This is one sad story...I'm so sorry for all the people that are involved and are getting scammed.

I sure do hope that this all works itself out and that you see your money back. Unfortunately I wouldn't hold out on hopes that you'll get your geckos though. I bet they are either gone already, sick and/or dying, or he never had them to begin with.
I don't mean to deliberately rub salt in the wounds here, but for the people that actually sent payment when things were getting fishy...what stopped you from backing out? I guess it's not as clear when it's happening as compared to when you have the whole thing laid out in front of you like in this thread, but there were definitely a lot of red flags that would have prevented me from doing business at all. When I saw the ads posted, I saw that some random guy was selling a Crown Jewel animal using Erica's photos. Isn't that a huge red flag right off the bat? One of the biggest things I'm against is plagiarized photography

, and I know many of you others pick up on that as well. I would have demanded new photos and correspondence before sending that much money for a gecko. Yes, it's an amazingly beautiful animal, but was her beauty and reputation clouding people's judgement? I hate to say it, but it seems as though it was more than just Beando being greedy. People jumped at a well-known animal coming from a not-so-well-known seller and we should all know better and be careful not to do that. To me, the signs were there that things were going to go sour.
A random lie I picked up on when reading this.....At first he said that his scale was broken so he couldn't get updated weights, but then someone else posted that he said his friend had his scale. Just something I noticed.
Can someone send me his IP address so I can block his postings and ads from the Repashy forums, if he should decide to post on there. If he has a username there, it isn't the same as everywhere else.
I had NO IDEA paypal will not help if you paid with partial payments, sounds like another excuse to me! What happened to good customer service and appreciation?
I'm sure Paypal is doing what they have to do to protect their own rear ends...I wouldn't want to read through their fine print to figure out everything that they are about, so I don't blame them and hope that I don't ever have an issue.
