reptilebreeder said:Sidewinder huh? I'm kinda curious, are you talking about as in Crotalus cerastes ssp? Just wondering out loud, because CA (where Pete lives) has a few rules concerning herps. One is no exotics (ie. no non native venomous herps) and another rule they have is no selling of WC herps at all.
I don't mean to accuse anyone of poaching, as there may be some circumstances I may be unaware of, such as special permit or something, or someone may be unaware of certain laws, and maybe this will make people more aware.
Anyhow, depending on what sp/ssp. it may have fallen under one or the other of the above mentioned laws. Though no actual money may have changed hands, a trade is valued as if a money transaction (sale).
hhmmmmmm? why cause it's a venomous animal, that you sent to CA in trade? Maybe I stand corrected, maybe it's a transaction involving both of the above mentioned laws.
reptilebreeder said:p.s. Please let it be that if they were venomous herps on both ends, that you both used Delta Dash, the only legal way to send venomous herps, that I know of, so we don't have another fiasco like the one involving Kevin- oreganus_@_hotmail.com

Beyond the Web said:Do I know you, John? Because it seems like you're overly concerned regarding our business transaction. Obviously, you are mistaken considering you don't know the medium in which the reptiles were shipped. This is also not of your concern at all, you must know that Los Angeles International airport is the only local destination closest to Bakersfield to deliver via Delta. I am aware of the appropriate shipping carriers, but I do appreciate your concern. On the contraire, you should worry about your own matters.
So it wasn't shipped via Delta Dash. *sigh* I suppose regulations and laws don't apply to you.I finally received my snake this morning, shipped overnight for a trade deal I agreed with Adam.
If that is not the definition of a "trade", please tell me what is? You've referred to it as a "trade" all along. Your decision to "give" him something was based on the agreement that he would "give" you something in return.we did not trade he gave me something and i gave him something

So you received a sidewinder? If so, that animal is an illegal exotic venomous. It matters not if the ssp is native to Arizona or not. If it came in from out of state, it is considered an exotic venomous and thus illegal.
