    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

@ Ansli- That was SO SO nice of you to offer to help with shipping! I paid for shipping already once, and dont feel like paying for it again (or having someone else pay for it:eek:). Also even though I still occasionally look back at his/her little picture:eek: (ya I do sometimes:rolleyes:) I have accepted the one I recieved, and actually really like him, so I've tried to put the other one out of my mind.

If Broderick would like to send him/her to me, I would gladly accept:yesnod: and in return I'd give some good words in a good guy thread for him;). But I dont want ANYONE giving any money to someone we dont quite trust yet.

You know, though I agree that Broderick's bona fides have not been 100% established just yet, I also agree with Justine that the behavior he has shown here in dealing with this inquisition is EXTREMELY different from what Chad showed initially, so I've personally seen enough.

Broderick- I'm going to put my money where my mouth is. I thought breifly about buying once of these cresties, but really got enough of my own right now and so instead I'd be happy to help reimburse your expenses towards whatever Chad charged for Tara's gecko, you if you'll please send Tara's gecko to her.

I think the problem is, Broderick, knowingly or unknowingly, possibly bought "hot" geckos, and outstanding debt, that may not have been presented in the purchase. There are several folks that are still out either animals, or money, and they are frustrated because they feel like they have no recourse here. The old "negative goodwill" from Chad will be hard to clear up until his past customers are somehow satisfied -- whether that's Broderick getting the money from Chad, or shipping the geckos that were already bought, or what.

When you buy a full-blown business like an INC or a LLC, legally, you buy its assets AND its debts. I know this wasn't that formal a transaction, but Broderick got some oustanding 'debt', so to speak, in the deal that it sounds like he wasn't fully informed of.

He stated above that he's willing to work with Jerseygirl to get her the gecko she paid for, and give it to her. I think that's a very good step toward a positive reputation and if it goes through and the transaction goes smoothly, then I see no reason to hold Chad's previous actions against Broderick. It's clear he's willing to work with people to settle disputes, so if people would go to him with a level head and ask instead of blame I think things will go much better.

Well this thread appears to be turning out much better than expected. I'm pretty excited that Tara may get her gecko after all and hopefully we haven't scared Mr. Vanwyn completely out of the Rhac. Community.

I wish Chad could have been a wee bit more upfront and shared this thread with you. I'm sorry you had to get caught on the wrong end of us wanting to prevent other people from getting screwed.

That almost looks like nipping from a cagemate - either that or the stuck shed. Either way a good sauna is in order!

That definitely looks like the gecko, though. I'm glad this is turning out for the better!
 
Tara and Broderick- please LMK once Tara's gecko has arrived safe and sound and I'll follow through with the other part of my apology for raking Broderick across the coals like I have.

It's OK, Tara, I consider it part of my apology to Broderick for raking him across the coals.

For the record- he declined the offer the first time around via PM, too. :thumbsup:

I told him I think he handled himself admirably through all of this, and I don't think it's fair that he be screwed by Chad any more than he already has.

I think it would really help Broderick's rep if you did accept the gecko, just to show that he is willing to give away an animal to make sure the customer (customer that he personally didn't deal with) is happy. I'll pitch in a few bucks toward shipping too.

(And thank you to whoever gave me bad karma for being the voice of reason in a BOI thread that actually has a resolution in sight. Stay classy.)
