In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

the dealer i bought it from i have been doing business with for a long time and has never once lied to me there for i have no reason to think it is any thing other than 40 40 20.

 :lol01:  :lol01:  :lol01:  :lol01:  :lol01:

I never said you lied, but you don't know. You are going by what you were told. So you could be passing on bogus information because of your ignorance of the animal's origin. That's all I was saying. I asked you a few questions and you seemed like you got an attitude. I have the right to ask questions when I am considering purchasing an animal. If this is the way you deal with potential customers then the name you are trying to make for yourself is obviously reflected in your lack of professionalism, lack of knowledge of the animals you are representing and selling and you short childish temper that will get you real far (sarcasm) in this business/hobby.

Way to go Adam..

You took that criticism from dan and didn't let it get you mad and you also apologized for the ad. Now thats what i call professionalism. Your proving your critics wrong already. Keep up the good work. Everybody that reads this thread will gain more respect for you for this kind of attitude towards your business and dealing with others.

Thank you and i will. and thanks again for your input i really do value it, i hope everybody can understand that i am new to dealing with reptiles over the internet and my new business over the internet and my pacience is being tested and sometimes i dont win but i am trying to learn i am not used to dealing with people so much. but i will try my hardest to get better at it. and thanks again

My Business Experience = Pleasant

I finally received my snake this morning, shipped overnight for a trade deal I agreed with Adam. The animal in question arrived in peak condition, Adam's packaging exceeded my expectations and our communication was far beyond pleasant. I back him up 110% on his animals and service through our medium of communication, he has shown no such temper towards me in any way whatsoever. The only piece of advice I have for you Adam, is just turn the other cheeck with the criticism you've been given. If it bothers you, it will only please your critics. You'll be much happier when you ignore those who oppose you.

Anyway, to confirm my business transaction with Adam it was great and I would definately do business with him again and look forward to doing so in the very near future.

I to look forward to doing business with peter in the future i am very pleased with our transaction. and the sidwinder looks great. thanks again. and thank you for your kind words and from now on in i will take advice as it is and not an insult. I just hope everybody else can understand that im still learning to deal with people dont have much experience in doing so. and thanks again cant wait till our next transaction.

Sidewinder huh? I'm kinda curious, are you talking about as in Crotalus cerastes ssp? Just wondering out loud, because CA (where Pete lives) has a few rules concerning herps. One is no exotics (ie. no non native venomous herps) and another rule they have is no selling of WC herps at all.
I don't mean to accuse anyone of poaching, as there may be some circumstances I may be unaware of, such as special permit or something, or someone may be unaware of certain laws :no_evil01 , and maybe this will make people more aware.

Anyhow, depending on what sp/ssp. it may have fallen under one or the other of the above mentioned laws. Though no actual money may have changed hands, a trade is valued as if a money transaction (sale).

hhmmmmmm? why cause it's a venomous animal, that you sent to CA in trade? Maybe I stand corrected, maybe it's a transaction involving both of the above mentioned laws.

p.s. Please let it be that if they were venomous herps on both ends, that you both used Delta Dash, the only legal way to send venomous herps, that I know of, so we don't have another fiasco like the one involving Kevin- oreganus_@_hotmail.com

we did not trade he gave me something and i gave him something and both snakes were native to both states there for it was completly legal on both ends and thank for your concern

Yes, the Desert Sidewinder's latin name is Crotalus cerastus. I really don't understand what you mean by "exotic," but in general this means foreign. You should know this sp. is native to the Mojave and Colorado deserts among other areas in California, Arizona, Colorado and Texas if I am not mistaken. There was no sale transaction, per se.

Yes, a permit is required depending on where you live and of course, your intentions for keeping such reptile. For example, if you plan on breeding native species, you are required to have a permit in the state of California.

Anyhow, depending on what sp/ssp. it may have fallen under one or the other of the above mentioned laws. Though no actual money may have changed hands, a trade is valued as if a money transaction (sale).

I'm interested to see where California Law states that a trade is considered equal to a sale. I may have been misinformed.

I am aware of such laws regarding the keeping of venomous reptiles within the State of California, and as a member of the Southwestern Herpetological Society you are allowed 2 of each species of rattlesnake here in California. You're more than welcome to correct me if I'm wrong.

And as far as Arizona (where i live) laws go a trade is not concidered a valued transaction. and is in no way illegal. but angain thank you, nothing we did was illegal in any way, i cant take the chance of getting cought there for i wouldnt brake the laws.

Do I know you, John? Because it seems like you're overly concerned regarding our business transaction. Obviously, you are mistaken considering you don't know the medium in which the reptiles were shipped. This is also not of your concern at all, you must know that Los Angeles International airport is the only local destination closest to Bakersfield to deliver via Delta. I am aware of the appropriate shipping carriers, but I do appreciate your concern. On the contraire, you should worry about your own matters.

No, you are wrong. You are not allowed to sell, trade, or barter ANY Arizona Native species, PERIOD. You can only gift them to someone. You DID break the law trading an Arizona native for another snake.

If you doubt what I say, take a wild guess at what I do for a living. I'll give you one guess.

It concerns us all when illegal transactions are occuring. Seeing as atleast one animal was illegal, it would not be a far stretch for people to start thinking they might have been shipped other than with the airlines. Care to answer now how the animals were shipped?

So it wasn't shipped via Delta Dash. *sigh* I suppose regulations and laws don't apply to you.

By the way:
we did not trade he gave me something and i gave him something
If that is not the definition of a "trade", please tell me what is? You've referred to it as a "trade" all along. Your decision to "give" him something was based on the agreement that he would "give" you something in return.

So you received a sidewinder? If so, that animal is an illegal exotic venomous. It matters not if the ssp is native to Arizona or not. If it came in from out of state, it is considered an exotic venomous and thus illegal.

Trust me, you don't want to go there.

By the way, how is it out there in Peoria?
