In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Bridge Dragons -http://www.thebridgekicks.com - STOLE MY MONEY!

Sweet! I'll take em!

I don't know about any of you but I get a real uneasy feeling about both parties. Maybe its just me but I would gladly gamble ten bucks for the opportunity to come out smelling like a rose.

I don't know...some of us are willing to go quite far to keep our names from being tarnished. Just by keeping both, the buyer has let herself be put in this position (BG post). Now, she has to be concerned with public opinion on how she ends it.

After all, there is an ethical aspect to the whole transaction that doesn't look good on either side (again, this was pointed out). Now if Randi did go beyond and over (to satisfy a reverse customer) to ensure that her own customer service was above reproach she could come out ahead.

But 10.00 and an hour out of 24 is a LOT to have to do to rectify someone else's mistake (not to mention the "someone" is considered "sleazy," "dishonest," a "scammer," etc...) I can totally understand.., not.

However, legally, Randi is in the right... as has been pointed out.

It doesn't appear to me that the shipping cost or the time involved have anything to do with why Randi hasn't sent them back. I don't think anyone in their right mind would ship an animal without knowing if anyone knows it's coming. The idea that Randi should just keep them and pay Wendy anything for them is just rediculous too in my opinion.

I agree. If the critters die because they were not expected, there's a whole new can of worms (should the buyer then pay), and the seller will be here in a New York minute wailing about how she was out of town and came home to dead roaches, or some such.

I think the buyers email to the seller was perfect. It gives the required time and notice, and if the seller ignores, the buyer can do as he wishes with the order that the seller chose not to arrange a return for.

One suggestion might be to donate the roaches to a reptile rescue, the buyer said he has 10,000 dubia already and he may not want any more. It would be fine too if he kept them.

A rescue would be perfect. I am sure there is one near him.

Okay folks so Wendy's mother Jeane responded back to my email. She responded back from a different account then the one I emailed meaning Wendy had her do it rather than doing it herself. Jeane also sent me $7.50 to ship the roaches back.

Be sure to get her to publicly acknowledge that she knows their may be deaths involved and she's OK with that and have her state that she will not hold you responsible for those losses. If she doesn't do that, don't send the roaches.

I'm trying to set-up shipping for tomorrow.

What are some opinions on shipping back at Jeane's request rather than Wendy's herself.I made the transaction with Wendy not Jeane. Is that okay to do?

I wouldn't have anything to do with anyone other than the person you made the deal with.

The public acknowledgement of possible deaths also needs to be addressed or she will make a mess of it for you.

These are not trustworthy women.

Are their addresses different? I would send them back to the return address on the box. Let them work out that $7.50. lol

Okay well I emailed Jeane and told her I need Wendy to email me giving consent to ship. She plays dirty so I'm not going to ship at anyone's request but Wendys. I will also acknowledge possible deaths to her. Thank You

I haven't checked the addresses yet but I'm definitely shipping it back to the address on the box. I'm also asking if she wants it held at the location for pick-up.

I really learned a lesson with this one!! It's a good learning experience though for future situations and transactions. Also, in my opinion, this thread turned into a positive for me. It gave me a chance to correct past mistakes and interact with some good people in the community. Thanks for everyone's advice and help whether good or bad. It's much appreciated.

what kind of a dragon am I ?

Thanks Ed I appreciate it! Eveything went well.I still haven't heard from Wendy herself. Her mother Jeane had replied to my e-mail and also sent me the shipping cost via PayPal. I shipped them backed and that was the last I heard.

Randie, how did the shipping back go. are you and Wendy even Steven now?

Hope all went well.
