OK, first off I would like to apologize to everyone on this thread for not resonding quicker. I work 60 hours a week and have a large reptile collection that I tend to. 2nd the reason I have not posted the Vet bill I have in hand is because I don't know how to do this (post items) on threads. This is all new to me. I would not be even posting if Keith did send me a healthy turtle to begin with. I am going to contact the Vet's office this week to see if I can get a detailed exam report. If anyone on this thread is willing to help me post these papers, i would appreciate that. It will show the turtle was ill and came in sick. Wait, I have a great idea, Keith why don't I send you the paper work (exam/bill) and you can post them for me. You do a great job posting and that would benefit both of us and clear up this Vet matter. The other matter that I would like to address is that I have a lot of knowledge on the snapping turtle species. After 52 years I I might have learned something. I know all baby turtles come with soft shell edges that disappears when they grow and get their Vitamin A and calcium intake. Now let me explain Keith's turtle. The day it came in I removed it from the shipping box to examine it. That's when I noticed the whole shell and it's edges were as soft as a Gummy Bear left in the sun. I then placed the turtle into a hospital tank or (quarantine tank). Upon placing the turtle in the tank a large amount of bubbles came out it's nose and mouth, blocked air passage. All turtle people know that is a bad sign. I kept checking on the turtle all day long and the next day the turtle never moved from the spot I placed it in with it's chin lying on the bottom of the tank. That showed me it was lethargic, a very bad sign. I then decided to treat this turtle myself, raise the temperature to 80 degrees, water changes daily with zero water, tried to feed it, would only eat small bits of Kale. That stopped after 3 days. I tried force feeding with a syringe crushed reptromin, calcium powder, vitamin supplement, the turtle got worse. A trip to the Vet at $137.00, injections, more medication. I think everyone can see the picture here. Now the reason why I did not call Keith is quite evident by his posts here. Probably a response of "when I shipped that turtle it was healthy" or the use of the other word I have learned that he has mastered. Yep, Yep, Yep. Keith 22 years experience and you thought that shell was ok. Let's face it Keith, you saw I was an easy mark, out of state, oh what can he do or know. What recall did I really have. I trusted you, you stated you would send me a great turtle. In the months of Sept. and Oct. I purchased a total of 8 snapping tutrles including yours for a total sum of $700.00. Would a person that did not know what he was doing spend that type of money? I think not. I offered to send you the Vet paperwork to post, the ball is in your court. Laura B, I would like to thank you very very much for your post. That brought out some true colors. I knew there was more to this guy (Keith). I just could not put my fingers on it. I would like to state one more time I am a hobbyist, not a scammer or cyber bully or looking for a free turtle. And I will state again that I don't want another turtle or any sums of money back from you Keith. I told you that on the phone call. I just want JUSTICE and LET THE BUYER BEWARE.
