    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Yaz Mansour and the dead Boa

I am very interested to see this report David has.

Dave, I can post pics of my gravid female tonight if necessary. When I acquired that boa I was told he was about 7-8 years old. I have had him for 2 years which makes him 9-10 years old. I weighed him, he weight a little under 40 LB while inside a plastic tub. Subtract a few LBs from the 40, he'd be around 37LB and measured 8ft long, as I stated in my ad.
 
I MAY have been lied to as of how old he was when I got him. If so, I am very sorry but I stated the age based on what I was told when I got him. The guy I got him and a big female from (which is now the female that is gravid) had both of them all their lives so I dont think he would have lied or made something up as far as their ages go.
 
I don't know what others think, but I don't think that the snake you sold to David is a male. I may be completely wrong, but I don't.It has a very feminine build. I am okay with being wrong too. I'm pretty sure that its a female though, and even if your female is holding, it doesn't mean that the snake you sold to David is a male. I am not saying you paired her with something else, but she could be carrying slugs if my suspicions are correct

Snake was quarantined and died. Just to clear that up. Also Yaz the approximate age of the snake is about right. No concerns with age.
 
Ok this has been bothering me tremendously. The majority of this thread seems to involve Yaz questioning the buyers knowledge of boas and claiming a 100% healthy boa was sent.

Yaz do you have a recent vet report to show this claim by you?

Seems to me you don't quite know what you think you know about boas. One, your own email says that you keep them at a constant 86 degrees. I'm guessing this is without a hot spot since you seem to think an 88 degree hotspot is too warm. It is very hard for a boa to fight off a respiratory infection without being given the opportunity to raise their body temperature to an optimum level. And I'm sorry but 86 with no hot spot isn't going to do it. That might be just warm enough for the snake to slowly get worse while hiding symptoms.

Two, aren't you the one who was trying to sell an albino boa as a sunglow? Even when corrected buy multiple people you said something like... well that's what I got it as so that's what I'm selling it as....

So, we have sub-optimum care, lack of knowledge on what your selling, and an attitude that you possibly can't be to blame and can't "lose on a deal". I've seen this equation add up a few times on the BOI and it never turns out good if you get my drift.

You have never answered my other posts so I'm not sure you will with this one as well....
 
To me it would seem that was a lot of Money for a old boa correct me if im wrong but dont boas of that type typically only live 15 maybe 20 years if well taken care of?

I have 2 females in that age range. Neither are over 7ft long or weigh more than 20 lbs though. Both are doing great and as a matter of fact one is gravid right now. They can live pretty long if their not overfed and obese.

Blah blah blah, give me a break. I have zero stock in this debate, I simply comment on how I would handle the situation. The real irony is you calling out people that live "near Yaz" and have your friend ChrisW questioning and answering for you. Let's stop slinging mud - all I commented on was posting proof, which is completely reasonable...why be so dramatic about this whole damn thing? You got the report, post it and stop playing the dumb games.

Yeah I have a vet who has a rtb that is 32 years old and still going strong. He doesn't breed it.

He got it when he was 14.

Like Matthew said, at most 7 ft and maybe 20 lbs.

John, you have added a lot to this thread. You have kept a level head, and made a lot of sense in all of your posts. I have nothing against you , and just want that out there before I say this, so that it doesn't seem like I am just commenting because you posted.
I think Chris should be MORE involved in this thread if anything, as he was the one who paid for the snake.
I agree though...Lets make with the proof!!

It's been established that Chris merely acted as the funds transferee. No need to get even more people adding to to this monster. If David has a report, let him post it tonight like he said, and we'll go from there. This thing is only two days old, and it's going on 9 pages now. A whole lot of it is just bickering and repeating oneself.

Give David the chance to show the report.

I can tell that you and I wouldnt get along very well John.

ChrisW is a business partner and knows me very well. I have four young children, professional sales rep in the biotechnology arena, coach 3 different soccer teams and breed high quality bearded dragons as a hobby. Dumb games?

This report that everyone is talking about will be up in a few. As soon as I finish getting the kids to bed and scan it. It is only a preliminary report so no one should be jumping to conclusions but I am sure some will. Go ahead and look for the loopholes. I know that is what you are salivating for.

Too bad this thread has gotten so muddy. Some don't and won't remember the facts and why I brought this BOI up in the first place.

I assume you did it to plead your case and perhaps resolve your issue with Yaz. Documentation will certainly assist you in those efforts.

You know, David, some will remember why this was brought here. Some will skip to the end to look for the proof, while some will not. Some will see the thread title, and look at nothing more, but those that matter will weigh the evidence, words, and tone of all parties involved. You've come to the BOI for help, and now sound like you're being put out because you are asked to post a report. I do look forward to seeing it, and hope this matter is resolved.
