In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No problem, disregard my last thread. Didn't mean to call you a girl. Well I did, but I'm sorry now.

LOL

It's ok---I'm metrosexual.

It helped a lot before I got a wife. But now it just sucks.

Paypal is preferred for payment, Chuck.

I'm not allowed to contact Chuck any more--he's notified me that he's forwarded all my emails to a NJ Detective. (I wonder if the Detective could put me in touch with the "Petty Crime" Division.).

He can contact a detective all he wants to. Unless you're making threats of bodily harm and he has proof of it the detective won't waste his time. N.J. law states that you have every right to settle a debt before bringing legal action, which is what you can do if it's worth it to you. I bet a detective hasn't even been contacted and if he was he said sorry pal, can't help you.

It's his neighbor---and Chuck Tornetta misunderstood a comment I made. I apologized for that---I'm a mouthy one--and I see the battle of text and how it can be misunderstood. I mean no physical harm. I was just very peeved.

If the detective calls---I have nothing to hide. I don't wanna hurt anypone--I just don't want Chuck to do this to anyone again.

I should ask for a temporary ban so I can STFU. :)

I would recommend everyone to STAY away from doing business with Chuck...I learned my lesson the hard way way back in 04-05. Chuck lies an MISREPRESENT his stuff in a shady manner. I was just getting into Sharp Albino boas back then and he had an ad up for a PROVEN female Albino and a pair of adult hets. We made a deal for them and he Guaranteed me the Albino was proven. Well I paid him a little over $10.5K for this trio. At first I had problems getting them to feed...took me awhile to get them on F/T...but that was not the problem. I bred the hets together that year, and I bred the Albino with one of my male proven Hypos. The hets gave me nothing but slugs and the female died shortly after, so I never got to prove them out....But that wasn't the problem. The Albino female took and when due date came around all I got from her was 3 dead premature babies and a few slugs. Now here's the problem.... I contacted Chuck, even though I did not think it was his fault. Just wanted to give him an update and explained to him the bad luck I had and she gave me all premies. Well his his reply was that's why he sold her...she is proven but all she would drop was pematures dead babies. And he even gave me a pic of her last litter with the dead babies!!
WTF!! How could ANYONE sell a female as proven knowing that all she gives out is dead premies! Especially taking the huge amount of money from someone...this guy has no ethics at all!
It took me some time to get over it and stop feeling like the biggest fool...But I will NEVER forget! I took it as a hard learning experience...I got duped to buy a proven breeder when actually it was a proven DEAD litter giver.
I hope everyone can learn from the costly mistake I made and not get fooled by this guy ever again. Chuck is the LAST person anyone should deal with! There's a few others too...but he tops the list!

I remember Chuck had an ad on KS a few yrs. ago where he was trying to sell some adult female Sharp strains, he posted pics of the dead babies in the ad (I remember them all stretched out in a laundry sink) as well as the females.

It just goes to show the comments made in another thread, when a breeder sells breedable animals first ask why, then as why again...and again...and again...

I can't help but respond to that $10.5K deal gone bad up above---holy crap. That's all I can say is holy crap and I'm sorry if that is true. Every day it seems I get a chance to get more freaked out about buying stuff online.

Chuck Tornetta left me a voicemail this afternoon to indicate that an 850g+ female was on her way to me via Fedex for delivery tomorrow. The tracking number is a valid one.

In the past seven days, I've dealt with a couple awesome breeders who I was either a repeat buyer of--or I was referred to by a repeat buyer. I just bought a male SK axanthic BP and a few smaller f/t eating female BP's that will be arriving this week.

But--I passed on a big 100% het Albino female---because I couldn't locate the buyer here. Normally, I would have taken the seller's word for it!! I guess I am lucky that all I had to deal with was some hassle---and no real monetary loss.

I've learned my lesson---I hope I never have to start a Bad Guy thread again.

I remember the ad too!
He had posted pictures of three litters of dead babies IN THE AD!
Aparently everything sharp strain he did that year slugged out, or gave nothing but premies, and he was washing his hands of them all.
Back then baby Sharp strain albinos were 2500, and he was charging a little more for his adults that had just slugged and threw premie clutches.(about the price of female Kahl strain at the time) He seemed very upset, and very animate about getting them out of there. The ad was gone the next morning though. I assumed he slept on it and changed his mind. Now it looks like he pulled the ads, and sold them without the pictures! AT least when he advertised them, all of the info was there.

Mark,
Just because there isn't a thread already here on the BOI you shouldn't automatically write the seller off as a "bad deal". You could have started an inquiry thread on the person. Or, you could have asked them for references that you could contact. The BOI is a great tool, but it shouldn't be the end all resource when determining if you want to deal with someone.

Hey Sam--I understand. I'm just gun-shy right now---You know, like after your first "fender bender" as a young driver.

The guy on KS was a first name only kinda guy and I couldn't tell where he lived. I thought about an Inquiry thread--but I feel somewhat overexposed here lately!  I really didn't need to spend the $600 this week, anyway.

What drew me to Chuck Tornetta's original listing was the fact that he was located in a bordering state. From my saltwater hobby, I know that a couple dollars can be saved by shipping to adjoining states---that's why I inquired with Chuck Tornetta about these females in the first place. (See post #1 in this thread to pick up from there!!!)

Yeah I wished I saw that ad with the premie clutches and info. Or at least during the whole time we were negotiating, he could have told me the FULL details and not just tell me that she was a proven perfect female. Like HELL I would purchase them if I knew. Why would I shell out over $10K for proven non viable producers? Maybe once he found out that I wasa from Canada...he felt that he could leave things out to mislead me. I don't know, but I well never deal or sell to him ever!
Even though it's been a long time ago and I am over it. But I will never deal with Chuck again...and I will not forget.

Hi. Just my un-asked for thoughts -

The advertisements were up for some time.
Eggs are heavy. My king laid a clutch that weighed 315 grams. Ball clutches are undoubtedly heavier.

I think the box used was gross (I always use a new box when shipping herps) and I think that the BPs should have been in individual proper snake bags and I think there should have been a clear statement that the BPs may not be 1KG due to recent egg laying, but I don't think that this was a complete rip off.

I do however think this whole thing could have been avoided if the seller simply had weighed the snakes and contacted the buyer and let him know the actual weight before shipping them. Then the buyer could have decided for himself whether the $15 he saved was worth it (not IMHO - it will take more than $15.00 of food to get them all to a kg) and all this mess could have been avoided.

It does look like Chuck compensated with another snake (I've not read entire thread) so hopefully that means all is square, hopefully he will weigh his snakes in the future before shipping and make sure that things are what the buyer expects.
