    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Dereks-Dragons (Derek Baisley)

Thank you. Some people still would not have even offered any refund here but i tried. And josh keeps turning it down because of all that has been happening. So I don't know where to go from here but i thibm its pretty obvious that I should not be paying here.. so what will happen now? I dont know. But I think we need ti stol this childish lying and such, its obviously the same dragon and not misrepresented, and just settle this thing out

Josh, in light of the overall consensus of this BOI thread, I think it might behoove you to drop the paypal case and let them know you've settled 'out of court'. Even if you still feel slighted by a 15 y.o., I'm pretty sure the next dragon Derek sells will have all proper data attached and current, along with license, registration, shoe size, and disclaimer for all dogs within a 5-mile radius to be neutered or spayed ASAP.

Lol thanks. I've learned now that people can be quite literal and make a problem out of some small mis communicstions. I too obviously would hope josh continue to just be mature, drop the paypal case and end this here.

Here is where I am coming from. I paid for an adult leather back that was the coloring I was looking for. What I got was a sub adult that is nowhere near ready to breed or should not have been bred.

I guess that is one way to look at it. A very anal way to look at it, to say the least. However, 3 clutches of eggs and the animal still registering a heartbeat kinda makes your case, well, MOOT! Also, you mentioned coloring, but did not elaborate as to if you were satisfied with this animals particular shade or not, so what say you there sir? BTW, you aren't the guy that sits at a green light for an extra long time and seems to be waiting for a particular shade of green, are U?

Note to self: Do not sell Josh ANYTHING!

What im not understanding is if josh says this animal is to young and to small to be bred yet he still bought it knowing how small it was "around 16 inches as stated" why buy it in the first place if 16 inches to you is to young and small. Its not like once you recieved the bearded dragon suddenly 16 inches became a smaller number.

If one reads the advertisement for this young beard, the first red flag shot up for me with the post by Josh at the bottom - pretty demanding and uptight if you ask me - which you didn't, but this is America, so I figured I would just mention it anyway. The second red flag , for me, shot up with the video. What's up with those pants?

Certainly, I consider myself a part of THIS community. However, since I'm no breeder of dragons I guess Josh would classify me as mediocre, so I'll be bowing out now :rolleyes:

Honestly, the above quote, has to be one of the most illgotten and least likely to garner support, phrase of the year....

:iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree:

I was looking again at the pics on the first page of this thread, and in the bottom-most pic, that girl is every bit of 16", and possibly close to 16 and like 7/32" to be exact!!!! So like I said earlier, the length thing is (altogether now) MOOT!

Dragon looks good to me after a long ride. Close to length and weight. Dragon is in shed which was stated in ad. Pay the kid his money. Derek when I say kid, it's cause I'm 50 and my youngest is 24 ;)

Alright so back to clear up some things.

First off, re-reading some my previous post, mediocre was a poor choice of words. It was not a statement that I was hoping people would read into. Perhaps the better choice would be professional and hobbyist? I do not breed other reptiles but I do browse those forums. It seems to me that each species has a few breeders that are the best of the best. I listed three breeders but that was not the end all be all of top breeders.

I know that people think I am in the wrong here but I would think if you were in my shoes you would also be less than pleased. Here is a side by side of the male I had purchased to breed her to. As you can see, there is a noticeable size difference. I don't think it would be possible for him to breed her. I will also be posting a side by side of a smaller breeder female.

Also for the record, I in no way shape or form intend to take the dragon and the $. That is not my style. I have been replying to Derek via text and will gladly post those here to if needed.

And I fail at english. I did not purchase the male to breed to her. It was vice versa. I purchased her to breed to that male. And again these are just side by sides. New lizards are always kept in QT.

Also Anthony, I got a better measure of her. She is exactly 15".

So she is 1" shorter than he thought she was :shrug01:. Also, you seem to be hung up on this whole size thing! Why do you think that she isn't big enough to breed? Just because you have an adult that is bigger than she is???? I'll say it one more time......she......is......big......enough......to......breed. Because you say she isn't doesn't make it so. Personally I think you should drop the whole issue as you were NOT deceived during this sale. The dragon is as advertised.

Josh, in the better posed picture you posted, it's pretty obvious the lizard is over 15".

My question to you is, knowing she had just laid 3 clutches of eggs in the last 3 months(or 2 months depending on who's opinion is used), did you really believe she would be ready to be bred to your dragon?

My second question is, if she was 15" instead of 16"(which your photos do not show), do you really believe that the extra 1 inch would make her breedable instead of "too small"?

I did not purchase her with the intent on breeding her right away. She will be in QT for at least 90 days. By that time it will be approaching the cold season and would not be able to safely ship so there would be no point in breeding her. Best case scenario would have been early next year.

I also want to address the "attempted delivery" deal. The package was never attempted to be delivered. I picked it up from the PO. That box never saw a mail delivery truck.

I will attempt to explain why I am hung up on the 1". While it is not huge length by any means, it is not like her tail would be the only thing that would grow. She would fill out more overall as well.

Maybe I am way off base here but in all the research I have done, females should be 17" and 300g before attempting to breed. Unless something has changed the risk for egg binding in early breeding is high.
