In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Beware of Sara & Michael Clark, BAD GUY

I will ad that Sara herself said the box also had newspaper all over the bottom. She NEVER mentions this in an email. Only a pillow case in a box. No cool packs as i asked, insulated sides, bottom.

Total BS!
Do i need to ask the responding officer to reply to this board and see if that person will? Hell i'll keep putting up proper info. all day and night.

Make jokes. Have fun. You support a scam artist. I have Mike Clarks old addy (i believe) i hopt to find out if/when he lived at that addy in Texas. If that is not the same guy i will let it go with this Michael James Clark from Texas.... but I have a feeling. And that is enough with what has happened for me.

Yea Sara sit here and watch like your husband said under another name (serpentboy) you like to do, like a soap opera, you being involved, you writting for HIM! Yea same MO, same writing in a couple emails to me no doubt from him... sure seems to be the same dude to me.

I'm out.

this is just getting more and more crazy by the minute.

Pammy, did you ever think that MAYBE UPS repacked the snake? Perhaps it was dead because they are not snake experts. Perhaps it was killed in transit and they repackaged him?

It is amazing to me that Pam continues to scream scam, and she has provided very little proof of her claims.

Sara and i talked on the phone about that issue. But when Sara went off on a rant about rushing the snake to UPS without a proper box, her kids held it in the car until they got a box at her mother in laws home and then had to go to the ER i was thinking i don't want to hear this... all i want to know is what the hell happened to this animal.

Then... i call UPS the main facility (as they said) and two others. Every box is scanned. Yea they had to make an adjustment. The weight! Period. UPS gave me that info. before i even said it was a Python in that box. Then they went off about not shipping Pythons. And if they had to modify that box it would have been clear there was an animal in there, stop shipping and notify the shipper!

I have written all this before here. I have told Sara to go back to the UPS drop and see if they have cameras (ours does) recorded and ask to see her entering that building with a white box!
Sara has given me nothing. No police ID for the claim she made. Why? There is not one, i had to call!
They asked me if i wanted a refund (it's in an email here) Nada!

So yea i tried to help her. Bottom line it was Michael Clarks snake i purchased, she would not let me speak with him on the phone.

Nimbus, you're posting off topic and no one wants to here anymore of your kiddy crapola. Your initial thread was reported and Webslave can interpret and decide what your post means to him. That's all that's important.

To me its clear, you stated this site "wasn't going to run well for a while". I'll just say buh bye to you now. It was nice knowing you.

UPS is trying to do their investigation but called me yesterday to tell me that the number Pam gave them was disconnected.

Once they have a police report wrote up I will post it. I haven’t received anything but the cop’s business card.

All I am doing is waiting for some answers from UPS and the Cops. And all I get is threats from Pam. If I counted correctly in my emails I have gotten 5 threats.

1. Animal Cruelty and the head of AC is your good friend so I will be in hot water.

2. Then I’m being sued.

3. Then you are going to follow me around to every ad I post.

4. Then I’m some guy who lives in Texas who doesn’t even have the same name as me. They provided you my old account and everything. My middle name is not James. And I never lived in Texas.

5. You are going to bring down my name so that no one will ever buy from me again.

I did nothing wrong except sell Diablo to a crazy lady!

Nothing of Pam’s makes sense because none of its true. Look at my packaging slip. I talk to UPS yesterday and they told me they reweighed my package at their facility and I have 14 pounds on my box. The weighed it at 16.4. Pam’s telling everyone I charged her for more weight than he was. Okay then why did I charge her $91.71 and I paid $100.03 I’m not out for money I was out to get Diablo a new home where someone would have use for him and time for him. And now he is dead supposedly and I’m out to find out why and who. I could of jumped on this thread and pushed blame towards Pam saying she killed my snake ect…but I didn’t because I think as professionals we should all sit back and wait for the investigation to be done and find out the truth. But I guess that’s the difference between Pam and I.

When I weighed him in my arms I thought he weighed 16 pounds but when I packed him in a box and put that on my scales it was 14.

I feel this thread is totally wrong! There should have been no pointing blame until the investigation was done! Pam knew the investigation would be underway by Monday. The shipment was done Thursday and Friday. By the time Pam had given me some messed up pictures and I talked to her it was Midnight. I called UPS first thing Saturday morning.

Pam did not buy the snake for $127 she bought him for $125 plus shipping and I charged her $91.71.

Here is my bill for shipping him

That's fine and dandy, but the email address you have registered to your account here is no longer valid and you are causing bounce backs. Contact me if you want to have access again to continue with this discussion.

I advise EVERYONE to keep their email accounts current. If you start causing bounce backs, you are likely to get blocked out as well. I consider a valid email address as part of your verifiable registration on this site. If it is temporary or false, then likely so will be other details about you. A word to the wise....

Thats my shipping info. My box was 12x12x8...It says it right there! The box she claims she got is not my box. It wouldn't be hard to take my shipping tag out and tape it to a new box. Please show me this email you sent me before shipping saying you wanted cool packs! Because I would of answered it was 60 degrees in Michigan last week!

If I'm not mistaken, UPS Next Day Air SAVER only guarantees delivery by end of day...for a summertime FL delivery, that's a death sentence.

Again, none of this makes sense! Perhaps seller and buyer can split the expenditures between them and have a "there's something wrong with us" party.

I'm done here!

That's exactly what the tracking info shows, Nemo

I have no desire to wade into anything that happened once the package was delivered, to include original box or not, plastic, animal really dead, name calling, etc, as all those items are in some degree of dispute, silly and otherwise.

However, as a resident of Florida, who also ships to many Florida customers, to ship into this environment in an uninsulated box, which seems accepted fact in this case, is to increase the risk to the animal several-fold. To ship as Next Day Air Saver is to compound that risk further, again several-fold. Not knowing who initated either shipping choice, but if any customer recommended the latter, my first words to them would be "OK, but you lose all live arrival and satisfaction guarantees". While I also would not ship an animal as such, it is better to have the customer change their mind before I refuse their wishes :). As to the former, shipping without insulation in any circumstance, it is poor judgement at best. If the above two circumstances are fact, then the shipper erred enormously.

Wigwag ...

1) Please type the name of whichever person is posting. If Sara Lloyd, as I believe it is, type your name at the end of your posts! If Mike, do likewise. Identify yourself! The Fauna ID is in Michael's name. We have no way of knowing exactly who is responding.

2) I already know all the tracking info .. it was posted quite a while ago, but thanks.

3) I believe Mike's middle name is Lee, not James.

4) Thanks for the info re: police investigation.

I'm probably the crazy one for thinking aloud, but I believe it's highly possible Pam did get a dead snake, despite her highly annoying drama, childish posts and over-acting. Crazy as she may appear, I also don't believe she would buy a snake and then kill it.

I think UPS is probably responsible and they repacked the box after the snake died in transit. I also think the Clarks were remiss in shipping UPS.
In re-reading the original emails from Sara to Pam, she did, in fact, change shipping methods, citing power outages, fuel surcharges, etc. for the reasons.
Well, I went to the FexEx site myself and got quotes for a 14 lb box from Springport to Melbourne. Here are the quotes:

FedEx Standard Overnight = $101.83 Next-business-day afternoon
FedEx Priority Overnight = $111.43 Next-business-day morning
FedEx First Overnight = $143.43 First thing the next-business-day morning

Perhaps Sara (or Mike) does not have a FedEx account. Perhaps that's why she shipped UPS under her "Pure Romance" name. Perhaps the UPS drop-off was closer than a FedEx location. Perhaps Sara misquoted/mischarged Pam and then had to choose the cheapest method possible to mitigate her own out-of-pocket expense for a relative inexpensive snake. Who knows.

I believe UPS was specifically chosen, because obviously FedEx Standard Overnight isn't any cheaper ... and is just as unsuitable, I might add, for shipping a snake to Florida.

I had a 7' Retic. (said dwarf 7 yrs old) i purchased from a Sara and Michael Clark. They had auctions running on Retile Auction. A friend asked me to just check out the site. I had been looking for weeks off and on for another Retic.

I had emailed the seller after a few pictures and some info. was sent to me about the snake, and i wanted to purchase it.

I paid Fedex! After which Sara wrote me and said they wanted a gas charge at Fedex and she was sending the snake UPS. I said not UPS they run late here. If this snake came Fedex as i paid for the delivery would have been at 10:30am. I recieved an email AFTER the snake was at the UPS drop, under her private business name. Pure Romance! From: Michael Clark <[email protected]> Save Address | Headers
Maybe I am off base here, but the bold above says Pam paid for Fed-Ex not UPS just a thought.

Something else of note here. I think it also poor judgement by all parties to have gone with a Thursday ship for Friday delivery. Many shippers, myself included, do not ship past Wednesday, for Thursday AM delivery. This allows for a shipper (as in UPS)screw-up, and for the animal to still be delivered on Friday, with a reasonable expectation or it being OK. Had there been a shipper error here, the buyer was not going to see that box until Monday. And it would have likely been locked on a truck somewhere for most of the weekend. It would have been medium-well by then, and most aromatic.

This shipment was an accident waiting to happen, regardless of any past success shipping like this. It was only a matter of time. Hopefully, we learn from our mistakes :).

Agreed, Jim ... re: Thursday ship for Friday delivery. But that is what Pam wanted. I personally would never request a Thursday ship or accept a seller trying to ship Thursday for Friday, but again..Pam asked for it:

Yes! I just ordered a T-65 Animal Plastics cage for him today.

I would love to have him shipped for Friday morning, so i can stack a few Vision cages around and make room. Let me know what to do next.

Unfortunately, Jim, the snake was beyond medium-well and probably was aromatic, hence the plastic bag. That's what trying to save a few dollars will get you. Poor, poor snake.
