In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Dan White - Bad service and sort of a thief

We can agree to disagree Aaron, I just believe labeling someone "sorta a theif" is wrong. Unless you have email's etc. to back up your claim, then your claim's stand for nothing.
Ever think that his perception of the worms he sent to you, was (what Dan thought) the right size? Maybe he thinks the size he sent you was medium supers? and maybe you think that they were larger than what you expected. Who's to say? It's "sorta" like, I order a snake on-line and I ask for a sub-adult, and the snake comes in 3" longer than I perceive a sub-adult should be. Does that make the seller wrong, if HE perceives that to be a sub-adult?

Randal Berry

Other than to check to make sure that I had been dealing with Dan White personally. I have not contacted him since the incident. I thought maybe I had just been dealing with an employee and not the owner/operator. I will email him.

As I have previously stated. The entire transaction was conducted over the phone. It's going to be his word against mine. Would emails that I sent to other vendors, asking for medium supers help?

Seeming as you already contacted your CC Company and they can sort it out, what are you trying to gain from the thread you started that you can't provide proof for? And no, your words with other vendors will not help. This is between you and the seller.

No Randal. It's not a mistake of one mans large is another mans small. 500 medium supers comes in a deli cup. Full grown ones come in a box.

The buyer doesn't sound satisfied... :shrug01:

Sam, he is sho nuff not. But what do you personally think about the rest of the post I made? Should the seller make it right even if in fact the OP misremembered and ordered regular size bugs?

How do you know if it's not a mistake of one mans large is another mans small? If you ask some breeders what the right size for "medium" is then you might get 10 different answers. The words small, medium and large are only used as estimates and not exact measurements.

So what did yours come in? Did you take pictures of your order on arrival? Do you have proof that you received a box and not a deli cup?

Well, I can only speak for myself, I would have sent him another 500 medium. $11.00 isn't worth the headaches. That being said, his TOS say's "satisfaction guaranteed"; the customer isn't satisfied. If he meant something other than "satisfaction guaranteed", then he shouldn't have said "satisfaction guaranteed". If in fact it was all done over the phone and there is no way to prove who made the mistake then it falls back upon the question; is the customer satisfied, because that's what the seller is guaranteeing.:yesnod:

Seems lately too many people say one thing in their TOS and then change it to suit their needs if something goes wrong. :(

Does it matter? The seller guaranteed his customers satisfaction; he isn't satisfied, so the seller needs to honor his guarantee....

Here are copies of all the emails I can find where I ask other vendors for small superworms. As I previously stated, all of my dealings with Dan White were over the phone.

Hi,

I am looking for some juvenile superworms. The adults are too large for my small chameleon, and mealworms are not exciting enough to draw his attention very often. Also I've heard that superworms are more nutritious. I had 100 of them, but he ate them and the guys I bought them from have been disappointing when it comes returning phone calls. Can you help me out? I'm in Texas.

Thanks,

Aaron.

Here is a link where you can order them from just ask for med. supers http://www.cricketfactory.com/ Just be really carfull when ordering when hot they can die easy. Sam,

I agree that eleven bucks is an easy fix for customer satisfaction. And that doing biz with you sounds like it would always be a good experience.

I really want to hear what the seller has to say to see if there is more to this though. I just don't think of the seller as a thief.

I agree; this thread may have warranted "Bad service" in the title, but calling the seller a thief is uncalled for, in my opinion.

What is strange is when I looked through the BOI thread about this seller (linked, above) this seller got raves. Perhaps it was an off day, or perhaps there is more to this story.

Of course he needs to honor his guarantee. I never said he didn't need to. The point is that there isn't any information given by the OP that can be used to prove that this was all the sellers fault. It could have been a misunderstanding. And if that's the point, the seller still needs to come forward and make things right.

I agree with Sam and Lucille about $11.00 not being worth all of this trouble. If he had said, oh I'm sorry, "let me replace those for you." Then I would have been satisfied, and definitely ordered more worms from him in the future. Even if the mistake was on my end, and it wasn't, but lets pretend that it was. That would have been the right business move to make. Repeat business at the cost of a few dollars worth of worms.

It's not the worms I'm mad about, nor is it the money. It's the treatment.

Nichole, I think we fundamentally agree with each other, but the buyer has already stated he has no proof other than his word. If the transaction occurred on the phone and the seller comes here to dispute what the buyer said then all we would have to go on is his word as well. Absent an e-mail or an order form placed by the buyer on the web, etc.. than the only thing left is the guarantee of satisfaction that the seller proudly has displayed in several places on his website. So then the question is whether or not the buyer is satisfied, clearly he is not, and whether or not the seller will honor his own guarantee... :)

Well of course you do, we are supporting your argument. Just kidding

However, I really think you should apologize for calling the seller a thief as that really wasn't warranted given the circumstances of your transaction.

I agree reapet businness is always worth a small price..But,you stated if,if it was your fault it would have still been a good businness move for him to send you more worms for free??..Sorry but I DONT agree with that...
