    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Carson Phelps, anyone done recent business with him

I believe Andrews story. All you have to do is look back through older B.O.I reports. If compared to the rating system on ebay he would not be in the 90's. I know 2 people that have not had look with him. That tells me to stay away if he won't take responsibility and take care of his customers that have problems with animals that he sold them. Everyone who has posted has had good luck with his animals. That doesn't mean that he doesn't have problem animals because we all had.
 
Please mention the 2 people or have them come here and provide proof. Otherwise, saying 2 people had issues means nothing

I don't think people necessarily think you are making things up, it's just standard for the BOI that if you come here making a claim that you've had a problem with a seller, people are going to ask for proof (emails with headers, screenshots of text messages, pictures). That's what makes the BOI such a useful resource. It helps get an accurate idea of what actually happened, instead of just he said/she said...

Where was the snake during the car ride and how was it contained (deli container, bag, insulated box)?

You also need to inform Carson that your posting in the BOI against him so he can come on here and defend himself. One sided stories are always different than two sided ones. I never called you a liar, but if you have negative stuff to say about someone then you need to back it up as well as give them the courtesy of letting them know the issue is being brought up.

It should be a trustworthy world and Leave it to Beaver land, unfortunately, its not these days. If someone comes on here and says, I know these two people that have had this experience with the subject of this thread, it measn nothing without devulging true, factual info and having them come on here with that documentaion. Otherwise, its hearsay third party indirect involvemnt. I have never met nor even know Carson, nor the OP. Im simply stating what would help out this thread, is factual documentation, as well as from the "two other people you know".

Anonymous third party quotes/information are not allowed on the BOI.
 
I looked at his statement when it was made, and didn't feel it quite hit the threshold for anonymous third party quotation - he knows somebody that had a bad experience...he didn't detail the person's experience, didn't relay things he was told, etc. Without corroboration from the "injured party", the statement itself doesn't mean a whole lot, though.
 
That actually was my first thought. Kinda like court, usually mentioning any third party involvment is thrown out and without merit.

Carson must have a pretty big family to have this much positive feedback. Other readers know we truly had good experiences with him because speaking for myself I wouldn't risk losing a good reputation over lieing about a transaction. If someone does me wrong and others are asking about that person then I'm going to expose them. And just because people have good transactions with someone doesn't mean they can't make a mistake or do someone wrong which is why the BOI comes in handy but its up to each person to use it correctly and I'd say the mods/members on here do a top notch job keeping things honest :thumbsup:

Yeah I'm not real sure about this whole thing.......at first you come on here and say "I believe Andrew" and now your on nickname status calling him Andy and posting pictures for him? Of course you believe him because your obviously his friend or relative. All you guys had to do was come on here and tell the whole story and post proof but it just seems like there's things that aren't being told and things don't add up.
 
Ok here's the breakdown on mr.opshinsky Mojave het ghost. I'll starting from the beginning once in a while I'll post bread and butter morphs on Craigslist. So I get a text message on Friday not sure of the exact date. We discuss a few morphs and mr opshinsky decides that he would like to buy a 2011 spider male and a 2011 Mojave %100 het ghost. So now I'll fast forward to Monday when I met mr opshinsky. So I packed up both snakes in containers with holes (pre punched) and I meet mr.opshinsky in his work truck (box truck). He looks at the snakes and everything good to go. 3 hours later I get a call say the 2012 Mojave het ghost is dead. I thaught he was joking at first but he sent me a picture. So we go back and forth about it and I ask all kinds of questions. so I believe that he put the containers in the back of the box truck and cooked the snake. Remember there was 2 snakes one was around 350 grams and the other was a baby had around 4 meals (70 grams or so) being in the back of the box truck the baby couldn't take the heat like a bigger snake. So we discussed it more and mr. opshinsky says I'm glad I didn't put them in the back of the truck like i was going to. I had a container back there for them. I ever tried to give them water (while there in the truck). Now those 2 things really didn't sit well with me. Why would u try and give 2 snakes water u just bought while your own the road. I believe they over heated and he was trying to cool them off. The picture he sent me of the Mojave het ghost the aspen was wet so he dumped the water on the snake. As we talk some more he says how about you just give me half the money back. Now if the snake died in your care for no fiscal reason why would u take half the money. So I told him when I have some more low end morphs available I'll let u know and will figure out something. Even tho I would put my life on it the snake died from over heating. He even texted me the other day and said I seen good things about u on fauna and id like to get more snakes. That he was going to go to white plains this weekend and he's rather save the trip and pick up more snakes from me. I asked him what he was looking for and he said pin Female and a few other morphs I didn't have available and I told him when I have a list of lower end snakes I'll let u know. I'm not trying to beat someone out of $125 dollars there was just a few things that didn't sit rite with me. And even tho I believe the snake died from overheating I'll take of mr opshinsky when I have some lower end morphs. Or if he wants something higher end I'll give a discount
 
Is the top pic the Mojave het Ghost ?? Im not a big ball python guy, but I dont see anything Mojave in that snake, unless the ghost stuff makes it look a little different. Damn, looks pastel to me. Something isnt right with this and what "happened" to the snake
