In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Blaze Garrett snake paid for not in the shipment with others.....

My Verdict is in

I really feel awful when people get screwed...especially people that are innocent and trusting - and who are relatively new to this "hobby". Sadly, it normally doesn't take long for the trust we initially bring with us, to be lost, when we have our first interaction with the lowlifes and scammers who lurk on the fringe.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've heard enough to form an opinion. I believe that the OPs are good, honest, trusting people who have been victimized. Does anyone really think that the OPs are pulling a move here? I don't. It's clear to me that they (OP) are relatively new to all this...read the thread(s). OPs have respectfully responded to all suggestions made, and have not been defensive or inconsistent. It appears they honestly don't know how to handle getting screwed...and they came to BOI only after being blindly directed by someone in their home herp society.

Seller has adopted the "Deny, Deny, Deny" defense and is counting on OPs not being able to prove their case. This stuff makes me sick

Dave Riley,

I haven't seen a post where the OP is "new" to this hobby, and how do you know they are innocent and trusting people? Do you know them? Are they friends of your's?

"especially people that are innocent and trusting - and who are relatively new to this "hobby"

What I have a problem with, is, the UPS guy stayed while the box was opened and was informed that a snake was missing.

How did the UPS guy know how many snakes were supposed to be in the box? Did the labeling on the outside of the box state a number of animals enclosed? And did the OP open the box and count the number of snakes in front of the UPS driver? Did the OP pull them out of the bags to show the UPS driver? And moreover, just because the UPS guy notated on his "handheld" that the customer stated a snake was missing, what does that prove? It proves NOTHING. The OP could have told the UPS driver to notate that a diamond broach was missing in the box as well! Just because UPS made a note of the customers claims, does not mean it's true.

The verdict is NOT in, there's more to this, because it smells a mile away.

One thing that I find odd about this. Before I say it, I just want to let everyone know that I am not taking any side. Just pointing something out.

Anna or Kelly, are you in the habit of opening every package that you receive via, expedited delivery service, (UPS, FedEx or DHL) in front of the delivery driver or was this the first time? It just seems odd to me, if this is the first or only time you have done this, that there happened to be a problem.

It seems to me that you were kind of expecting a problem?!?!

If I am way off, then please disregard!

Yep, what I said! I think you posted while I was reading and typing! LOL!

By the way, that image was taken in 2006.

Just to clarify this That picture wasn't taken in 2006. I don't think I was even into ball pythons in 2006. You have to set a time and date which I don't do. I have to replace the batteries about every 2-3 weeks and just don't get around to it.

Blaze,
I wouldn't doubt Alicia,, I think there's a "time stamp" embedded in the photo that tell's when the photo was taken.

I'd really like to say somethings to you but unfortunatlly this site prohibits that sort of thing. What I will say is who are you to say anything negative about me??? You don't even know me. I have had many good dealing in the past and because somebody smears my name on the internet your going to call me a scammer??? You say that I am playing the deny game but, how is that??? I did live up to my word and I did send them the albino. Why am I going to do a scam for a measly $500. So I get questions on what happened when future potential buyers contact me? Potentially keeping about $2500 a year worth of sales weary of me. I can assure you I'm much smarter than that.

I bought the snake from Charlotte from the late Ectothermics during the time her and her husband were breaking up. I really don't think it was 2006. Besides the carpet in the photo was from the house I'm in now.

Care to post another photo that you took with todays date in the image? It would help prove your point.

If it wasn't taken in 2006, then what you're suggesting is that it is a default date/time stamp that the camera loads into exif data.

And by your own admission that you do not set the accurate time and date into your camera due to the batteries running out every 2-3 weeks,, then all of your pictures have the same date and time stamp.

So...if anyone has any other photos of animals Blaze has for sale, they can look at the exif data and it should be the same date/time stamp as what Alicia found.

However if the dates of those photos are different....then Blaze would be lying.

Anyone have anymore picture of animals that blaze may currently be offering for sale (or had for sale) to check the date/time stamps?

I did three four different images all coming up with the 2006 date.

Thank you Alicia.

Well...obviously he wasn't lying about that. But someone is lying, and I do hope that they both understand that eventually the truth is going to come out. Whoever has that snake should really come clean now.

I also pulled EXIF data from random photos at Blaze's Photobucket account.
Got the same '06 date as Alicia.

Just out of curiosity, what relevance would the date on my pictures have on this??? I now fell like people are just trying to prove I'm lying about something. Sorry to tell you but, nobodies gonna catch me... I have nothing to lie about.

I seem to remember presidential candidate Gary Hart saying something along the same lines. Keep repeating phrases like that in this thread, and you know what happens?:shootfoot

I am not sure about the photo dates.....I am just catching up on the thread today. Blaze I am wondering why you don't address me much. I sent an email to you personally and never got even a response. Kelly and I again offer that we will not hold it against you for forgetting to pack the albino male and I am positive from the responses here that people would look kindly on your sending him to us.
We are not the kind of people to hold a grudge if a person made a mistake and corrects it. That is not to say we will hold a grudge in any instance. I can tell you however that when my kids came home from school that day excited to see the snakes, I was crying, we only had five delivered and we had already been told by you that we were suspect.
I did in good faith as you asked us to and provided you will UPS info. I do understand that is 50/50 on that being proof for others and yourself being in the 50% that do not think it is proof....What else can we do for you? I asked you to even go to our Myspace to put faces to the people you were dealing with in such a unfriendly manner. I complimented you on your beautiful little daughter and spoke with you about my little grandson. These things were to show you who we are and to try to show you that you could correct the mistake and we would never treat you differently.

I really don't know what else to say, other that repeat again, we will not make you feel terrible and would gladly take this thread to "good guy" if this is allowed on the site. Please send the snake or refund the amount stated on the invoice.

Thank you all again,

Anna Croffoot

Thank you Shawn for your addition to the tread. I am glad the person on CRIS sent us over. I have learned a ton just reading others threads in info type forums about the ball pythons and the corn snakes. My husband and I have found this site to have many helpful forums and are sorry that we had to start out with you folks in the forum we are now on.

We continue to hope and pray from resolution of our missing snake.
