My whole story is posted within this entire thread.
What was bought from Bill Rivers: 1- 7foot Female/male Boa
When: 7-1-03
Cost: 4 baby striped ball pythons for 1 Female Boa.
Where: At his house in Copperas Cove, Tx
Email Exchanges: Yes, on my part. After I called and spoke to him about the problem I have not heard from him. I've tried to call, no answer (I guess that caller ID works). He don't respond to any of my emails.
Problem: The snake had a SERIOUS respitory infection and died 2 days after I recieved her/him. Was going to donate to the local college, they didn't want it. Emailed Bill, said come get it if you want it. No reply, chunked the snake in the trash after it was in freezer for 5 days. Still have not heard from Bill. I had to buy meds from my vet (Genticin) 4 shots of it ran me $50, and she died after only 1 shot.
Today after I spoke to a gentleman in C.C. Tx, he said this really didn't suprise him that he did this, since Rivers had done the same to him on a couple of occasions.
He doesn't want to make it right so this is my only course of action.
Apparently 2 of my ball pythons have died within the last 2 days. But I have not heard from Mr. Rivers.
I will make my deal right if in fact he can show me dead baby ball pythons.
It was a clear and sunny morning in Texas when I saw Bill Rivers ad on the angelfire site about a 7 foot female boa. I emailed him, he responded with his phone #. I proceeded to call him and set up a time in which my daughter and myself went to his house to see this boa. Before we left on the 25 mile drive I called Bill and said," I have 4 baby ball pythons that are striped, will you be interested?" He said yes. So I took them. When I was there I wasn't thrilled about how hia animals were kept and even offered a few suggestions. The boa he had for sale/trade made a few wheezing sounds, but they were not to the point of alarm. When I inquired about the wheezing he said he had gotten over (over) a respitory infection. I said cool!
After about 1 hour and 30 minutes at his home my daughter and I left. I already had the enclosure ready for the snake, and when we got home she went in it. Later that day while on the computer I observed him/her and heard a VERY loud wheezing noise. I'm not stupid, she had not gotten over the infection. I called my vet and made an appointment for later that day. He administered Gentimicin( spelling?) And said she would need it 3 more times once every 72 hours. Well the boa never made it that far, she / he died the 2 days after. Bill has failed to respond to me an any fashion. After the snake was in the freezer for 5 days, and no response from Bill, the snake went in the trash. And by the way my trash comes on a Tuesday and Friday every week.
Is this all you want? I can't go any furthur since there is no contact.
