• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Diana Carpenter, Maryland. Questionable customer service?

Has "Diana" signed on since a link to this thread was posted in her site? It's really kinda strange how someone can just up and disappear after they are called out! I'd like to hear about the contacts between Chuck and her as well!! I just hope that Chuck can take the proper actions to keep his money safe!!

Good Catch by the way Pav ... Thanks for looking out for everyone!! This is why the site is so popular nowadays... we all have to look out for one another!!

I agree with Pav it is the buyers responsibility to make sound choices and not the job of fauna to protect them from make hasty decisions or poor judgements. At most maybe there can be a sticky in the classifieds giving new buyers points on what to ask, checking the boi etc...

If I ever decide to sell any of the three mojaves I have left I guess I will just have to use only new pics cause my originals have been linked to like three or four scams. I guess there is nothing I can do huh?

Your pics are too nice for their own good!

You can always digitally watermark your pictures. I found inexpenisve programs that are easy to use for my photography. www.winwatermark.com

what programs because I was going to watermark all my pics put the software is just to expensive and I like the pics to but anyone who thinks that a mojave that is around 1000 grams and still has that color is probably filling you full of something.

Just write your name, user name, date and snake thats for sale on a Index Card thats for sale and put that card on the snake in picture.

I require all this on my forum

ahem...the watermark discussion needs to go elsewhere as well - no more warnings on this.
This thread is about Tigerlilly, aka Diana Carpenter

Dang Pav....I just read this whole thing. I actually saw the post for the Male bee and was lookin at it, saw you were lookin at buyin the female and I was like "oh cool" so I started writing my email to her about asking about the male.

.....Then I went to page two of that ad....boy I am glad I did not press send!! Geeze!!

When people pay with Paypal though, don't they get refunded if you can prove you never got the animal, and then they go after the person you sent the $$ to anyway? I've only dealt with one Ebay/Paypal dispute so I'm not too familiar on it.

I was thinkin the same thing as someone else, that Chuck is maybe a dummy account? Idk...anyway, glad you didn't send her any $$!! And I think if I buy snakes from now on I'll follow your lead and ask for the whole "name and date" thing in a pic.

Also, like someone else said at the beginning of this thread, this doesn't look good for us little guys. I mean, I don't have many posts on this site, but I'm always on Bp.net but if people are looking for users with a lot of posts, I can see how it can look like a scam if a person doesn't frequent one site quite as much. Booo on the whole thing!!! :(

Wow glad I read this! She was holding the 3 female normals for me until the weather warmed up a little bit. I've tried to contact her a few times over the last week and she hasn't been answering my e-mails. I started to become suspicous and thats when I found this. Thanks everybody for looking out.

Just to let everyone know that I was able to recover all the money I sent her through the dispute I filed with Paypal after I saw Pav's email. Pav did a great job in catching this scammer. If not for Pav's response to the post I addressed to this scammer, this Diana would have victimized more buyers. This is the first time I've dealt with a scam in Fauna after buying and selling BDs for quite some time, and it wasn't an easy experience to deal with. Probably, I just got too excited to get a breedable BP female that I jumped into the water right away. Good thing that Paypal has a way to protect their clients.

I would definitely be more cautious next time and follow the advice of the posters and mods in this forum. Special thanks to Pav for bringing this case here in BOI. Also, just to clarify, my account is no dummy...this is legit. I just refrained from posting until I got the result of my claim, thinking that it would be better not to give her an idea what I was doing to recover my money.

Thanks - chuckpb
