If there was a BOI for pizza parlors with ownerd who acted nearly as pompous as Anthony, their business would be affected negatively. In any case, let's not mistake his behavior as anything for less than an orchestrated meltdown/tantrum with the soul purpose of acting the hotshot behind the scenes avering how he sure showed Fauna who they were messing with while tee heeing all the while. His holier than thou drivel was pathetic. He said in post 109 that "you and your site are beneath me". Yet that didn't stop him from submitting around 20 posts before that comment and 7 more after. If he didn't take this site seriously, he wouldn't have been concerned about his "livelihood" in post 86. Just sayin'. After reading this thread, I wouldn't buy a cloud from ypur deity buddy.

Just because others may continue to shop somewhere despite your bad experience does not mean that if your bad experience is advertised that it will not deter some business. That is all any individual can hope for who has had a bad business transaction. I don't think anyone expects to become best friends with a seller...and I didn't see anyone in this thread act as if that should be what happens. I however do expect to deal with a reasonable and courteous seller. And you can bet your bottom dollar that if I see someone acting like Anthony seems to like to act that I am turning the other way and taking my money else where. And on the way I'm probably telling every one I know that would possibly do business with that person.

Word of mouth and threads like this, they absolutely do effect a seller's business. You are talking about big business right now, this is not big business. Small businesses take a way bigger hit from something like this. And no matter what Anthony thinks of himself, he is still a small business man. I think the real problem is, a lot of Anthony's type of customers will not be the type of people who will be bothered by this behavior.

Maybe Anthony could be the #1 or #2 crested gecko breeder in the world if so many people didn't think he has poor customer service. Who's to say it hasn't already affected him?

Just an observation. I've met and spoken with CEOs and with people in positions of great power in business. The vast majority of them have been quiet and polite, and have made it a point to extend every courtesy to those around them. It costs them nothing to do so, and business acquaintances, friends, and the public in general come away with a positive image.

I feel that people in the hobby sometimes need to realize the difference between a business breeder and a hobby breeder.

As in different DNA or something? No, both hobby and business breeders, and everyone else, are all basically the same. We are all human beings and we all have the opportunity to treat each other with courtesy.

Powerful people are often courteous, they know it gains them nothing to be abusive, and in fact can be a detriment to their business.

I do not think anyone should have license to be verbally abusive because of their job or profession. We are all human, we should all treat each other with courtesy, and

If you don't like how a business serves you as a customer you are entitled to keeping your money and going somewhere else with your business.

I agree with this statement and it is one of the reasons we have the BOI, so that customers can share experiences and make choices to avoid those who they do not wish to do business with.

Neither party came out looking very well. The OP refused to post proof, and Anthony showed his true colors.

It doesn't matter if Anthony is one of the top gecko breeders (or any type of reptile breeder), his actions will affect his business.

He will still have his loyal followers, of course.
Regardless of hobby breeder or business breeder, it doesn't matter how he acts when things go right. how he acts in a situation when something goes wrong is what matters.

Anthony's mentality towards everyone here speaks volumnes about his true character, and believe me, word is spreading like wildfire on FB.

sorry you find my post to be hard to understand.. I don't get how its ok to make claims not provide proof.. the FIRST post they said they could and would.. I also don't know or like the sellers response.. crappy way to handle it.. but the initial thread was ALL ABOUT a disagreement on payment.. anyone else like to see "if" this is true?? hell, make a claim on the BOI provide proof.. its all a searchable public record now.. so its done and history.. now we are discussing points without the original OP input or the sellers input.. seems silly..

I don't see any reason to post about ajc on a $130 or so dollar purchase unless there was a payment made. With the harassment shown, plus posting address and phone number, maybe he got a lawyer and the legal advice told him not to continue this post. Just trying to look at a different angle. Any lawyers want to chime in on this? what would you tell a client?

Then what exactly would be the purpose of this forum? People can and do draw their own conclusions about people from what they type on this forum.

And seeing as how the OP hasn't posted proof, he's shot himself in the foot. Not to mention that he's been shown to supposedly be connected to another ID on here.

Anthony has shown his true colors as well.

Therefore, just like it has been stated before. Nothing gets deleted, altered or moved.

If you don't like it, then you have the option of not using this forum, just like everyone else.

Amanda, no one is saying that the OP no longer needs to provide proof.

If you read the rules for BOI threads, they do not get deleted.
this thread will stay, giving people a view on both the OP as well as Anthony.

Even if there's no "conclusion" so to speak, these threads still are benefitial in helping others decide who to do business with and who to avoid.

Not everyone likes the way they are treated by all business' in general , but that's the amazing thing about having freedom of choice. If you don't like how a business serves you as a customer you are entitled to keeping your money and going somewhere else with your business. I'd assume not everyone likes the people who work at Versace stores or Ferrari dealerships or even your local pantry, but because you don't like their attitude doesn't mean they do bad business and that's a fact. It's so interesting how some people in the reptile community automatically believe the most amazing friendship is going to stem from purchasing a gecko or a reptile from someone when that's just not true . I mean are you best friends with your mechanic ? Or the person at dominoes that makes your pizza ? Have you ever invited the cashier at your local store that has rang you out over for dinner ? Right . It wasn't productive for Anthony to lash out at the mods but I can understand why it happened. When so many people talk so much to try and do everything to portray you as the evil empire ruler , an evil person, or just to black ball you in the industry it's not a wonder someone feels they have to be on edge. I'm not excusing his behavior I can just understand it. As far as the rest of the thread . Seems like John has identity crisis Moore than anything ironic how in that other thread he also never showed up to post proof . This seems like an open and shut case of someone purchased a healthy animal , then had buyers remorse so instead of being a man about it and asking for a refund which he wasn't entitled to and he knew it he decided, knowing Anthony was probably already pissed off, to bring it to somewhere Anthony's attitude would surface for a crowd.

If someone doesn't like "their attitude", that is "bad business". Perhaps you could humor the viewers here by disclosing any one person you know in the reptile community who automatically believes that the most amazing friendship is going to stem from purchasing any animal. Lastly, no one portrayed Anthony ad an "evil empire ruler". He exposed himself as such.

Thanks for the compliment , but this is where I feel you're wrong . I'm glad you used Papa Johns (another large name or mainstay in the za industry) . See their business will still go on , it will still be another day in the office day in and day out after that manager swore at you . You may not come back , alas others will eat regardless of your feelings about it just because the product is what it is. Remember the animal's quality and health were not in question here. It was a customer feeling ill about the way the customer service was handled. Which yes if you're an employee for a large corporation , it may not fair well for you with corporate ,but when you own your own place. The same rules don't apply

Secondly they swearing Anthony did to merit his being kicked from the forum wasn't at his customer it was at the Admin/Owner of this site who isn't or probably hasn't ever been a customer of AC's for other things . Just wanted to make sure you knew what was going on

Sites like Yelp exist for a reason. As I used to tell my airmen, 50 attaboys gets removed by one ahshite. Poor customer service can kill a business quickly. Just ask your nearest Burger King, if it's still open. Almost all of ours are closed in a city of almost 500K. There's a Dominos and Pizza Hut real close to that Papa Johns, and the foods just as tasty.

I wasn't speaking of the language and other actions that got Anthony bounced, I was speaking to the language used in the e-mails/texts to the OP.

I just spoke with Perry Mason. He's pretty sure that posting a screen shot proving HIS OWN ALLEGATIONS is safe. Especially now that Anthony is restricted from participating here.
