Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Craig Hughes (twohy4you)

It seems to me like this is resolve-ABLE, if Craig and Abby are willing to settle somewhere in the midde.

From just the info in this thread there's suggested resolutions from both parties, but neither has agreed to the other's proposal.

Maybe they've taken the discussion off of the BOI? IDK if this is resolved already or not, but hopefully there will be good news from one or both shortly.

Apparently not. To some, the perceived value of snake is worth more.

Abby already stated she deleted the tracking for the original pairing. Sorry it came to all this Craig. All I can say is take what she is offering and move on. In the future, pick your friends a bit more carefully. Believe it or not, there are people who value friendship over a snake(s). God help us all if there weren't.

.....and I wouldn't worry at all about your name being on this thread. As Harald stated, most understand what this was about. True colors came out here and you are walking away just fine.

I have to agree here. About the friendship value thing anyways. Example:

I bred a friends spider male to a normal female of mine, I also bred multiple other males of mine to my normal female, she knew this. I didn't need to use my friends spider male. I had one of my own. It was a favor to her.

We cut the eggs last Thursday. No spiders. I felt bad. I know she was bummed. I'm giving her a morph and most of the normals. Do I have to?? Hell no. Why am I?? Cause we are friends and I know if the situation was reversed I would appreciate her doing this for me and giving me free snakes she wouldn't have to give.

With the value of the huffmans issue. I don't believe the males should be any more than 800. Females 1000. But that's my opinion.

Abby I like you a lot. I don't know if we would be considered friends cause we aren't close like that but we are acquaintances and go way back to Harrys forum and all that drama there.
Maybe one day a friendship will be there, who knows. But this surprised me. If I was in your situation I would have handed over the huffmans and patted him on the back and gave a huge congrats. Maybe draw up a breeding agreement for the female in writing that you get one baby from her?? Or from the male, whatever one. But you were being stingy imo. No offense like I said I like you and respect you and I'm stunned by all this.

I'm currently breeding multiple males to the same friend mentioned above females, 3 of em. What if I did something like that to her cause I got a 3000 male and decided to pair him to her females and tell her she can have only one from each clutch. F***ed up thing to do.

This is just my opinion I mean no offense to anyone. I'm thinking this as a business perspective. Value of the snakes mean nothing no matter what. No matter who sired the clutch.

What if it were one huffman??? You should sell it split the profits, split the normals. Or be a good friend and let him have the huffman.

If I would've gotten in a situation where his female produced all normals, I would've given him one of my other Huffmans out of another clutch no issue. I just feel him asking for more than that is ridiculous considering he wouldn't be getting that much value from the original pairing any way you slice it (even if I gave him an entire clutch of YBs). If this situation was turned around and I was in Craig's position, I would have NEVER asked for a 2nd Huffman because I would think that I was lucky to get one since the value is greater than 2 or 3 YBs like the original agreement. That's just how I see it, everyone is entitled to their opinion  and I'm making the situation "right" (although I still feel I'm right) so that's all that matters IMO.

Oh yes I totally commend you for making it right "in his eyes". Sometimes we just have to do things like this.

Can I ask why, if its a value issue, you didn't say yes to a huffman and the yb male - I stopped reading by page 10 so if it changed or was asked, sorry.

Also I don't mean to offend by stating my opinion on the value of the huffmans. After seeing some of the combos I'm not too impressed, pretty yes but nothing that is eye popping yet. I would and want to make a counter offer on the huffman male you just hatched but figured it would be like a slap in the face, considering what you're asking for them, so I haven't. Plus I've been moving the last 3 days and the past two hrs is the first chance I had to pull out my phone and browse fauna since friday night. I have to say I missed a lot!!!

Sorry you both had to go through this and that it had to be brought here to "hash it out"

Glad to see things were resolved and no ones rep was damaged.

Thanks. Exactly.

and it's because I feel like this deal is on one clutch, he doesn't need to get an animal from another one of my clutches. I'd just rather do it that way.

Abby, I had another question I was thinking of this weekend. Did you pair your Huffman with any other females and produce any other clutches of Huffmans this season?

and it's because I feel like this deal is on one clutch, he doesn't need to get an animal from another one of my clutches. I'd just rather do it that way.

I'm also a bit baffled by this. The original reason you thought he only deserved one Huffman was the perceived value of the Huffmans.

Unfortunately, I also don't see much visual difference from black pastels. Even the supers look like selectively bred black pastels to me. I've not been able to see what all the "hooplah" is over them, try as I might.

I've read the back story on them, but if I were to see them, not knowing the back story - I'd just say "neat Black Pastels". I'm not sure that I would value them at $1500 to $1800 either. I know I wouldn't get into the project at that price, simply because they're not that visually different black pastels (to me). Might be fun to dink around with, but if I had $1500 to $1800 to drop on an animal, not sure that would be the project I'd invest in. I'd need to see a lot more combos and their potential first.

I would have liked to have seen the two of you come to an agreement that was amicable for you both. Craig's offer seems quite fair, since the whole purpose of this thread was to get opinions on whether he "deserved" two Huffmans out of this clutch. He's willing to let by gones be by gones with one Huffman and a YB, which works in your favor.

Sadly - it's looking more and more like this friendship won't be salvageable - which in my estimation is the biggest loss of all. :(

Yes, I did, two other clutches.

Yes, but at this point I just want to get this done with and I don't really care about giving him two at this point. If that's what he thought he was getting, so be it. I shouldn't have taken the time to breed his normal female to my male so I'll just have to pay the price of a misunderstanding, and I'm ok with that.

and some people can't tell a normal from a Yellow Belly. ;) This thread isn't about people's opinions on morphs or their prices. If you want to discuss that though, feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to help. :)

....EXACTLY! I think it is funny that Abby is being called greedy here. The person with the only genes that even mattered here.....you know those "Black Pastel" genes .......

LOL! The reason she appears greedy is BECAUSE she feels it was only the genes that mattered here.

Actually, no. I felt like him expecting he should get half (when he didn't contribute half, value or effort-wise) was a slap in the face to my contribution and work. I felt like he was the one putting the snake's value over our friendship. Opinions may differ, but that is how I felt. I am so greedy because I offered to give a friend access to a morph they never would have had, I guess. and now I'm still greedy because he's getting exactly what he wanted

I thought I was done??:shrug01:
Correction: Post 1-ABBY:

Geez Deb you know what, your right. How could I have missed that ?
Please excuse me.....so one normal as well....I still don't see how the female matters here?? Gene wise anyway......which was the point I was making. Thanks for nit picking though:thumbsup:

I originally thought is was just 3 Huffs anyway, or a possible 3. Then I saw it was said it was all Huffs. I am a bit confused there but either way I was talking genes, which the female didn't play a part of.

Yes, two are very dark and the other three are lighter. I am pretty sure on two of them but waiting on the last to shed. Either way, we will be working something out. He is insisting there are 5, so if there are, he will get 2.

BTW, I have explained this to him numerous times.

That isn't really debatable though.....the Huffs genes, that produced an ALL Huff clutch......yeah those were all that mattered here.:shrug01:

I know you think so, and I feel sorry for you.

I am just repeating myself and am sorry for that so I will leave it with this......and unlike others in the history of the BOI, when I say I am done here, I actually mean it.

This was a breeding loan between friends. Would Craig have made out like a bandit here? ABSOLUTELY!!! And Abby would have came out a real winner. She not only would have had a few Huffmans but she would have had a friend for life. She would have been a true friend who didn't think about herself and jumped at the chance of helping someone out. The kind of friend we all want and, I believe most, want to be.

Instead, greed set in. This wasn't about helping a friend, it became about getting hers. It was no longer about friendship but what she considered fair. In the end, the clutch was still split but not before everyone got to see her whine, and continue to whine, like a child who's younger sibling received an additional present under the Christmas tree.

Abby could have come out of this shining. A model of behavior to this community which everyday seems to need more of. Instead.......well here we are.

Nice little story there, too bad it's fiction. I know I'm not the only one who thinks Craig is the one being greedy. Obviously not everyone thinks that. It really is a matter of opinion. Before I posted this, I asked numerous people because I really was torn. I didn't want to hurt Craig's feelings, but I was assured over and over that I was in the right and that I NEEDED to post this. Before I even posted it I had already decided if folks thought I should give two I would. That was already decided.
