I am glad that this all worked out in the long run, I am also hope the Timor pythons make it though any vet trips and learn to thrive for you. I also hope your pastel females makes out ok for you..
I guess I'll be the unreasonable one in the crowd. Since this wasn't really a relatively minor issue, I have to ask if anyone can confirm that there even is a quarantine building, and that his operation is big enough to have his own employees?
If there was always the possibility that it could have been blamed on "unsupervised (now former) employees", it seems a bit odd that that wouldn't have been a possibility that he could have initially conceded to. This scenario isn't exactly about a slight misrepresentation, and I think that the severity of their condition may make it worth taking a closer look at.
I agree in post #1 It says (He said they were thriving and had been in his collection for over a year.)
If they had been in his collection for over a year, sorry, but this " employee " explanation does not cut it, compared to the first post stating that they were thriving in his collection for over a year.
Andy said in his email to the OP:
" These animals have been in a quarantine building since their arrival, supposedly under the care of some folks who worked for up until yesterday that is! "
What? Were they in quarantine for a year? Andy really has that big of a reptile breeding operation that he needs " employees? "
I think it's a bit early to see it as "all's well that ends well". Calling it a wash may be a bit overly kind, at least as far as Jones is concerned. It's very likely that his own typo screwed him out of his chance to screw the OP over. The next guy may not be lucky enough to dodge such a big bullet. The fact that the OP got extremely lucky, doesn't negate what seems be the other party's intent to rip him off.I have to agree with this, but both parties are now satisfied that the deal is finished so it's a wash!![]()
First of all, they should have never been shipped. Second of all, they were supposed to have been treated upon arrival for any parasites!
