• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    "The Guide to Owning a Leopard Gecko"

    I was browsing Ray Hunziker's book in Amazon today, when I came to page 5's "Choosing a Leopard Gecko" guidelines. The last lines about looking for external parasites read (ticks and mites) both dig in beneath the scales . What did I miss here? My leos have no scales, but noticeable pores ...

    Sick leo -- realistic expectations?

    I have a young leo (~2 mo old) that completely stopped eating two days ago. She was passing watery stools off and on for two weeks after I fed her a butterworm. The white urate portion was always solid, though. In the last four days she regurgitated everything she ate, including her skin shed...

    Finicky Leo? try this...

    My leo was very finicky. She got as skinny as a pencil. Eating a cricket every two days or so, if that. Then I got her a larger cricket and for the first time, she wiggled her tail in front of me. She seemed to pick up. I got her butterworms and silkworms and now she eats daily. She does not...

    How long can a leo go without going? We're talking crap

    What is the longest we can be patient about a leo's constipation? How long can they defy all laws of thermodynamics and keep that tummy filling in all day without emptying the bowels (in spite of the fact we've been feeding on crickets and mealwortms daily), before we rush it to the vet? I...

    A White Plains find this weekend, for $15... She is all hues of pink. Pink where the yellow normally is, lavender on the bands, lavender spots. Though the picture may look yellowish, trust me, she has no yellow anywhere on her skin... What is she? Wanda
