    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

anybody ever deal with Hank molts global herp??? need some feedback

I too would like to see the e-mails.

IMO, it is a very bad business practice to sell animals you don't even have. As we see here, there is too large a margin for error. Maybe Hank should try to only sell what he has in his possession.

like Steve from serpents den i saw him at the Oct 16th show in pa but i did not hear good things from what i herd he was going to be arrested but that was just word of mouth something about selling illegal gila monsters who knows people talk

Well Hank is a super nice guy and I have not ever heard any complaints about his animals nor his not shipping. I know he is very busy, but untill some solid proof is posted here I doubt it has been 10 weeks.

And from what I heard Hank was out a little over 25k after the Daytona show this year due to a scam artist making off with some higher end hots.

So with that said lets see some solid proof here. And I would also like to contact hank and see if he is interested in joining this post also.

Hank offers other peoples reptiles for sell, than he
attempts to acquire said specimen. His turnover time
might be 6 months or 1 year, or maybe never. And,
all those stories about losing "high-end" hots is a
a crock. We have heard these stories for 30 years
in the reptile community. What does it matter if he
seems to be a nice guy. Try sending your money to
him.

I haven't so therefore that is how I came up with my assessment of his character.

Interesting e mails BTW, now lets see how this goes here now they have been posted.
 
Wait a second!

I guess I'm not seeing where some of you guys are coming from. Hank May be a good guy, Hank may be a great guy. If spider was looking to make a new friend, he could have reached out to him for that purpose. He did not. He contacted Hank over 10 WEEKS, 70 days ago! to buy some herps and still has not received product or refund. "I am terribly busy" is a valid excuse, but not when you are holding onto someone's money. I'm surprised that Hank isn't being held to the same standards that Joe Blow retailer is held to. Buyers shouldn't be footing the bill or be put on stand-by because Hank got screwed on a unrelated deal. He may not be a thief but he has unsound business practices based off the replies we're seeing and this type of business practice will NEVER earn my hard earned dollars.

If he doesn't go out of his way to ensure that his customers are satisfied and that they receive products (Already Paid for Mind you) in the time frame promised, then I would say that he Did go out of his way to steal or not meet his commitments. Just my opinion.
If you know Hank, why not make him aware of this thread and he can come here to explain this situation.
 
Paul, I am not trying to make excuses

for Hank. For whatever reason, Hank seems to get wrapped up from one unimaginable episode to another. This the way he has always been. But he does not advertise with the intent to defraud anyone.

I only see Hank once a year, and we just talk about old times. I dont know what he is doing, nor do I know his whereabouts, nor do I do any business with him. Insofar as this incident is concerned, I agree with you completely, the monies were sent, in good faith, and the animals were not sent. I just dont understand why! Its just out of character. Hopefully it will get resolved.

If Hank does not respond , then take whatever steps are necessary to get either your money or your animals. I dont think he should be afforded any privilege or special treatment either, but when you do business with Hank Molt, this is the way he conducts his life from one cliffhanger to another.

Ok we have your first email in July and nothing significant after that and it jumps right to October...... At what date did you send him the money???? Got an email about that?????

on 8/10/04 is when i sent him the bank draft for $2875.00. in our phone conversation i told hank i was sending his money over night for next day delivery, but he told me just to send it priority mail which i did. at that point i asked him when he could ship the 2 female gilas to me. Hank stated he was going to daytona for the venomous show that he puts on, so after he got back he was going to ship. a week after daytona i finally heard from him saying he was going to ship on friday, friday he called and told me he had to put his wife in the hospital because she had bronchitis and they found a lump in her lung. another time he was going to ship and never called for 2 weeks when he called i asked him why he never called me and he told me he lost his cell phone! another time he was going to ship and he called and couldnt because he said he had bronchitis, whenever i talked to hank on the phone i always told him to at least call and let me know what was going on as far the gilas because i was anxious to recieve them! and no there isnt an e-mail saying he recieved my money, but the local authorities have a copy of my bank draft from my credit union after it had cleared his bank. it was cashed on 8/27/04.
 
I am going to email Hank about this thread too. As we all know Hank has been doing this longer then most of us have been alive lol.

I received the emails about Hank and a few others getting herps stolen from them. I think I still have them.

I have never purchased anything from Hank. But the guy has gone out of his way for me many times. I know this is not like him at all. I feel something is missing here........ Does anyone else get that feeling?

I am not saying Spider is wrong I just have a feeling something is being left out.

but after 10 weeks you should have your herps or money. Unless you agreed to a longer wait. I hope this gets fixed for both parties invovled.........
 
I for one have no problem believing it!
I have emailed and called Hank on numerous occasions when he has advertised animals that appealed to me.
He never answered my emails, never returned my calls and never answered the phone directly. If he is this hard to get hold of when trying to purchase from him I would NEVER again consider purchasing an animal in case something happened after money was sent (for example - something was wrong with the animals). I prefer to purchase from individuals who consistantly and within a reasonable time frame answer my inquiries.
On a side note, it seems that there have been many threads recently involving "old timers" who have somewhere along the way forgotten that customer relations and honesty are a vital part of any business. Past reputation can only keep you afloat for so long. When your quality or customer relations/service start deteriorating it usually isn't too long before the word gets out that perhaps it would be best to look elsewhere for your purchases.

I'd like to know about the photos that Hank sent to Spider. If Molt didn't hve said animals, where were those photos pilfered from? False advertising is fraud, too-just ask bearded pets...
 
Hank's reputation!

Hank's reputation doesn't sit well with most of us OLD TIMERS either! I too have tried to get a hold of him to make purchases and was unable. What do expect from someone whose pricelist hasn't changed since the seventies! :)
