Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Derek Beando Dbeando scams

Apologies - there was a typo in my statement. I met with Derek on Friday, 3/30/12, not 4/1/12 (as 4/1 was a Sunday).
 
this is actually getting annoying actually, on Friday the 7th we made a claim, but they said they got the claim but not the paperwork, so after a week of calling i put in a second claim with new paperwork, they said i would know monday, but monday and Tuesday went buy and no word from my bank and nothing was credited. im going to call again tomorrow to see if i got anything :-/

I feel it's probably for the best considering Cpl. Ury might have got in trouble for distributing the property on his own accord. I hope the victims that live somewhat close will press charges against Derek.
 
i just got a call from my bank say that im approved for the refund, now we just have to wait for it to be credited.

everything is still up in the air about what we can do about derek, the geckos and the other refunds
 
i got half my refund back from the bank so far, however paypal decided to charge my account for the money so now I have to fight then for it...

I'm sorry, that left me confused. What is PayPal charging your account for? and WHY?
 
i paid for vegan in two parts, 250 and 300, PayPal didn't accept my claim so I had my bank cancel the payment(250 went through, 300 is pending) PayPal said that since the payment was already given to derek and my bank was no longer able to send the money then they will have to deduct the payments from my current balance because of insufficient funds for a purchase... i talked to two people, one said I would need to pay that money back, the other said they have to analyze the claim to see if I should get the deduction off. he said if its not off in 3 or 4 days call back. i hate PayPal

That seems absolutely ridiculous. The bank obviously had a reason to find in your favor, there is zero proof that you ever received what you paid for, and yet Paypal is still going to go after you. If they have a problem with the bank taking the money back then they need to take that up with the bank, not you.

I would definitely keep calling until you can get someone on the line a little more willing to help. Difficult, I know, but hopefully worth it in the end. I wish you luck.
 
thanks, that is a good point, I'm going to give it until Monday to see if they credit it, if not ill call again
 
I have kept in contact with Derek's family and up until this point still kept a tiny bit of hope. I am extremely sorry to inform everyone that over the weekend Derek's landlord found all of Derek's animals dead in his home...sorry guys. Not sure what else to say. This makes me sick.

I hope he's imprisoned for scamming AND animal neglect/cruelty or whatever is applicable. I hate to ask, but did they say they looked as if they'd been gone.. a long time?

Kristy,

Can you contact the officer who was helping with the case and get him to confirm the news with the landlord?

I imagine this ups the ante against Derek. Possible animal neglect charges.
