    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Beware of Panther Company

I knew that I had seen that blue Ambanja, Iwo, before and went on the search to find where I had seen him.

My investigating landed me to the Facebook page for the business The Jungle Panther. I immediately recognized the male Iwo on their page as it matched the picture on the link Panther Company posted.

In the ad, which you screenshotted, he looks just like an Nosy Be (even more so than in other pictures).

Maybe he's pure Ambanja -- but they sure LOOK Nosy Be.
 
The final piece of the puzzle was found while I was searching through the classifieds section available here on fauna classifieds.

I ran across a post for Kaepernick x Iwo 4 month old females for sale. The most startling part of the post is that THEY WERE LISTED AS PURE AMBANJA.

We've sold exactly zero Iwo females, presumably because people are aware of the lines and want something looking more associated with the Ambanja locale -- but I will go ahead and remove the ad. I'll relist as presumed crosses.

Panther company, by their own admission has stated that they believe the male Iwo to be a Nosy Be cross. Why would they sell off the males wholesale if they thought them to be pure and could get more money for them?

The fact that they are advertising 4 month of females from this line PROVES that they are intentionally misrepresenting the lines they post for sale as pure bloodlines.

Those of you that are breeders and may have eggs incubating with lines from Panther Company I STRONGLY urge you to look at all the evidence provided here in this BOI and label the offspring appropriately.

No, I disagree with you and have not stated that I in fact believe Iwo to be a cross.

You however do think he is a cross but labeled his offspring as pure anyway.

You do understand this casts a shadow over your whole breeding operation as I have proven that you misrepresent lines as pure when you think otherwise.

Of course it is ultimately up to the people reading this to be the judge, but as for me I have provided sufficient evidence to show you for what you truly are all about.

I don't usually post on here but when I am getting calls about my bloodlines I feel I have to respond. My ambanja lines have created some very vivid blues and that is what I strive for. I don't own any Nosy Be's and I have never been a fan of the paler blues that they are. My breeding stock has come from the Kammers and carefully selected wild caught MALES that easily are distinguished as Ambanjas. I keep impeccable records and haven't made a mistake on selling a "wrong" chameleon. My reputation speaks for itself as well as the Kammers. I spend plenty of time getting the right breeders in my program so it's hard work and I produce outstanding animals as you see in Shauna's bloodline. I trust her completely to continue her great breeding lines.
As far as the accusations from children or people getting started in the business I will give you some advice, You should spend time on your own breeding programs if you want to produce quality pure animals and work on your reputation which is everything in this business. Also keep my name out of your mouths about what you think is pure, you haven't earned the right to say it.

Josh, you are digging a hole deeper and deeper. I said what I needed to say about the situation that happened to me and I let it go until you tried to make it personal by saying my lines are crosses. What does that have to do with this BOI? You are continuously trying to deflect to take the attention off of yourself. The point is not whether or not Josh or I list ours as crosses, the point is that you think IWO is a cross, yet you listed the ambanjas you bred to his females as PURE. So you LIED. AGAIN!!

And no, we won't list ours as crosses, because they aren't. I never doubted Chuck and his lines, he is a stand-up breeder with a reputation far more superior than any of us will ever even dream of having. I spoke to him personally tonight just to let him know that his breeding ethics have been questioned by you, and that you are shaming his lines when he had nothing to do with this.

How can you be so shady? You get caught selling the wrong lineage, then mixing babies up, then labeling something you believe to be crossed as pure.... then to deflect you accuse someone so reputable as dishonestly crossing his lines while you simultaneously use his name to advertise and sell your product? How do you sleep at night?

I didn't accuse him of anything doing dishonest. I did not say I thought they were intentionally crossed. I don't. And, I didn't mention him in the ad with the Iwo clutch -- I mentioned the source of the dam and her sire.

I do think those males look a lot like Nosy Bes. They're quite popular lines nonetheless, as I said earlier here.
