In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Outbackreptiles.com

Hello everyone, this is Jazmin's (The OP) cousin.

I just wanted to let everyone know she came over today (To help me move a new tank for my beardies) and let me know how the Leos were doing.

Jazmin is optimistic that at least two of them will make it into adult hood. We are still worried about the worst of the three.

I just wished to tag an update since it was mentioned by a former poster.

I just noticed something that I thought I should bring to the moderators attention.

There is a TAG for ed clark in the tags field.

Why? This thread has nothing to do with him and it brings up BOI threads about him.

I would have to guess Mikey added it prior to his ban and can longer remove it.

Funny you comment on "Ed Clark"...but not "water sports", lol.
Thanks for the heads up.

Why would you want to buy animals, new morphs or not, from a company that gets their animals from a sub-par "wholesaler", then in turn, doesn't keep them in proper conditions (IE: doesn't quarantine), and then sends them out to customers?

To answer you question... the reference to Ian G's long history of breeding and producing healthy top quality ball pythons for at least 20 years shows you that he is a caring person that provides for his animals with a long track record.

In this case it appears that his leopard gecko breeder let him down? I can only guess at this.

Saying that they were not kept in proper conditions is a guess of yours as you dont know what those conditions actually are.

As a gecko breeder I was appalled and outraged when I seen the pics posted.
I believe we all sent a strong message to help them do better in the future.

I used to be very wary of outback because I had a friend that though outback were monsters. There was a recent issue with another friend where he had a ball python that was not eating. He got it from outback. On of the guys from outback met with Shane and gave him some tips and now that BP is doing better than ever! Anyway Outback is huge we can all agree on that and with a big company like outback there is going to be issues! Things WILL happen. I don't doubt if you go to Ian and say "Ian I got an issue with these animals can you help me out?" he will say "Sure what can I do!" It is this additude that has led me to purchase a snake from outback at the next Manassas Show. They are good guys and Ian is a stand up breeder and Person

One could only hope but (guessing) chances are they will still be doing business with the breeder (if that is where the geckos condition did occur) they received the geckos from regardless of this thread. Mike surely made it sound like this is common and not an isolated incident.

If the geckos did originate from a "big breeder" and where received in the condition pictured they (outback) are certainly doing the community a disservice by not naming the breeder in which they came from.

At least he didn't rant about his testes this time. :ack2:

Or blame his posting on being on pain medications.

Ohhhh...thats right.....now I remember.....testicle boy.

Same dude wanted to punch out a 15 yr old kid or something.

Its all coming back to me...slowly but its coming back.

Anyway, they cant seem to keep out of trouble, eh?

I've spoken with both Ian and Josh on the phone during a delay with an Outback purchase.

I will say that they both seem to care for the hobby. Josh was good to deal with and was always willing to step up and accept responsibility for the delay. Ian called me to personally apologize and take responsibility for an extended delay.

The ball pythons are doing great today. I have no complaints.

Ian should ban Mike Schultz from the computer--or at least this site.

Mike is currently not a participant...which is probably a good thing, now that people's memories have been stimulated. Let's leave the personal stuff out of this.

I would really like to know who it was. I have several friends who buy and breed leopards. I would really hate for them to buy from Outback OR their "breeder" and end up with a sick and dying animal.

Just not right.

I was really sickened to see those little guys in such a horrible state. And along with the other posters do not care what they're 'mistake' was for shipping the animals out like that and basically (IMHO) pawning them off onto someone. Resolved or not it should not have happened. :deadhorse

Come clean with your "breeder". I would really like to warn my friends of this loser (who should be prosecuted for animal cruelty) and Outback.

I too would like to know the name of the breeder. I already am on edge on who I give my money to. Fiascos like this make me want to say to hell with everybody else, I'll breed my own geckos.

I wouldn't have to guess if they'd just own up and explain the conditions... but we all know that's never gonna happen. But I don't think I'm far off base anyway...

As an unbiased observer and owner of a sweetheart of a gecko named Duchess (now weighting 80 grams).. I have to put in my two cents. To me the incident as many have stated has gone beyond being a matter of rectifying a "mistake" made to a customer.

For one, mistakes of this nature are IMPOSSIBLE to make if correct quarantine procedures are being followed. I am not so dumb enough to believe that someone just reached into a box and grabbed animals that were there and simply dumped them into a box without looking at them (they would at least have to count how many went into the box!)

Now, I admit that I am not versed in all the listed Gecko illnesses and diseases, but if any of those geckos had something that could spread..then putting ill geckos in with some healthy geckos was the height of carelessness! Not only did they apparently not quarantine, they also did not have the animals vet checked and, therefore; do not know the risk to which they exposed the healthy geckos.

With people pawning off infected snakes these days, I certainly would not purchase from any breeder that was so cavalier about their animals health, condoned purchasing starving animals (for whatever reason) that were obviously neglected/abused, and I know I don't purchase from people that have shown their word to be less than trustworthy (but that's just me):).

Now, I was sincerely hoping that this was an isolated incident, and that Outback could explain how it happened so that we could all breath a sigh of relief and all would be right with the world once again...but somehow after reading the attempts to "explain" the situation away..I no longer think so.:(
