    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So you're unhappy you're getting more money(or product) in the end? You would rather of had 2 YB's over a Huffman? A MALE Huffman?

Just out of curiosity. How long would it take for that Huffman to breed your normal female? Or your other females? even with just the single Huffman, you're further ahead by a LONG shot then with a pair of YB's had the Ivory bred.

Seems to me there was an agreement regarding the original pairing. What gave anyone the thought that the terms should be different if a different male was used? I don't think Craig seems unreasonable at all.

I think since there was no new agreement then the original agreement should be honored. If you were friends before, split it 3/2 and continue to be friends.

You're missing the point, Utta. He never agreed to any deal, so that male should never have been paired with his female. Period.

Price of the morph is irrelevant.
 
check the tracking on my female, and the breeding on iherp.it says this was strictly zara x nostromo. she had all intentions of breeding the huffman to her.

we both should of done an agreement. but at the same time, she had two of my females and was having one in with her huffman in from 1/17 on and the other from the time she got her. there is no tracking that i can find on my female zara even being with the ivory!

Agreed.

Abby never made a point to change the original agreement(sux to be her) and there was no reason for Craig to think the original agreement didn't still stand(reasonable assumption).

IMO, Abby gets first pick, Craig second, Abby third......until all are spoken for. Anything less than a reasonable split will not put Abby in a positive light. Abby just needs to chalk it up to lesson learned.

Exactly....it's sad that sometimes people let visions of dollar signs cloud their view of what's right.
 
Abby - I'm sure Craig (or is it Criag?) would have been satisfied with a single Huffman and whatever normals were produced if the outcome was what you initially expected/projected. However, beating the odds doesn't mean you get to shaft the guy; and trying to claim 4 out of 5 Huffmans as yours simply makes you look greedy.
Since you made such an issue that it was your male that provided the genes, and you could easily have purchased a cheap female to breed....I'm going to suggest that perhaps you SHOULD have gone that route. Your male provided the genes; but, without Craig's female, that clutch wouldn't have happened. He's due more than a single baby - if you are set on keeping 4 of them, the simplest solution is for you to make him a cash offer in lieu of another baby. (This time, don't ASSume that the lack of a timely answer means acceptance...lack of response can also mean disagreement)

I said a friend and I had spoken and we thought 1 Huffman and some normals would be fair to give to him for his contribution of the female normal. He responded to the message, but avoided the question - I took this as him being okay with that idea (as would any one, I would think?) Here is that info.

Abby, you asked for opinions and input from the public, ^ the above bold is your answer. I'm POSITIVE you meant well and NEVER thought it would have come to this, but it happened.

You invested.

-An expensive male
-Incubation
-Time
-Space

Craig invested his Normal female worth less than 100$.

All of this really doesn't matter without a clear understanding on the clutch split. I agree with the thought that the male SHOULD NOT have been paired with the Huffman without a CLEAR understanding. A lot of time takes place between the breeding and eggs being hatched, why not give him a call? or another email setting the deal in stone. I dont mean to be mean but in hindsight you know better ;/.

So there were a total of 5 Huffmans? from the sounds of it Craig is looking for 2 of the 5 correct? 4 of which are female?

IMHO

Take 3 of YOUR choice, and give him the remaining 2...

OR

take 2 give 2 and split profit on 1 ..

However this turns out, take 1 thing from this... a lesson learned on friends these day's...

^^ the above is my business prospective, my honest opinion is SERIOUSLY? Take the 1 Huffman and consider Abby a saint for giving you the opportunity to produce an animal like that. And your threats about "bringing this to fauna" is the reason it is here don't sit there and be like " Oh I wasnt the one who posted this here" ... seriously....

Shadera is absolutely correct here.

If it were my snake, normal or not I would be angry as all get out if the arrangement was changed, including the amount of babies I would be receiving.

We just finished a breeding loan with a friend. He had the female and we had the male, it was established ahead of time that we only wanted 1 snake from the breeding. We got lucky and it is a female.

The other 2 that hatched are possibly a new morph, we love our friends more than any snake and are thrilled to death that he may have found something new and different.

Give the man his 2 Huffmans, and maybe you can salvage the friendship
 
Michael, with regard to your last statement, Craig DID bring it to Fauna...he just didn't bring it to the BOI. He posted it as a question of what would be fair/appropriate, without details of the morphs OR Abby's name. I probably would have interpreted his statement as a threat of a BOI thread, as well...but, at this point, given the leanings on the other thread, I could accept the thought that his goal was to counter Abby's claims of people saying she's right.

I completely forgot you posted this. Abby, you beat the odds on your clutch, you had not planned on doing so (obviously) but what if you had had 5 normals? You got 5 Huffman's and from what you say Craig and you are good friends. :shrug01:. You have to sort of understand his frustration...
 
i didn't post it here. did i say bringing this to fauna? ya but i didn't want to. what the heck else am i suppose to do? jumping jacks because she hit the lottery off of my snake. i don't think so. i am ticked off to be honest. please check out the tracking and breeding for my snakes that she had. there are pictures of an ivory and nothing but huffman breeding. therefore i feel i am entitled to my 2 pythons. oh here is a thought. i wanted a yellow belly male. she has one for sale. she new the whole time i have been wanting to male cherry bombs to have as a pet for my daughter.
LETS MAKE THIS EASY, she gives me the one male huffman and the male yellow belly she is trying to sell for 200. and we call it even since yellow bellies are what i wanted in the first place. that to me would be huge for her. and satisfy me (to were i would drop it) lets see her reply? anyone argue that this would solve a huge freaking pain in my butt on a saturday night.
