Chad's not stupid and, when it comes to things that aren't subjective, he's usually not wrong. Add an element of opinion to an issue though and all bets are off, anything he says has to be filtered through his personality to find anything useful at the bottom of it.

That being said... it's usually worth the shoveljob to find out what he was trying to say, even if it ends up being disagreeable when the real meat is reached. Another in a long, long line of "Sure, he's an ass but if you can ignore that he's usually worth the effort." kind of guys... not unlike how Wes has been categorized in the past (Hell, me too).

The only question I have here is about the motivation for his posts. If it's just Chad not liking someone, then it's a monumental waste of time. If he's got some kind of hard information that he just wants everyone to jump through hoops for and shower him with praise for uncovering, then it *might* be worth the patience needed in dealing with him. Don't look at me for it though, when he gets this wound up over a subject and has an audience it takes hours of attention and effort.

This is why I am always sure to include the part about me "feeling it", because I don't want anyone mistaking my personal opinion with fact...However I do believe that I have the resources to scrounge up some population density studies that may be applicable in this instance. If it's really worth it to anyone, I'll spend some time looking. You are also correct when you state that I am mad because they are closing the road. I'm glad that someone finally acknowledged this instead of just shrugging it off as being mad for someone else...

Richie I have literally spent the past four days writing ALL 31 legislaters by email and I've even written three typed snail-mailed letters to various senators including my own. I have taken a very active stance in stopping this law. It is worded at this point to include all wildlife regardless of whether or not a gun is used...I am truly hopeful that enough herpers will organize (we've done a pretty good job of it so far) to change the general nature of the wording in the act. Addionally Richie, I came here to chastise Justin because of his unethical activity and because it has finally effected me.

I believe that we have reached a point where greed will not be accepted when it's at the expense of the wildlife we love. This is why I've launched this small campaign. It's about more than Justin...I feel that even though a vocal minority has risen against me in this thread, anyone who is actually objective and nuetral will see my points and hopefully that will inspire them to cease any business relationships with folks who commercially collect.

I am not good at politics and I don't work well with euphamisms, but I truly care about the herps that I love...Not to sound too idealistic, but I'd like it if we'd stop thinking about ourselves and think about future generations. Herps are a renewable resource so we can collect them in moderation, but if people are unfairly and greedily exploiting them...We may not be able to enjoy them in the same sense we do now.

Just got an email back from a friend..Chad did you know what you doing could be considered criminal harrassement in fact it could be a felony. Contacting law enforcement to purpousfully lie and harm a person and/or buisness by giving false or inaccurate information is a felony in this state and yours too. Repeativly using this forum , and the nature of these post the fact you proven you have motive is a continuation of that harrassment and may not be protected by free speech. I am no lawyer but guess what you wanted to start some shit , you got it..Someone get me this guys address..Monday I am going to pay 100 to a cheap attorney and have him give a call to our District Attorney and to contact TPW and get a copy of any accusation you have made. Justin...As an individual who is interested in law, I took it upon myself to research your claims...According to KS Law under Chapter 21., PART II.--PROHIBITED CONDUCT,Article 34...Harassment is defined as the following...

""Harassment" means a knowing and intentional course of conduct directed at a specific person that seriously alarms, annoys, torments or terrorizes the person, and that serves no legitimate purpose."

In law, folks refer back to old cases in which they can glean knowledge that can be appliccable to the currect case. This is known in latin as "Stare Decisis" and it's a fundemental part of practicing law. Well, after doing a bit of research on previous cases of online harassment in KS...I discovered that "legitimate purpose" can be defined in such a way as to include my purpose of creating this post...Which was to make the public aware of your unethical activites. Because the matter of ethics is so subjective, it wouldn't be hard to plead a case in my defense.

While I was at it, I took the initiative to look up a few things on threats and harassment...Here's what I found under Kansas law...

"Credible threat" means a verbal or written threat, including that which is communicated via electronic means, or a threat implied by a pattern of conduct or a combination of verbal or written statements and conduct made with the intent and the apparent ability to carry out the threat so as to cause the person who is the target of the threat to reasonably fear for such person's safety. The present incarceration of a person making the threat shall not be a bar to prosecution under this section."

So under that definition, this would be considered a threat...

Especially given the information that you provided about your violent history. I don't know you at all and I take threats like that very seriously.

You posted to that thread and dug up something that was five years old because of something you FEEL. All because it finally affected YOU.

Go try to retrieve any info that I have given TPWD, you will fail. You can consider it my objective nature that stopped me from pursuing it as I stated...So you can get your panties out of a bunch. The truth is that you probably could try to get me for harassment, you'd definately fail and I've already confirmed this with my family lawyer (who isn't cheap at all like yours, lol). My family conducts hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business a year so we have him on retainer. I didn't really have to clue you in to the fact that I haven't really contacted the authorities because I could easily mount a defense with little work on my part...But I think you've worried enough.

I've read through the thread a bit more and I believe that if what you say is true regarding your collection practices (not collecting 50-70 male Collared Lizards from a single population, but instead collecting them from a wide area), I can digress a bit. But I still have a serious personal problem with your proffitting from these animals.
