate to buy from Tommy, and I would avoid any dealings with the OP.

In one of the screenshots (prior to her getting PO'd at Tom) she mentions how nice it is for things to go right for her, because she's gotten "cheated" so many times with cattle (I think? I don't feel like re reading it all but that was the gist). In light of this thread, she seems like the chronic victim type, who creates her own drama in her own head, and reacts to that. As opposed to just saying "Hey Tom, I don't want to ship any more of these, how about we do something else?". Now Tom is a bad guy and she's been "wronged" again.

Maybe I shouldn't generalize, but that's how she comes across.

i was unaware she wasnt happy with what we were doing until she screamed rape haha i have been sending her messages on facebook now that i can again and she has not responded. i also found a 2nd facebook of hers while trying to figure out why i couldnt message the first time..
 
I've come to a similar conclusion as most here, I would buy from Tommy. I wish the OP the best but I say this not to be a wise #$% but because you really need to get a grip before putting people on blast.
 
If the males of whatever species she wanted as "pet only" cost more than females she lied and contradicted herself in the same sentence. If I recall correctly male garters of some species and or morphs cost more than females in many more instances than with other species.

myself and others sell males and females for the same price. but i do know of at least one person who prices females higher than males. i value males more than females but dont price them higher.
 
i finally received a response from her through facebook messager. i will post screenshots once we are finished with our conversation.
 
i never knew you could look up all the posts by the person. she has tried to buy 17 animals ranging from geckos to balls and even a breeding group....

Are you negotiating what to send for the six snakes that she already shipped you, or is her sending the other four snakes still on the table and you're taking it from there?

Re-reading the texts, at the point where you guys were deciding to trade for cocinnus, she says something like "I feel like a kidnapper handing over ransom." I think that was a red flag that she wasn't 100% on board for the deal, but it was kind of easy to overlook considering the way she talks.
