• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok Im Am Truly Sorry To Anyone That Had Trouble Reading Any Of My Threads. Cat That Whole Thing Was Really Dumb And I Especially Am Sorry To You. However, If You Go To The Boa Discussion Forum And Click On The Thread Titled "freakin Out" By Ed Clark You Will See In His First Post His Caps Are On Lock And All His Letters Are Uppercase, But In His Next Post His Letters Are Printing Exactly The Same Way As Mine. If I Knew How To Quote Him I Would. Im So Glad I Found That Cause I Know No One Believes Me. Now Theres Proof It Does Happen, Again Im Sorry For The Confusion And For Going Off Topic Even Though Im Sure It Was Pretty Entertaining....

well i just got an e-mail from r.r they pretty much told me to go screw myself they are not going to give me anything, they only offer live arrival and they got here alive and thats as far as they garuntee anything..

Is this the same snake I inquired to you about "WHO" on the other site?

Did you read and accept their TOS/guarantees? Do people even ask for them? Seems like a good and very simple practice to me. Then when you hear them say, "I only guarantee live arrival" you say "NO THANKS" and go elsewhere. Those are BS guarantees. Any remotely healthy boa will last a couple weeks for sure. If it's healthy, it will last even longer. Even refusing food!

Sorry you got had. Beware of shady or less than honorable guarantees. "all sales final" "live arrival only" etc. Not saying all who sell under these circumstances are shady, but it is a warning sign to Me.

crotal, i made it very clear to them i wanted a health garuntee.....
well of course they said they would give me one.. and obviously when i had issues they couldnt help me... and called me a looser.....they told me i would recieve, live arrival garuntee.,a 7 day health garuntee, and a gentetics garuntee...

but they are scammers...they never had any intensions on folling thru...
only on stealling my money..

Didn't by chance happen to get that in a email conversation did you? Phone calls are hard to prove much.

It just occurred to me I am too generous. I shall have to work on my TOS. LOL

Rick

they didnt like to email... i have posted the emial of them tellin me to go f*** myself and calling me a looser....they prefer to do everything over the phone .....that way u have no proof

Hope that learned you something. ;)
Personally, I wouldn't deal with someone who couldn't answer a simple email. But, being screwed once or twice myself has made me more suspicious I guess. LOL

My recent experience I'm posting on all related threads:

How are these people still in business!? Worse, how did I not see these threads before I became another victim? I was a victim of the Mr Peanut alias...I received 4 snakes; all were horribly packed, starved, sick, and dehydrated. I'm trying to rehabilitate them the best I can, but one has a fairly advanced RI and another is yet to keep down a meal. Of course, no responses to my emails. When I first offered the snakes water, it was amazing how long they drank. I've owned snakes for years and never seen them drink as much as these did. It's just sad for the snakes' sake and, for my sake, pisses me off! What is wrong with these people and how can we stop them?

The Reptile Ranch is now doing business as Mr. Peanut!

I wasn't sure which thread I should bump, but the title of this one seemed to fit perfectly.

The Reptile Ranch currently has ads running on Kingsnake under the name "The Reptile Company". I did a google search on the phone number (408) 847-7008 and it came back as The Reptile Ranch. Hopefully people will see this before it's too late. These people need to get out and stay out of the reptile business.

I have a screen shot of one of their ads but it's too large to upload. Here is a link to the ad:

Hopefully someone can get a screen shot and resize it before they delete all of their ads.

Here you go....

Actually, that's not true. The Reptile Ranch sold their Gilroy store and the new owners kept the phone number and changed the name to The Reptile Company. The Reptile Ranch moved to the town of Los Banos about an hour from Gilroy. The Reptile Company also moved a few blocks from their original location, but they are two different businesses.

I live relatively close and have visited both locations in Gilroy. I can't say how reputable the new owners are, but they shouldn't be associated with the Reptile Ranch. However, I did notice that the conditions of the new store weren't the greatest when I visited them about a year ago. They had a couple Ball Pythons in a 10 Gallon with no hides and apparently no heat, and some of the cages were dirtier than they should have been, but most of the animals seemed to be taken care of. They were still in the process of arranging the store, so hopefully most of the issues have been taken care of by now.

Mis information please read

The Reptile Ranch was sold. It is no longer even located at the same address.
The reptile Ranch is located near Hollister, Ca. (cant remember the town).
I have been to The Reptile Company and it's owned by I believe 2 young guys and looks clean and animals appear healthy.

I know this because I went to the old business (reptile Ranch) awhile back and it was empty and I went to the new store after reading the sign in the window (The Reptile Company).
Just thought I would give a heads up before people start bashing them without updated facts.

If I am mistaken, then my bad. It must really suck to have the same phone number as the Reptile Ranch, being in the reptile business, and less than a mile away from the Reptile Ranch's old location.

Seriously, someone might want to notify them of the reputation of the previous owners, if they don't already know...Maybe it'll give'em some motivation to not follow suit...

seems odd that one cannot locate their business name in the CA business search either as a corporation or a LP/LLC. To run a business like a pet store I believe have to have a legally registered name.
