If the op can't provide any proof that the other party claimed the male to be a double het BEFORE the trade took place this one's a wash in my opinion. It looks to me to be a misunderstanding. Thomas Clarke, can you give an approximate value of what the op thought he was getting and what he actually got?
Well lets not call it a wash. Anthony did provide proof of genetics in a screen shot. In TWO separate e-mails.
While Chris was at a loss?
And on the Approx. Value on the dragons. I can tell you what
I think there worth. But in another breeders eyes it could be worth more or less. So thats where the buyer has to think the price is reasonable or not. Not what one or another breeder may "quote the price on the dragon". As some breeders are
ALOT higher than others.
Don't get your panties in a wad. You posted the info you had now it's up to the readers to make up there own mind about the situation. I'm not ready to call either one of you a liar.
Uh, either Chris forgot or he did kinda lie.
If you go back and read, Chris said. " i didnt state that male was het for anything".
Anthony ...look in the emails again I never said the juvi was dbl het I called it juvi leather male..
Thanks
CK
Because Chris didnt have the e-mail that said the genetic's. THEN Anthony provides two separate e-mails where Chris states that it was a double het. then where its a 100% hypo and 50% trans.
How do you forget that you sent genetic's on that dragon in Nov. But two days ago Chris state's the dragon wasnt a het for anything.
This statement does it for me. FWIW, I don't care so much about the 100/100 or 100/50 (although I think the way Chris answered this issue has been shady), you got a 0/0 and he admitted fault above.
Factoring in losses due to time and hatch results seems reasonable, but is hardly (if ever) reimbursed. I don't think you have much hope here (particularly with the 'good season' and 'thinking about selling' what he apparantly offered in trade).
I wish you two luck in getting this resolved.
Admitting fault before the boi thread was even started. Then willing to do a het male for the het male that didnt prove out.
Why say you will send him a dragon. Then later come on here and say I have no e-mail that says the dragon was het. When Anthony clearly had TWO of them.
Then the extra time to feed, raise, breed, and then hatch the babies. Im not saying give this guy a hypo trans leather, since he didnt get to produce any. But there is almost year to make up for.
Just wanted to apologize for coming at you so hard about the emails but I am happy you posted them. Sorry but please understand it was for a good reason.

You came on alittle strong. BUT you were on to something. In 90% of other cases. I think you would have had some one's.

. I applaud you for your keen eye. But maybe you learned not to come on so strong next time. I have been over everything with Anthony before he posted this thread. First he had to convince me, and im a tough cookie. After I seen the text and e-mails. I knew he had a solid case.
I am also glad he is helping you out. Personally, I would pay for shipping if I chose not to drive because it appears he's giving you more than the original deal for your troubles. I thinking meeting and shaking hands would go a long way though.
Me too this will separate Chris from the true "bad guys". But what about his genetic's. Chris seems to be totally lost when posting his genetic's?
One other question that I may have missed the answer to. Are all the babies you produced double hets?
yes, the leather to the visual hypo trans morph.
and if he bred it to the trans het hypo he has. there 100% het trans and maybe 25% het hypo. beings the mom is a trans het and the dad is a normal.
I did drop in to read thread from time to time to stay updated, and the reason I didn't comment on the thread was I need to stay focused on the real issue and not get side tracked. On top the all the other stuff that needs to be done day to day, getting all worked up in BOI ain't for me.
I'll take full responsibility for my mistake, no problem, said that from day one. I understand it don't matter what I think at this point, I just need to make right.
This is my first time dealing with this so I thought the industry standard would be swapping out males, plus then when Anthony does produce the genetics he wanted, it would have squashed this idea that I misrepresent my animals genetics.
Where I'm at with with my hobby/small business I can do better than the standard, and should have from the start.
After reaching out to Anthony, I think we have resolved what we found as fair. I offered him the red leather female(pic below) and he can keep male he raised up from baby as he has worked hard to get to this point.
I'm willing to meet you and give you your dragon face to face as I think it'd be easier on the dragon as your only 1 hr away.
we can work it out-
Thanks
Chris Kopecky
Hey Dave, if this is the 'BAD GUY' hat your talking about, I could use one....
As I said this will separate you from the true "bad guys" and someone who excepted there mistakes. An willing to make it right. For a future reference if you would have kept the deal where you sent the female when you said you did. You would never had this thread posted about you. Even though you do make it right. Unfortunately it will cost you sales in the future. Selling "hets" that dont prove out, will put you outta business.
I do hope that you have or will get your genetics straight. Maybe now you see how important it really is to know what your breeding.
