In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy 2balls is a thief

Sorry, my snakes were shipped and I had no way of knowing he was a scammer, as I siad before no one posted anything about it until after!

I tried reading through everything, I got winded at the end. I apologize, I thought you hadn't shipped anything by the time you were told about all this? Were you informed that the snake was stolen before you decided to ship your end of the deal? If so, you are in the wrong. AS SOON as you heard the snake was stolen you should of totally help off on everything for as long as needed.

While this is a total bummer, I would personally still feel very inclined to return the snake to it's original owner. Maybe Richard would help you out with a little something down the road for being a good sport? Just a thought. We should always do the right thing, even if it hurts us personally a little bit.

I was told by Richard it was stolen and by Paxton that Richard was mistaken and Paxton had 2! Richard's was sent back and this was his!

And because nothing was done earlier and because I have to take one word over another after speaking to both parties I'm to blame? Be realistic, this could just open the door for other scams and stop the pet trade, he said she said. Maybe next time someone has a deal they regret they'll just say the animal was stolen! How simple is that? Maybe a BOI should've been posted from the start and I wouldn't be in this discussion!

I tell you what being realistic is all about, there is no deal sweet enough that can entice a good guy to take a snake that has been labeled as stolen. You weren't "obligated" to do anything and very easily could have sent that snake back to the shipper. Just because there wasn't a BOI posted on this guy, doesn't absolve you from a moral obligation. Now you're that guy with questionable practices.

You can keep playing the "it was his word over his word" card, but you accepted a trade on a snake that was potentially stolen. But in reality, it looks like you ended up taking the shippers word over the guy that claimed it was stolen. So don't try to pull the wool over our eyes and act like you were stuck between two parties, because you did end up choosing a side.

That is not a positive practice of any good guy I have ever met ... and then you tried to move the snake after all this?

Were you informed that the snake was stolen before you decided to ship your end of the deal?

My understanding...

He agreed to a trade, received the tiger & was informed that it was possibly a stolen snake prior to sending the snakes he agreed to trade.

Once hearing the snake he received was possibly stolen he attempted to delay sending the snakes he agreed to trade in hopes of the issue being resolved or receiving more information.

Unfortunately, he ended up shipping the snake's he agreed to per the deal. He claims he completed the transaction because he didn't see any BOI or additional info about the snake being stolen, was under pressure to ship, & was lied to by the other party who advised the stolen tiger was a different snake that was returned.

-------------------------------------------------------

Is the Tiger your selling the same snake in question here?
I seen a few members beat me at replying back in regards to the answer of my question. I know you said you weren't selling it now but think you forgot to change your classified or maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Quoting what Darren said here...
How was I to respond? There were no warnings or BOI's about this guy prior to this one. We agreed on a trade, he shipped first. I postponed as long as I could AND even offered Joe and Richard my cancellation of the trade and I'd ship the tiger back to Ohio to which they said no! I was not involved in that deal, I delayed my shipping as long as possible giving them time to come up with a solution but didn't. I felt compelled to hold up my end of the trade, I'm not judge and jury. Had there been a BOI then I never would have traded to begin with! And after "Paxton Cheng" called me he said Richard didn't realize he had 2 tigers, one was Richard's that he shipped back and one was his that he shipped to me. How do I argue that when I know no one involved on either side?

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE. I was NEVER asked/told by Darren if he could ship the snake back to Richard. I thought he would've done that from our discussion since it was the logical and only right thing to do. You received a stolen snake. You were told by Richard and I that IN FACT THAT WAS THE SNAKE IN QUESTION BECAUSE IT MATCHES ALL OF OUR PICTURES. SAME SNAKE. PAXTON WAS LYING.

You already know he is a scammer and a liar. You already knew your dealing with him was shady EVEN BEFORE we spoke about this. And you knew you had a stolen snake and Paxton was the thief BEFORE you shipped back to him, and you did it anyway.

and now you were either going to sell the snake to 'get out of it', or keep it yourself until 'legal action' is taken? WOW. Just WOW.

We call have pics proving it is the same snake. What else does he need?

I told you this is a very tight knit community and we help each other... I can't believe you went about it this way.

There is no 'tough decision' when the decision is CLEARLY to either do the right thing, or help a scammer. I can't believe this is happening.

I think he would rather keep Richard at a loss than himself ... even though he was the one that made the poor choice and exasperated the situation.

:iagree: that's the bottom line. It sucks he was in that position from the start but things like this really define a person.

Here are, first, the pic of the Tiger that belongs to me when I was trading it to Richard several months back
followed by the pic that Paxton sent me of 'his' Tiger' that he wanted to trade me and then traded to Darren.

We matched it up to the pics Richard has, and the pics in Darrens ads, and they were the same snake.

If you follow the pattern and head markings and meet at that black dot in the side blotch, you will see. Identical.

I just checked and it seems Darren removed his FB ads because I can not find them anymore.

Ask him to post a pic.

Richard just called me and is trying to post pics. He is NOT a computer person and is trying to do this via phone.

Lucille, you make a valid point so I will not sell the tiger

Good choice.

...I honestly feel that the tiger is Richard's

Darren,

I think if you really feel that you know who the owner is, get some documentation, maybe a receipt from Richard, just something to have in hand. Then go ahead and ship him back. If you weren't sure, I'd agree that you might wait until ownership is established. But you are saying above, that you are sure, that you feel that the snake belongs to Richard.

Leads back to my original saying about doing the right thing even if t hurts ourselves.

Darren, your not making the right decision here. While doing the right thing might be hard for you, it's still the right thing to do.

Thank you for clearing that up Chris.

and here are two pics that Darren is using to sell the Tiger on Kingsnake, which the ad is still up -> http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=32&de=971877

I know the pics are small, but match the head, the pattern, and that dot in the center..

what more is needed?

The ad is still up because some of us actually work! So I send the snake back to Richard and lose out completely yet it was Richard who made the bad trade and neglected to post anything and he walks away with his snake, Paxton walks away with my snakes and I'm left without anything minus 2 snakes! I saw Joe trying to trade for the snake why didn't you make him an offer he couldn't refuse and get the snake back for Richard?

I told Joe Rollo that I would send it back to the shipper and let them sort it out but he was adamant about me not sending it back, just send it to Richard!

If you take your time to read what was said I said I would ship it back to OHIO, not Richard, and let them sort it out! Don't call me a fucking liar when you can't even take the time to understand what you're reading.

And EVERYONE seems to be completely overlooking the original issue at hand, how come no one is suggesting that Richard continue contacting Paxton?

I'm not jumping you for it, but you did decide to ship out your part of the deal after you had reasonable notice that something was going on.

You do not lose completely, you have a cause of action against whoever sent you the stolen property.

I know this all very upsetting, but you have to do it. You have actual possession of the snake, you have to restore it to its rightful owner, and you yourself have said that you think Richard is the rightful owner. Unless you find evidence that leads you to believe that is not the case, you need to return it.

The point I, myself and touching on is how you knew before you even shipped your side of this "deal" that this snake was in question. WHY would you ship it back to OH? To the thief? It makes no sense.

It makes NO sense why you wouldn't and still won't ship the snake back to it's original owner...Richard.

Why "let them sort it out" when you could have done the right thing and came out looking like a great guy?
