    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Chris contacted me earlier this evening on fb asking about one of my snakes for sale. Thankfully my man read this thread so I know to stay away from him.

And Justin, I know it's a long shot, but I hope this all works out for you.
 
UPDATE!

Last night after lud3au posted the Craigslist advertisement of Chris's, my wife took the initiative to Call Mr. Salada. The long and short of it is they came to the conclusion that it was time to put this thing to bed. Chris told us that the Carpet I was promised in trade had since died, and we came to the conclusion that 150 dollars would be sufficient to wrap this thing up.

As of this morning Chris has sent me $100.00 and says I will have the remainder in a few days.

Looks like he is gonna make good on this!
 
I just want to say that you are FAR more patient and forgiving than I would have even considered being.

Did he ever complete the payment as promised?
 
Yes sir that he did, just earlier this week he sent the remaining balance. I apologize for not updating I just honestly haven't had time. I am happy to have all this behind us and it be over
 
Glad to see you received your settlement Justin. It sucks you had to go through this and fight for what is yours, but also glad you and your wife did not give up! I hate seeing bad things happen to good people and the name Salada won't be forgotten soon.

Chris, I hope you take this as a valuable life lesson and understand that this community sticks together like no other. I would take this as an opportunity to better yourself, the next person may not be as nice (or as sane!).
 
Chris I am unsure what you mean by your last comment? I did as I said and let everyone know you had payed in full and transaction was complete. If there is a problem with what I said or something else needs to be discussed please let me know. I would be more than glad to help with any other problems
 
I meant what I said thank you for saying that I paid you, because you didn't even have to do that much. As for everyone else who commented, ok I messed up, Ill own that! Now I tried to make it right, and believe me it was a lesson learned and money lost, however its still making me lose money. I have someone about ot buy a snake and they see this and are hesitant. So does this follow me for ever, if it does it sends the sign that hey if you screw up, its better to not even try to make it right because your viewed the same as you where. Regardless Im glad I made it right, and never had any intentions not to.
 
Chris this will always be on Fauna. It's up to you to show your customers that you have changed. That may take a while but it can be done. That is just the nature of this hobby/business. By finishing your business on this issue, people may be willing to take a chance depending on how your customer service skills are with them. I can tell you it will take work, but can be done.
