In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Posted everything everybody asked in the requested forms. I am business person who has a hobby. I wasn't looking for anything but a honest transaction and this guy wasn't. Period

As a synthesis of several posts:

Russell -

Shipped without agreement to receive. This is a risky move for the animal regardless of which side the party is on.

Does not appear to know how to approach feeding a GTP and is overly aggressive with what he perceives as a non-feeder (which has been seen feeding in presumably capable hands where low-capability hands failed).

Does appear to have buyer's remorse as a response to his caregiving ineptitude. When you believe you do not have the ability to be at fault in a husbandry problem, then your evaluations are worthless since you are unable or unwilling to question yourself. Seller beware.

Andre -

Requested the friends and family method through PayPal. Buyer beware.

Does appear to have both the snake and $1000 remaining of the purchase price. Buyer beware. That said, if disputes are open, I would not trust Russell at all with his promises to cancel them if refunded.

Posts plenty elsewhere, but is not willing to address it here where he could challenge the OP on equal footing. This will rub people the wrong way. I understand some people cannot control themselves well and refuse to comment due to not wanting to dig a deeper hole than they are already standing in, but he is willing to post elsewhere in an impermanent medium.

------------

I think any prospective buyers from Andre and any prospective sellers to Russell have plenty to think about when considering a transaction with either party.

Nick thanks for your comments but have many chondros that i have raised from neos. Your comment about not trusting me are insulting but your entitled to your opinion. I would like to know how you arrived at that though. An example of where i reneged on my word would be nice. I have received some columbian rainbow boa morphs from the czech rep 4 times the price of this animal with no problems. I
Importing is difficult especially at JFK so competency is in tact

Feel insulted if you like. I have been provided no reason to trust you.

That phrase occurred to me as well. Being in a position where one has to use several credit cards just to purchase one animal may well mean that there are no funds available for vet care if needed, so the buyer may be more sensitive to even normal variations as he observes the new acquisition.

Lucille i have several credit cards linked to my pay pal account. There is no issue when it comes to affordability so vet care if needed is not an issue. Assumptions are going into areas i dont understand. My credit utilization on my credit report is under under 5% of 45k of available credit. Buyers remorse was only because the snake was not a great feeder as advertised that is it

Careful, that is an accusation without any hard evidence. Russell stated that he has imported Colombian rainbow boas from a breeder in Czech. I talked to him during the process and know that he dropped thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars on one shipment. Russell makes enough money that he could afford a vet visit.
This simply comes down to receiving an expensive snake that didn't thrive. If I paid that much for a single snake I'd want the breeder to work with me a lot too. I deal with people's questions on a daily basis for animals worth much less than the $2,000 gtp.

In your hands. Rather than try to adjust things gently, you tried to press them based on your personal expectations. These animals are not machines that must perform to an exact extent when you press a button.

This simply comes down to receiving an expensive snake that didn't thrive.

I did not see it fail to thrive. Maybe there is another timeline not shared showing a failure to thrive. It did not eat for a person who kept trying to push it hard over a relatively short period of time and ate soon after it was sent back to the seller (who, as far as care is concerned, seems to know what he is doing).

Nick if you see the posts you seem to making assumptions about forcing it to eat. The snake barley ate twice in 2 months and was advertised as a great feeder.

You seem to be misreading, as I never said force.

In. Your. Care.

That does not mean the snake was the problem.

push it hard over a relatively short period of time is what you said seems similar to me. Don't want to go back and forth so thank you for your input will take into consideration

You are willfully exaggerating to suit your narrative when you try take something I did say and weakly attempt to make it into something I did not say. Force means something and I did not use the word for a reason. That reason being no indication of force-feeding that I saw, so I am not interested in accusing you of something you did not do. You are a situationally problematic buyer who has trouble taking responsibility for your part in things.

Sorry you did a poor job with the snake. Hopefully you get the rest of your money back and it eventually is sold to someone who knows how to care for it.

Careful, that is an accusation
Careful, there is no accusation, you are misreading. I simply surmised 'may' about what the OP's behavior might mean.
I also surmise that future potential sellers may take pause at the way the OP shipped back without permission.

That bothers me a lot, regardless if he sent tracking or anything else, there was not an agreement in place to accept the snake back.

Both parties are ones to be avoided, IMO.

i really have not seen an agreement with Paypal where they take a little from this credit card, a little from that. Unless one is maxed out or not available for some reason. Who knows, maybe they do it that way. I have a couple different ways to pay for my Paypal purchases, they have only ever used one at a time.

You say you have no affordability issue, but you are saying a lot of things.
If vet care was so affordable, did you take the critter to the vet to get some professional feedback on the so called feeding issue?
I wonder if there was any feeding issue at all.
