    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am afraid I might have been pawned by this guy. Said I would see my thermostat last friday or early this week. Neither has happend. It is two weeks today since I ordered. I wish I would have this board first. At this point I will just take a refund.

good luck with that. i would just call your credit card company right now, and tell them to cancel the transaction, then once they have, let matt know so he can cancel your order. if you do it the other way around, he will say it already shipped, then threaten to sue you for credit card fraud, blah blah blah. of course he'll probably threaten that no matter which way tou do it, but its all empty threats, so dont even think twice about them.

unfortunately for me, paypal decided matt is a good guy like they typically do in cases like this, since he provided proof of shipping, even though it was 3 weeks after it should have shipped! ill just have to move on to my credit card company now, to get my refund.

I agree with you Jay 110%, what are you thinking you stand to gain by acting like this Matt?

You were a good guy in many peoples book, but you shot many holes in that one. If I did not know better I would say you are wanting out of the reptile business, if you are not, you have a crazy way of showing it.

It might be best to take Jay's advice, just see what they say. If not, then just go back and read here how things were and then look how you act now. Then tell everyone it is their problem. Everyone else is not wrong Matt, you changed 100%. I might add it was not for the better, JMHO.
 
In 5 years on this board, I have never seen someone migrate so completely from good guy to bad guy.

It boggles my mind why he would crap all over himself like he has done. It may have been a farce from the begining, but he used to take pride in his reputation, and touted it often. He did not get all of his positive ratings from treating his customers poorly.
What outside factors have contributed to his self-destruction?? :rolleyes:

If you listen to him, he blames his entire downfall on me. I am not sure what I did to hurt him or his business, but I invite him to email the proof to someone who is willing to post it. The truth is, I did nothing more than anyone else, which was to call him out on the customer service issues. All the while I really hoped that he would turn it around. Yes, I saw some of the real Matt that everyone is seeing now very early on when he sent me emails trashing a friend of mine. That was enough for me to stop doing business with him. But I would have let that go and just not done business with him. Instead of fixing the problems as he promised well over a year ago, things got worse. Its a sad downward spiral for someone who was considered such a good guy in the industry.
 
I placed this order back on 03/07/07 and I still have to received my order. He then finially replyed to my email on 03/18/2007(Sunday) stating it would be shipped out Wensday 03/21/2007. NOTHING. I sent him mulpt emails with no response. Finially today he gets back to me saying his waiting on the Rancos and heat tape. how can someone run a March Wow special and not have anything in stock. Know Im having to get serious with him to let him now that I will take action agains his one man show. I give him tell next week to send me my order or i want a refund. I told him I do not care about his Terms and Cond. because he can still be sued and I can file a with Paypal. Im good friends with Repti-Racks as well and I sure he is going to loss his bus. also.

COPY OF EMAILS BETWEEN MATT AND ME.

I don’t care about your TOS you can still be sued and a claim can be filed thru PayPal. You better send my order next week or you will send me a refund. Or I will get a lawyer thru my Bank of America human recourses. Maybe to a class action against your company and get all the people for the faunaclassifiedsforum together to shut your company done.

I would suggest you take this very seriously.

So sad to see that yet Matt has done this to another person. You probably won't see anything for another week or two. He only made up a shipping label using paypal so if you went and put a claim in on him, all he now has to do is give them that tracking # and they will say that is enough proof on their end. They will just close out your claim and they won't give you a refund. Matt knows how to get around PayPal's rules, and comes out in the end looking like he did nothing wrong by them. If you used your credit card or bank card though Pay Pal... you can call your bank or credit card company up and put a claim in against that transaction. Good luck getting your stuff. It seems like he never has anything in stock, unless you order it THEN he has to order the stuff and it takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r!

Keep us updated on how long till you get your stuff or if you can get a refund. Best of luck!
 
I wish I wasn't surprised, and it really doesn't make much sense how Matt hides behind his TOS for his poor service. No refunds? If he hasn't sent any product, how is it a refund? It appears that he just takes people's money hostage until he gets enough money from orders to pay for his products, then orders them to fill his orders.
 
yes, thats what i thought he is buying time to fill my order. He contacted my work tell them I was using my Bus email as pesonal. I already took care of that. Not going go into detials but it all worked out great.
I spoke to my friend Steve from Repti-Rack and he told me the same thing he probably just printed a label so that I could file a claim with paypal. I already done everything I need to do to protect myself I just have to seat and what for the product if it comes in a timely manner or not. I know for a fact I will never do bus. with him ever again. I already have a contact in WV if I dont receive my products.
