    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if somebody can give me accounts of personal experience with these guys. I sent them money via PayPal a couple days ago for 3 cups of hornworms and haven't gotten any communication since. The prices were good and with a voracious pixie frog to feed, that was a big part in my decision to buy from them. I realize they may not have been reading messages due to it being the weekend, just wanna make sure I've got no real reason to be worried. :)

Thanks in advance & best regards
Emily

Here's a screenshot of the transaction taken on my phone. PayPal.

The image doesnt work.
I've bought horns from them a few times previously. I was very satisfied. Have you talked to them on Facebook or only email? They are on Facebook fairly often. They probably have a lot of orders to fill last minute before the holidays, I wouldn't worry just yet. Or they may have already shipped them and just forgot to let you know.

Just an update for anyone wondering, if you want good communication definitely contact via Facebook. I sent them a message and heard back (I believe, it memory serves correctly) within the hour. Replied to that message and heard back in less than fifteen minutes. I'll create hopefully my first good guy thread on them when the hornworms get here since there doesn't seem to be much feedback about them already.

it's preferred if people use existing threads so as much information is in one area as possible, so I would suggest coming back to report on your transaction here.

I received my order today at approximately 9:30 am.

Upon opening the package, there was newspaper to keep the cups from rolling around, but no real insulation. There was a heat pack but it wasn't putting off any warmth. Considering the USPS delivered it a day late, I don't think that CNS is responsible for it.

Opening the cups- I ordered 1- 30 count cup, and 2- 15 count cups.
The 30 count cup had 12 DOA

and 20 live. (cap provide pics if anyone wants them)

The 2- 15 count cups had a slight over count, with only 1 DOA.
One set of the 15 are MASSIVE and I'm VERY happy with their size.
The other set of 15 are considerably smaller, but that will work well since I only have one animal to feed. Feed of the big ones first and let the others grow.

Unless communicating via facebook, I didn't get any response to inquiries other than telling me how much money to send through paypal.

Overall, it wasn't a splendorous experience, but at the end of it I am satisfied for the price. I won't be complaining to the company since the TOS states they aren't responsible for any losses if delivery is delayed. And ordering at this time of year, I knowingly took that chance.

I would order again, but maybe when weather is warmer and it isn't a holiday.

Hello, I am sorry about the DOA. I do not get on here fairly often and the best way to get a hold of us is via Facebook or email. I would be happy to send you out another cup after we start shipping again. The terms of service is really set up for times when the PO loses boxes and they show up a week late. 1 day isn't really delayed in my eyes. Send me a FB message or email and We'll get this squared away.

Have a good Holiday

Haven't been online much today. When I checked my FB I noticed that CNS sent me a message explaining that they would be replacing the DOAs. Above and beyond my expectations! Considering how I had interpreted the TOS, I was not expecting this nor would I have thought to ask. They are definitely good guys in my opinion.

yea they good guys. i order from them through my facebook tri state reptile group which they a memember on and am happy with my order maybe 2 or 3 dead hornworms. superworms are great. I will be doing all my worms order with them....

They get a 'good guy' vote from me. It was my first time having feeders shipped and I was very satisfied with the experience. The superworms arrived alive and were a good size. Communication was great - did most of it through Facebook actually.

Good Stuff-

I just received my Horn worms from C&S Feeders and am happy to have ordered through them. Communication is great and I generally only do so through Facebook with these things as that is the direction everyone seems to be going. The packing was ok, and the heat pack was still warm. I had 3 DOA but such is the risk with smalls in cold weather. Overall I am satisfied with my experience and would do business with them again in the future.

PS I approve this message

CNSFeeders came through on the replacements of the DOA in my first order.
There were 31 live and no DOA's.
It was well-packed and the heat pack was still warm. Also, this cup looked a lot cleaner & fresher than the 3 previously received.

I'm not sure how to upload videos on here, but here is a link to my unboxing video of the replacements on youtube.
