In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dawn Grassi

Understood and accepted.

AS far as you getting your shipping refunded, thats pushing it... you did not disclose info to Lisa was was important and COULD affect the health of the animal.

Lisa has been honest with you from the start and informed you of anything she discovered and the condidtion, you are NOT buying the animal from her guarateed perfect, she is returning an animal she was sold with a problem

Thanks for resolving this the right way

Lisa, please post and let us know that things when through as agreeded on

Jeff, you're missing the point. This has had nothing to do with wether the beardie was actually sick or not. Every one has already said it could be sick or it could be genetic.

This has everything to do with the fact the beardie has a defect, wether illness related or genetic, that was not disclosed to the purchaser prior to purchase. This in itself warrants the full, unconditional refund.

And to answer your question, no Lisa would not owe you anything even if the beardie tested fine for any illness.

And yes, you are doing the right thing now. That will help you start to rebuild your reputation.

I did not know this dragon was sick, and it is still not proven by a vet that it is sick

And it's still not been proven by you that it isn't. Vet report?

That's it? That's the entire report? a $10 fecal?

Did you just take a pile of poop along or the animal itself? If you didn't take the animal, how could it have a completely clean bill of health? All a fecal can demonstrate is that it has no parasites.

Renal failure isn't a parasite.

Normally, when we go to the vet, we are actually given a printed receipt and/or report of exactly what is or isn't wrong so that we can pass it on if the animal in question is intended for a new home after us.

Can you prove the dragon is sick???? Look, the refund offer is on the table.I should retract it from all of these ridiculous accusations being made. This dragon is not proven to be sick.Stop the bad mouthing. The full refund including return shipping is still on the table!!With no conditions attached. It needs to be taken up on and it has not so far!! What more do you want me to do????????????????????????????????Also if the dragon is so sick why did she tell me I could just send her $75 and the issue would be settled, that she would keep the dragon????Would you keep a dragon if you were positive it was deathly ill?? I wouldn't.Just email me and I will forward that email to anyone that want's it.

I am offering a full refund!!!!! Let's get this dragon sent back tomorrow!!!! Is everybody understanding that?????

erm, Jeffy

You said the refund was between the breeder and Lisa, are you saying different now? Are you saying your the same person since you can not withdraw what you said was his offer?

The only thing we are trying to do was tie up some loose ends on your verasity, for our own consideration, not what is going on between the breeder and Lisa..... is that a problem for you?

You and Dawn stated you had the dragon have a full checkup amonth ago. ANY VET that examined this animal would have noted the eyes and informed you of the possible conditions that cause this.

This has to do with your honestly...now, not the transaction. IT has to do with a thread being here in the first place and what transpire before it gets here and what is the business routine someone follows.

Its commendable that you contacted the breeder and that breeder is possibly willing to correct something that should not have happened in the first place..... but it still does not answer statements you and Dawn have made in this thread and MANY people have asked for. That has a bearing on you as a person and in this industry.

Innocent until proven guilty???? Healthy until proven sick???Do you understand that I am trying to correct this so called problem and issue a full unconditional refund?? Also like I said before would you offer to keep a deathly ill dragon and just have the seller send you $75 to settle the dispute??Please answer that question

Sorry it has taken so long to get back on here and post... I have a ton of things going on today...

I am sorry Jeff, but the "breeder" is not being very cooperative.

He refuses to talk via email and is insisting on talking on the phone.

He is asking for my phone number and when I replied asking for his, he is refusing it.

I do not just hand out my HOME number to everyone that writes to me with a hotmail address.

I WILL ship her out tomorrow, but only if the $$ is sent to my Paypal account in advance. If you think I will "scam" you or anything, you always have the BOI to fall back on saying I never sent it..... I will even post a tracking # on here for everyone to prove I shipped her, but I will not ship before the $$ is in my account. I want to have her shipped to the breeder .... So all you two need do now is decide who is refunding the $$ and send it to my paypal account and also a shipping address for the breeder.

The refund offer is from us or the breeder, contact Lisa for more info.I do not have paper work on fecals. That is no lie.The breeder is also reassuring me that the dragon is not sick, that is why he is offering Lisa a full refund on the dragon also.Look at some websites of some very well known bearded dragon breeders and you will see some droopy eyes in thier picture galleries, obviously they don't see that as a problem and everybody really praises thier dragons!! Don't you think the fuss should stop and see what happens with the refund if the dragon is sent back??

NO, I would not

Lisa asked for the $75 refund as that was what a vet visit and blood panel would cost, she has a appointment Tuesday with her vet and would have her checked then, that was also AFTER she asked you for your vets name and report...... it was based on your statement she had a clean bill of health and exam a month ago.

She never said that was all and she would NOT return the dragon if that visit showed something else........ it was based on your statement the dragon has a clean bill of health and no issues. This was the DAY the dragon arrived.

Since then, it is evident that the dragon had NO vet visit or clean bill of health and she is not asking that now

Your turn

I am heading out to take my kids to the movies.. I promised them I would earlier in the week (before all this and the dragon's arrival)

I will check emails and the board later.

Email me and I will give you my phone # but do not give it to anybody else.I will send the money when the dragon arrives, whether it is dead or alive. And that is posted here for everybody to see!!

Cheri Smith

Email me and I will send you her email about the $75 to prove that what you just posted is not true.

Cheri Smith

Please email me so I can forward the email to you,or somebody tell me how to post an email on here with the original header included. No one has seen all of the dealings here between Lisa and I.

I might be able to answer that question for you Jeff. Not from the mind of the buyer but from my own mind.
There are people who consider the animal first and foremost. That would include being afraid to send back an animal to a person who sold an animal in that condition. The buyer may say, I will eat some losses as well as the seller and split for costs. That way the buyer KNOWS the animal will get vet care. This is of course just my opinion. I have read where most would say, send it back, but for the buyer looking at the animal it is hard to do.
Now what is the vets name that you took this animal to and who is the breeder? The one who refuses to email or give his phone number out?
HMMMM wonder why that is???
