    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptster.com experience with show sponsorship not good

I stay out of these kind of things for the most part. I just wanted to add that you've lost a few more show attendees for your actions. Not only that but I'm letting everyone I know who has or would attend your show about your actions here.

He did it to himself. He was flippant here, did not address the issues presented, insulted the BOI and then left. Why on earth would anyone deal with someone like that when there are better, more reliable, and some have said cheaper alternatives?

I'll never deal with Reptster. Why would I want to put up with the kind of garbage I saw from him?

People are choosing to close their accounts ... no one, including Kelly, is forcing them to do that. There's that little thing called "free will" .. you know?
Like the free will David excercised when first agreed to sponsor the show, the same free will he used when he chose to cease all communication with Kelly, when he did not send a check as he had promised (whether it be 5.00 or 250.00 or 750.000 and when he evidently publicly lied about having other emails that he would post here to support his side of the situation, but instead he used his free will to post nonsense emails in a feeble attempt to derail the topic.

If people choose to close their Repster accounts, it is not due to Kelly. It is due to David's lack of professionalism, lack of respect and lack of business acumen. If people choose to stay with Repster, more power to them. If they choose to leave Repster, the same power to them. Frankly, I've been of the opinion that it was only a matter of time before David took on too much too fast, got in over his head and Respter began declining. I'd like to think he could reverse things now before it really is too late.

Nice to know your loyalties can still be bought by anyone or anything that can get folks through the door at your swap meet. Keep talking , I'm sure it will have folks beating down the door to get in.

This is the second time you've defended someone of a questionable nature that I know of. At least your consistent.

This is a wonderful community here on Fauna and many times people will help others in need. I know this is nowhere near $750 but each little bit helps.

Good questions. All the terms are stated on the site on the same page as the video. You have all the same rights and rules as normal FedEx shipping. All areas that FedEx serves are open. If you would incur higher fees using FedEx you will incur them with us. YOU ARE STILL SHIPPING FEDEX. The difference is a year ago I went to them and stated I want free boxes for the entire community. I used the USPS/Ebay program as an example, you get a dollars worth of supplies to ship a five dollar package. They fought us for sometime but said ok under the terms that we pay for the boxes and get reimbursed when people ship off the FedEx/Reptster.com portal. We agreed and started programming immediately. Then I brought the concept of the video to them rather than requiring certification. We had to cover the cost of the video but they ok'd that also.
As for bringing all this up on an open forum. I don’t mind discussing this anywhere. Reptster Inc is a Florida corporation that has four programmers, me and a few others that it is responsible to. We are not a fly by night group, we are here to make a great place for the reptile community. We are only interested in providing services that the community will find valuable and will benefit from. And hopefully if we do that well enough the community will feel its worth advertising with us. If you have any doubts about the integrity of the FedEx program there are plenty of forums where people are talking about there great experiences thus far. Our forum has a few as does ball-pythons.net and a few others.

You all are amazing! You have had me and Matt sitting here laughing so hard we are almost crying! In times like this, it is really tough to stay professional, so we will just let you guys have fun and say things we could never say!

As far as offers for money, the first thing I can say is thank you all. We have talked about this, and it just wouldn't feel right to us to take people's money without something in return. It is just not how we are. Sure, this missing sponsorship hit us hard, but we are sure that it will all work out in the end. So we will respectfully decline. If you really want to donate to a good cause and do something good for the show, we would ask that you find a good reptile rescue and donate the money there - those guys need it more than we ever will. But the heart you all have for this is incredible, and it means the world to us both.

I still beleive David should not have posted as he had nothing to gain.. No matter what he said or did he was going to get it.
People keep saying it doesn't matter what the price was but it does. It means they didn't agree on a price.. Only the they know what was said on the phone.
I wouldn't attend the show as I disagree with how the OP posted this and I wouldn't use Repster as I choose to ship without a middle man so I don't have a dog in this fight.
The funny thing is we expect others to understand us and not make laws regarding reptiles yet some within the herp community insist on calling people childish names like "idiots
because of what they say. Why not ban or at least suspend those calling names. It was said it would be done but of course nothing will happen except excuses why it wasn't done.
Neither one of the people involved will likely succeed with all this back and forth and they will just be additional victims of posting here..
Agree or disagree just stop the name calling and act like adults my bad that's how adults act..
Repter I said you shouldn't have posted but you got sucked in and you will never have an acceptable response to satisfy everyone. Your best bet is to just let this get burried with all the other threads and go on with business..
 
Matt is a genius. This is one reason I married him...

We want to put out an offer to Rich. At this point in time, we have an open table at the show, and instead of just pushing some other vendor into it, we would like to in some way show our appreciation to Fauna, Rich and all of the members here by doing some sort of advertising for Fauna on that table. This, of course, would be at no charge to Rich or anyone else. We would also like to put up some banner advertising on the website main page.

Rich, please get in touch with us soon so we can arrange something. If you have any sort of fliers or banners or such that you would allow us to put up to help advertise the site, we would like to arrange getting them from you before the show. Also, you need to pick a banner for us to put on the website.

I will be sending Rich a PM to let him know about this as well, in case he doesn't see it on his own...

See why I love my husband? He has such wonderful ideas...

If this event wasn't so far, I would not only attend ...I would buy about 3-4 tables ...sounds like its going to be a good one :thumbsup:

If Kelly & Matt ever decide to make it a two day event ... I'll make the trip :yesnod:
